《Infected [killugon/killuaxgon]》Coward

I wandered passed several buildings, killed a significant number of walkers, and was still moving when daybreak arrived. I'd be passed out on the side of the road if I got any more exhausted than I was now.
I didn't have to leave like that; avoiding illumi, for the time being, would have been enough. I knew I'd never be able to stand up to Him, no matter how hard I tried. He's simply too powerful and manipulative. I wished I could be with Gon, Leorio, and the others. I left them alone without mentioning anything, which probably made me the worst friend and boyfriend on the planet.
After wandering through what appeared to be an abandoned town and drowsily taking out any walker in my route, I chose to enter a narrow alleyway and rest against the wall behind a trash can, obscuring the view of me from the outside. I hissed, picturing my friends' reactions to my departure. What would illumi do to them? I hit the back of my head against the brick wall, staying in that position until id managed to slip into a not-so-deep sleep.
------------
"Get up."
Maybe my sleep had been deeper than I anticipated, because I hadn't noticed when an older man stepped into the alley and pointed a gun at my head, glaring at me in confusion and hatred.
"This is private property. And how the hell did you get through the entrance gate?"
Before responding, I grinned fondly, "I picked your crappy lock. Yano, my boyfriend would smack you on the back of the head for using that gun. He told me once that he considers them good weapons, however, if you rely on them too much, you might get rusty with your hand-to-hand combat or something. I presume he is just afraid that once he starts, he will become overly dependent on it." I rambled tiredly, standing and leaning against the wall, without thinking too much about the pistol.

"I don't care. Why are you here ?" The man raised his voice and placed his gun at my temple. I smirked slightly as I placed my hands beside my head. "Please do not shoot me. I have a wife and four children at home." The man was now visibly perplexed, but he had not lowered his rifle.
"Didn't you have a boyfriend?" His tone was amused but stern, and he hadn't broken into a smile. "True, but I'm not the wife in our relationship, am I? Is he going to be the husband? But he behaves more like a wife than I am." Now I was confused, mostly talking to myself and thinking of the most off-topic things possible.
"Don't get off track, you fucking bottom. Why are you here?"
"I was walking around and ended up here. What exactly is this place?" I answered, entirely ignoring the first part and trying not to let it into my head. The man exhaled loudly as he lowered the rifle and took a step back.
"You're much too stupid to wreck this place. This is a significant gathering of survivors as well as a research institution. We are working hard to discover a cure, and we are getting closer." The man emerged from the alley, waving his hand and urging me to join him.
"I'm not stupid; I'm just tired. Why are there walkers in here if it's basically a safe place?" I questioned whether this was truly a safe place if the thing you were trying to avoid was directly in front of you.
"We don't allow our people to go outside, and it's a lot simpler to collect walkers to research if they're close enough. There are other entrances and gaps in the fences through which they can enter, and it would have been considerably easier for you to get in through those. That is why people like myself are looking for individuals like you who sneak in." The man explained, with an expressionless face.

"How many people are there in the building? Who is the most important?" I asked, but did not receive a response. We were now approaching a massive building with two large metal doors. When we got to the entrance, the man fumbled in one pocket, silently swearing, and slipped his hand into the other, pulling out a keychain ornamented with a bunch of keys and a picture of a little boy in a small plastic case.
He pushed aside keys and ultimately found the proper one, angrily ramming it into the keyhole and pulling the door open with force. He shut the door again after we were both inside, softly kicking the bottom half of the door in frustration.
"What's your name, Snow White?" The man joked, but he displayed no signs of amusement. "I'll only tell you mine if you tell me yours first." I reasoned, and I'll admit that I sounded like a child. "I guess we'll never know then." As we approached a new hallway with many more people, the man sighed.
"Goodmorning, sir!"
"Let's talk this afternoon about our findings, sir."
I guess that's one of my questions answered, he must have a higher position.
"How was your day out, Mr. Freecss?"
The man slumped and whined, having not wanted to give me his name. It didn't take long for me to realize why that name was familiar to me. "That's the surname of my boyfriend. Small world?"
The man froze, looking at me finally with an emotion-filled face. One filled with surprise, and anything related. "Call me Ging, alright? You can stay with us."
---------------------
I was taken around the facility, and after Ging notified everyone that I'd be there for a while, everyone treated me as if I were also some scientist. They all expected me to be the brightest person ever, and I gave them the best answers I could, all because Ging was the one who had let me stay here. Apparently, he's got a bit of an attitude and he likes almost no one. Why he had been so 'kind' to me was unknown.
I was given a small room with a bed, desk, and a small bathroom, and it didn't take long for me to fall asleep exhausted from the events of the day. I was utterly out of it the entire time, rarely responding seriously. That could have turned out badly for me.
When I revealed that both He and Gon's last names were the same, Ging completely altered his tune, which I'm quite sure is purely a cool coincidence. If Gon isn't too upset after all of this, I'd have to introduce them.
I'm truly sorry, Gon. I can't stop thinking about you, and I'm sorry for hurting you. I'll make amends the next time we meet.
Welcome, Ging...

This project has no purpose
Summary: This is the story about the life of a "human" amidst a world that only appears to be earth at first glance. Long ago the face of this world resembled the typical tales of yore; of knights and fairies, swords and magic, however such an era has come and gone. Even the world of fantasy has progressed steadily into the modern epoch filled with the wonders of science and technology! In the ancient times a certain crisis had occured that lead to the quick decline of various magical species. Due to their low population and general incompatibility with the other races they could not crossbreed to save their numbers. Left with no other choice the major races of the world gathered together in an attempt to change the fate of this dying world. Their only hope was a special 'world-tier' magic known as 'the dusk of harmony'. The result of this magic would dissolve every race into their purest essences known as 'aspect' and instill them within the human population. The humans were the best choice as their numbers were numerous and form was similar to most races. As such, the various races of this world managed to save themselves in essence and soul only, though perhaps there was no other choice. With the various humans now carrying the weight and aspects of those who came before, life has continued onto the modern age. Yet, even amongst these hybrids 'Pures' emerge from time to time, beings who have inherited not only aspects of the ancient races, but their forms too. These Pures are often times exceptionally talented and seen as near deities. This is the story of a perculiar boy who is born with the soul of a stranger from the world known as 'Earth'. With the memories and soul of a human, he too is a rare Pure; a pure human. --- This project literally has no purpose and is being written because I felt like it. There isn't any semblance of a solid direction nor have I thought about any characters aside from the main character and a few auxiliary cast. If you would like to contribute to building this world with me then please contact me through a DM or by leaving a comment, I will be sure to credit you.
