《A-Team》I'll Always Stay
Advertisement
Everyone is alseep when we return. I can't seem to get rid of the giddy feeling inside me. My mouth hurts from smiling so much and even though Raph doesn't smile a lot, I can tell he's been fighting one himself.
We leave a trail of tiny puddles behind as we head to our rooms. For a moment we freeze, not knowing what to say to each other.
"So uh..." Raph scratches his neck and his cheeks grow pink.
"Goodnight?" I chuckle nervously and he nods.
"Goodnight," he says slowly and he reaches the doorknob of his door. I begin to walk away and sigh. The atmosphere has suddenly turned awkward but I shouldn't expect much. Raph isn't good at this whole dating thing and I don't want to rush him.
"Leo wait."
I stop and turn to him. He looks down at the ground while playing with his fingers. He seems to be whispering something under his breath and he finally looks up.
"I was wondering if you...you know like..I don't know maybe.."
I walk and stop right in front of him. My presence only seems to make him even more nervous.
"Ya know cause like...I just uh."
"Raph just spit it out," I say with a laugh and hold his hand in mine. His body slouches and he breathes deeply.
"I don't want to sleep alone," he admits quietly.
"Why is that Raph?" I ask gently.
"I keep having this dream repeatedly and its scaring me," he whispers. I trace circular motions on top of his hand. He visibly relaxes and closes his eyes.
"Want to talk about it?" I ask.
He shakes his head. "Not tonight. Do you think...do you think maybe you can sleep here with me?" He asks with a shaky voice.

I take a sharp breath before nodding. "Yes of course Raph," I reply. "I can stay with you for tonight."
He guides me to his room and closes the door behind us. I let go of his hand and pull the covers. We both remove our masks and put them on the counter. I lay down first, at the far end of the bed and Raph lays down next to me.
"You okay?" I ask.
Raph doesn't respond immediately as he snuggles next to me. My heart warms up at the gesture and I wrap my arms around him.
"As long as you're with me, I'm fine," he replies. "Thank you for staying."
"I'll always stay," I whisper and pulls him closer.
"That sounds cheesy," he says and I can sense him grinning.
"Oh shut up. You like it," I remark.
"Yeah I do," he mumbles. "Now shut up and go to sleep you butthead."
"Fine. Goodnight Raph," I laugh.
"Goodnight Leo," he replies.
I've never slept so peacefully before in my life.

The Worldforge: Warlock Rising
Abandoned as an orphan, Mar was tested for magic by the Mages of Orelm and was found to possess immense magical potential, but when he grew old enough to start his training he found he was unable to cast so much as a single spell! Embarrassed by their mistake, the mages threw him in the library where he read books and tutored the mage students for a bit of money. All the while, he can’t help but envy the the students who are living the life he had so eagerly awaited. But when an object of great and malevolent power promises to make good on all the promises the mages broke to him Mar is thrust into the world of magic. Mar will find that fate had something more than a life confined to the library planned for him after all. Authors Notes: I consider this to be a comming-of-age Sword and Sorcery story based mostly on the style of classic western fantasies. So if that's your thing then I encourage you to take a peek. Something I want to mention though is that the main character starts of pretty wimpy, and that might not be your thing. That being said, if you stick with him he's got a long way to grow. Also, while this version of the story is meant to be fully readable, more dicerning readers may want to wait until I move out of rough draft phase. There may be some inconsistancies with character and plot while I am still in the rough draft phase. I'm sorry for this, but this is my first web novel and from what I've read the best way to get a good novel out is to write write write, and then edit ruthlessly after you're finished with the book, so that's the plan I'm going to follow. Again, this is a rough draft. Everything you are reading is subject to change, including the name, title, and cover photo. This may no longer be the case once I've decided I know where this fiction is going and I have a reasonable understanding of the characters and their behavior. You're reading what comes off my keyboard as it's made, with very limited editing. There will be mistakes in the text. I do a quick spell check to take out the worst of the errors, but there will be some I miss. You can point them out in the comments if they are particularly confusing or glaring and I will try to fix them, however I am not overly concerned about minor errors as this is not the final draft by any means.

ICOMO ODYSSEY
Jonathan Vélo never expected to be famous. Not for riding his bike all the way around the continent of Icomo. Every adult knows his story, and children learn about him at school. This, however, is the first and only biography written about that great man with foreigners in mind. We, his biographers, imagine they will be immensely grateful. Of course, readers will find the people of Icomo an unusual sort for glorifying a young man who did nothing more than quit his job and ride his bike from town to town, city to city… But in an age of robots and computers, when little escapes the notice of the historian, there is a quiet epic to be told. It is the epic of cozy nights in a tent below the stars, of warm wind and ocean waves. It is also the epic of missing old friends in faraway places, and that feeling of needing to make life mean something. *** ‘ICOMO ODYSSEY’ is a nostalgic slice-of-life adventure about a utopian sci-fi land. No clever villains or epic fights here. Just cozy pleasures, charming towns and villages, interesting cultures, and the people who live in them… This story will update bi-weekly on Friday and Saturday. https://www.scribblehub.com/series/467210/icomo-odyssey/
