We pulled up at the diner we where meeting Patrick and Marina up at. When we get there, we saw Patrick's car. We walked into the diner. And saw Marina sitting at a booth. We walked over and she stood up.
"Olivia!" She squealed as she saw me. I took 2 more steps to meet her, then embraced her in a big hug.
"Omg. Marina. I'm so happy to work with you." I told her after we released from the hug. She slide into the booth. I went to sit on the other side, but she pulled me into her side. I laughed, then sat down with her. Jesse sat on the other side across from us.
"Where's my big greeting like that?" Jesse asked trying to hide his smile. I giggled but just shook my head.
"Well, I just simply like her more. Is that so wrong?" Marina said with a smile and then put her arm around me.
"Yes it is! She's mine." Jesse said starting to pout.
"No she's mine I had her first!!" Marina told Jesse sticking her tongue out.
"Actually your wrong about that one. She was mine as soon as we met at her audition!" Jesse said sticking his tongue back out at her.
Then Patrick came to the table. I smiled and waved at him. But the other two where still arguing. He came over and sat down beside Jesse. Once he heard what they where arguing about, his eyes got big. Then quickly turned to look at them both. "Actually, sorry about your luck. But she has been mine first. And she will always be mine. She you can both back off!" He told them both. With a big satisfied smile.
They both stopped arguing and just looked at me. "I can be all yours. But on an account of who I met first, Patrick definitely wins." Marina smiled and hugged me. And Jesse and Patrick both looked at me with a huge grin. Then Jesse winked at me. I giggled. And the wink didn't go unnoticed by Marina. And Patrick was definitely suspicious.
"Olivia I have to go to the bathroom. Come with me?" She asked. She didn't give me a change to answer before she began pushing me out of the seat and towards to bathroom.

Once we where in the bathroom. I looked at her weird. She was staring at me. "Don't you have to use the bathroom?" I asked her.
"Nope, I just needed to get you away to talk." She said with a smile.
"Umm, okay. What are we gonna talk about?" I asked her.
"Why was Jesse winking at you out there? And what's with the comment her made on Instagram yesterday?" She asked. I started to blush. I was gonna tell her. But was that what Jesse wanted?
"Oh, um he's just being nice." I said. But knew she didn't believe it.
"I don't trust you. But I'm not gonna keep asking you. But if anything happens I better be the first to know!" She said. She smiled and we walked out of the bathroom.
Once back at the table. We both sat down, we then order our food. Once we ordered, we continued talking. Me and Marina exchanged numbers. Once our food was delivered, we all ate with small talk. After we finished eating, they gave us the bill. Patrick insisted on paying. We all got up and walked out. We said our goodbyes to each other. Then walked off to our cars.
As soon as me and Jesse where in my Jeep. After we argued over who was driving. And me just giving up, he looked at me and smiled.
"What?" I asked him with a smile forming on my face. He didn't say anything. But leaned in a kissed me.
"I wanted to do that in there so bad. You had no idea." I smiled. Then we both parted. But Jesse took my hand in his. And held it tight. The car ride was silent. Although I had a smile. I was so lost in my thoughts.
"Olivia, Olivia. Are you okay?" Jesse asked me, which snapped me out of my thoughts and back to reality. I looked over at him and faked a smile.
"Yeah. I'm totally fine." He didn't believe me. But let it go. We continued driving to my apartment. Once we arrived we sat in the car, neither of us moving.
Jesse moved to look at me. I turned slightly to look at him. But didn't look into his eyes. He lightly pulled me chin back up to meet his worried gaze.

"What's wrong liv? Talk to me. Please." He said. His voice was so comforting. I looked straight into his eyes. Meeting his worried gaze.
"What are we? I know it's only been a couple kisses. But when Marina asked me in the diner. I just froze. I don't know how you feel. I don't want to rush you. But the same time, I've been threw a lot. And I don't know if this is going to be just like that or not. I don't want to pressure you into feeling something you don't. Just tell me how you honestly feel." I said trying to fight back tears when thinking about me past. He leaned in and kissed me. I kissed back. I was a short but soft kiss. Once it was over, I leaned over. He took my hand. And began to talk.
" I like you a lot Olivia. Despite just meeting you, I feel like I've known you forever. And I love how you make me feel. When I'm with you, I've had this feeling I've never had before. Ever since you first walked into the audition room, I haven't been able to get you out of my head. I want to be able to comfort you. Like earlier when I saw you crying and upset. It almost broke me heart seeing you like that." He grabbed my hand.
We sat there for a couple second. Just looking at each other. "Come on, let's go to your apartment." He told me. We both got out and walked up to my apartment. Once we got there, I unlocked the door. And we both went to the couch. I sat down. He sat next to me. Neither of us speaking at all.
"I like you to. But we know nothing about each other. I know, that I like you. I can't get you out of me head. And all I can think about is you." I told him. I turned to him. And he looked at me. I was desperately trying not to cry. My eyes where filled with tears. But none of them coming out. He noticed and wrapped me in a bag hug. He kissed me head.
"Shh, it's okay. Your okay. What's wrong?" He told me trying to help. I looked up at him. And kissed him. He kissed back. But I pulled apart after a couple second.
"If I tell you about my past, I don't want you to look at me differently." I told him. Still looking and getting lost in his eyes.
" I won't I promise. But you don't have to tell me now. You can tell me whenever." I wanted to tell him now, but I didn't know if I was ready. He noticed I was thinking about what to do. So he spoke up instead. "How about this, we can just chill here tonight. The rest of the week we work. So how about either after work on day, or this weekend we can be together and You can tell me then." He offered. He was so sweet. And caring. He made me feel so good. I couldn't get any words out. So I just nodded. He slipped his shoes off, and took his jacket off and laid it over his shoes. I took my shoes off, and my jacket. And put they on the ground. He picked the blanket off form the ground from earlier. And laid back, he used his hand to pull my into his lap, and pulled the blanket over us. I laid my head down on his shoulder. And started to relax. He turned the TV on, and started to watch Hush. We started to watch it. and every couple of second I got a little scared. But he always rubbed his hand up and down my back and whispered that I'll be okay. Then I would ease up. I started to slowly drift to sleep. Before I did, I felt him kiss me head.
"Goodnight beautiful. Sweet dreams." He whispered into my hair.
"Good night Jesse. Thank you." I told him back.
"Anytime Liv." He replied. Not soon after that, I shut me eyes and sleep over took my body.

Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!
