《Infected [killugon/killuaxgon]》Temporary

We have been in the car for about half an hour now. Leorio and Kurapika fell asleep a while ago and I was unfortunately wide awake, as was Gon.
I have no idea where he was taking us. The only thing he told us was that it was temporary, and not to get our hopes up, which means we will need to find another place to stay after this one. I glance over at Gon, who is humming a random song and staring at the road in front of him.
"Where are we going?" I asked with curiosity after a moment of silence.
He grinned and seemed to be thinking of an answer. "My childhood treehouse." He finally said, never taking his eyes off the road.
'A treehouse?' I glared at Gon through the corner of my eye. 'How does he expect us to live inside a treehouse made by a ten-year-old?' I groaned out loud and turned my entire body towards Gon.
"What the hell, Gon? how long do you think well be able to live inside a child-made tree fort?" I asked, raising my voice at him.
He laughed. Who does he think he is? "This is why I didn't tell you about this. I had a lot of free time on my hands as a child. That is all you need to know."
"And that's useful." I seethed out, turning towards the front again. If he kills us because of this, I'll never forgive him. And I will quite literally never speak to him again.
A while later, Gon pulled over to the side of the road and stopped the car, leaning back against the seat and sighing. There was a forest that surrounded the area and we were on a thin dirt road.
"Get some rest now if you can, well get going in the morning. We are just about there, we will need to walk the rest of the way through." He tells me.

I pointed out into the woods on my side of the car for confirmation and he nodded his head while smiling. "You're lucky I trust you with this," I say tiredly. I guess I was pretty tired.
To prevent walkers from seeing us, I covered the windows with blankets and kept watch for the remainder of the night.
During my childhood, Aunt Mito would always tell me I was very creative since I would spend most of my time outside and drawing. I remember my father always taking me out into a forest far from our house and playing with me out there. We eventually made it our hangout and added a few things to the area.
hmm, Aunt Mito. I wonder where she is now?
After the sun had risen just enough, I removed the sheets from the windshield and started up the car. It was loud, loud enough to have woken the others, though I could have cared less and continued pulling into the ditch aside from the road.
Both Kurapika and Killua awoke and groaned in exhaustion, While Leorio seemed to have slept throughout the entire thing. Since I did not know whether Leorio was a morning person or not, I asked Kurapika to wake him, to which he kindly agreed.
Kurapika pushed Leorios' body away from his since it was crushing him against the back door and sneakily slid his tongue into Leorios' ear. In response, he shot up and let out a screech that had fortunately been covered by Kurapika's hand.
Killua and I were snickering from the front seats, amused by their behavior.
Once Leorio had calmed down from trying to attack Kurapika since he had woken him in such a way, we left the car and they followed me the rest of the way.
Gon had now led us deep inside the forest, and we had killed every walker that had found its way towards us. 'I'm pretty sure he lost his way by now. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.' My thoughts were cut off by Gon's dramatic gasp.

"What? The place is almost exactly like how I had left it! Some parts could use a fixing but other than that, it's in great shape." He explained.
The view left me in awe. Multiple platform-like canopies were built into threes that surrounded an open area in a circled shape. Ziplines led from trees onto other trees with balconies, and two individual trees held a net that looked perfect for climbing. All of this was about three meters above the ground and was just out of reach to any walker in the area. Lanterns scattered the area and it would have been beautiful if it weren't for them having rusted over the years of them being there.
I stood taking in the sight as did Kurapika and Leorio.
"What the fuck, Tarzan?!" Leorio questioned jokingly. Gon laughed at his comment before continuing to search the ground for something specific. I walked up behind him and poked his cheek.
He smiled sweetly and faced me. "Hey Killua, I was just looking for the way up. I was sure I put it over here," He says while searching around a specific area. "You really thought of everything, huh?" I grinned at him as he rolled his eyes. "I think I should let you know, before you give me all the credit, that this was mostly all my father's doing."
'Oh, Gon's' father. He never really talks about him in great detail, huh?'
"Oh great, I found them!" He exclaims as he lifts a large amount of dirt, uncovering something that looked like tree climbing tools. You could attach them to your feet and hands so you could pierce the wood and pull yourself up.
Even Kurapika looked impressed once he saw them. "You knew how to use these things when you were younger? How'd you manage to get your hands on them? For someone so young, they are far too expensive." Kurapika asked.
"I stole them from my garage, and my father was looking for them weeks later. I'm pretty good at keeping secrets though, so he never found out." He winks. There were two pairs, so he took them both and handed a pair to Kurapika.
"Does everyone know how to put these things on?" Both I and Leorio shook our heads while Kurapika nodded.
"I'll help Leorio, you can help Killua. We will get it done quicker that way." Kurapika suggested.
"Killua, can you sit a moment?" Gon asks me before kneeling down in front of me, and I fall back onto the ground and lean against a nearby tree. Gon grinned and attached the things to my shoes in a quick motion.
"Here, kick the tree and kind of just start climbing. Pull yourself up with these as well." He handed me the hand tools and led me towards a certain tree with a trapdoor underneath.
Both Kurapika and Leorio had already finished and followed us towards the tree. Leorio was up first. He looked back at us with fear in his eyes before he turned back and began climbing. He slipped a few times on the way up, but he managed to make it.
It was now my turn to climb, and I was slightly anxious for no reason in particular. 'But what if I mess up and make a fool out of myself? This is stupid. Why wasn't this part of my training?' I pierced the tree with the tool and pulled myself up.
Sometime later, I had gotten to the top and pulled myself into the small room, quickly removing the torture weapons. I grunted and threw the tools down to Gon so he could get up as well. "Why does it feel as though I have purposely stubbled my toe multiple times?" I asked Leorio, who was grasping his feet in pain.
