"Hey Ash.. Are you okay? You know, after earlier?.."

As we walk home, I decided to ask Ash about Connor..Throughout the entire day at school, he never once's spoke about what had happened before class. We would talk during lunch and breaks like normal and everything seemed fine. But I could still tell there was something off with Ash. He just, wasn't quite himself.

"Yeah I guess so.. I'm just a little heart broken is all.."

I felt bad for Ash. Having a crush on the popular guy who 'valued' his reputation is never easy. But it made me angry to think that, having someone the same sex as you, have a crush on you, can ruin a reputation? It infuriates me. What stupid logic is that? People who are so against homosexuality are just... ugh what bastards!

"But honestly [Name], don't worry about it. In a couple days he'll forget about it and we'll go back to normal. Everything will be fine!"

He smiles cheerfully at me. But I couldn't help but sigh a little.

"Ash.. he's been suspended from school for a while. I don't think he's going to forget.."

I didn't want to basically tell Ash that what he was saying was wrong. There was no way a guy could forget about something that causes him to be kicked from education.. Despite being the popular guy, with seemingly anger issues.. I also heard he was actually really smart.

"Trust me, he'll forget! Especially tonight! He'll probably get so drunk at the party and forget everything about it."

Ash laughs, nudging me with his elbow. But I couldn't help give a confused look. Quite honestly, I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about.

"Why are you looking at me like that... Don't tell me you forgot about the party tonight?!"

I give an awkward smile as I rub the back of my head, avoiding eye contact with him.

"Goddammit [Name]! The Halloween party that is being held at the headmasters house? Remember he's going away for the weekend so his daughter Lucy will have the house to herself? Hence the party? Any of this ringing a bell?!"

To be truthful, I have no idea who Lucy is and I didn't even know the headmaster had a daughter. Honestly I think I must've been zoning out when Ash first told me all this.. But he seemed serious about it, so I wasn't going to say anything about that..

"Ah right yeah! Of course.. uhh... sooo what are we going as again?"

Ash stares at me blankly, as he blinks rapidly. The type of expression that reads 'I'm so done with your shit right now'. I couldn't help but grin. Ash loved to party, so me forgetting is probably a big deal.

He places his hand on my shoulder and shakes my vigorously to make sure he has my attention.

"You listening? Good. As we planned. You are going as a sexy nurse and I am going as a sexy policeman. Remember?"

"ME? SEXY NURSE??"

My eyes slammed wide open as my jaw dropped. Wearing skimpy and revealing clothing wasn't exactly something I was fond of.

I was about to try and talk my way out of it but once I saw Ash's face, the face of, 'I think I know what you're gonna say but please don't say it'... I just sighed and agreed to going. He seemed so looking forward to it and I just didn't want to upset him. Especially after having a pretty rubbish day..

"YES! Thank you [Name]! Now come on! We gotta go get ready!"

He grabs my wrist and starts running down the street, dragging me with him, I could only just about keep up without tripping.

"Woah woah! Why so early!"

Ash suddenly stops and turns to me, placing his hands on my cheeks, holding my face.

"[Name], you know I love you. But you take a seriously long time to get ready for parties... and tonight, we need to look EXTRA hot if we're gonna get that little butt of yours laid!"

He laughs, slapping my ass, causing me to jump and gasp.

"Ash!"

I yell, pushing him. But that only causes him to laugh even more. Although I do eventually give in and laugh with him. After my previous boyfriend and I had a messy break up. I haven't really gone looking for anyone else.. Ash kept trying to set me up with guys, but I just didn't click with them like I did with.... my ex..

Ash keeps telling me to not even think or say his name. As it'll help me move on quicker. But I'm not really sure how that's working out..

"Now come on! We got some preparing to do!"
