《Infected [killugon/killuaxgon]》'Friendly' chat

Killua and I sat under the stars on the other side of campus away from the other two.

Leorio and Kurapika might have been asleep already, besides the warm fire and comfy sleeping bags. What was so secretive about what Kurapika was saying, anyway? Killua clearly didn't want me to hear. Curiosity was getting the best of me, but I didn't want to invade their privacy.

"Why were you alone when we found each other, Gon? You keep mentioning your family, but you've never actually talked about them." Killua remarked, his gaze focused on the sky. I didn't respond right away, Instead, I was thinking about how awful it would be if Mito were still alive right now.

"I don't know, I was staying with my aunt at the time. What a coincidence. She went on vacation the same week and passed while I was on the phone with her. It was upsetting, but I managed to get through it. Working supported me in a way." I closed my eyes and exhaled. 'She wouldn't have wanted to survive like this. With that in mind, is it selfish that I want her alive with me right now? Running her hands through my hair and demanding at me to fix the knots?'

"I'm sorry that happened, Gon. Was it the same with your parents? " Killua questioned, resting on his hand and propping himself up on his side.

"My mom was never involved, and my dad left me when I was around eleven years old. Aunt Mito always has been a mother figure to me, so I suppose she'd be the first person I'd mention if someone asked about my mother. Who did you have, Killua?" I sat facing Killua, using my arm as a pillow and focusing solely on him.

"When I was a child, my family relocated to who knows where. I worked a lot, remember how I said I knew engineering? Even though I had more than enough money for a house, since my parents were incredibly wealthy, I eventually bought myself a trailer.

To sum, I've always been by myself."

It is sad to admit, but I'm used to it. I can't imagine living happily with my family. Even Alluka, the person I loved the most, had abandoned me. She would have been sixteen or seventeen years old now. If I'm not mistaken, her birthday was last month.

Gon's mouth was open in disbelief as if what I had just uttered was the saddest thing he had ever heard. He rolled on top of me and pinned me down with his hands on either side of my head, staring down at me with a now serious look. "Killua, we will be your family for as long as you are still with us. You can always count on us to bring a smile to your face! We might even ask Leorio to take us fishing sometime." He eagerly explained, wrapping his arms around my neck and hugging me tightly.

I must have been blushing like a lunatic at this point, awkwardly wrapping my left arm around his waist and patting his back with my right.

"You-you're crushing my spleen!" I gasp once he began leaning his entire weight on me.

"You don't even know where your spleen is, smart-ass."

"Fair enough."

"This is going to sound controversial, but I think that went well." Kurapika yawned out, In regards to earlier when he drove Killua and Gon to leave for the night.

"Got quite the mouth on you, someone should teach you what to do with it." Leorio quickly replied, leaning towards Kurapika with a smirk.

Kurapika gagged jokingly and pushed his face away, growing a smile of his own.

"I am fully convinced you never graduated kindergarten."

"Hey! I might not be the brightest tool in the... toolbox, but I'm up there!"

I was utterly coated in the blood of the deceased as I traveled for days and nights in search of any type of shelter. Finally reaching the exit of the never-ending forest, we are met with a large highway. A little down the road from where we stood looked like it could have been a circus. "Can you see that, guys? There's a tent over that way! Can we stay there for the night?" My eagerness was over the roof as I pleaded.

"We can only stay for the night, we don't want to risk anything." With that, my friend and I raced over to the entrance gates leaving the other behind. Once we arrived, it was clear the gates had been locked. So we did the next best thing and waited for our 'leader' to catch up.

"You guys- you cant run ahead like that!" Leader scolded. "sorry, we were just tired. The gate is locked, how will we get in?" My friend asked, desperation filling his eyes.

Before our leader could utter a sentence, We heard a man's voice shouting in our direction.

"Hey, who are you people?!"
