《Infected [killugon/killuaxgon]》I love you.

~Gon's POV~
It's been about 5 days since Mito left, it's been going alright so far.
I have kept track of everything around the restaurant; cleaning, cooking, and serving, also being a cashier is my usual job, as well as cleaning and sometimes cooking.
It's actually been kind of fun running a Café, making the food is a process that might take a while, but it's worth it once you are finished.
Each customer was served, and then before I realized it, it was closing time. The doors are finally locked and the 'open' sign has been flipped to read 'closed' from the outside.
After all the lights are shut off in the café, I clean up the tables and floors, as well as the kitchen before heading back upstairs for the night. I get dressed in some sweatpants and a tank top and fall onto the couch comfortably.
I find the controller for the TV under a pillow and flip on a movie, eventually falling asleep to the background sound.
------
Quite late in the morning, I woke up at 11:26 am. Thank goodness it was the weekend. Otherwise, I would have been late for the opening.
I got up and took a shower, brushed my teeth, and styled my hair in order to make myself feel clean and presentable.
I got changed into boring clothes and ate a small bowl of cereal.
I decided that today I would visit town for a while. I walked out of the café after locking the door behind me and made my way to the park, which was halfway across town, but I'm sure it will be good for me to get some exercise.
As I started walking across a street, multiple police cars and ambulances rushed in front of me. I quickly bounced back in time for them to pass by. Even if I didn't move I'm sure they would try and drive through me if necessary.

Initially, I was puzzled about what might have caused all of this but set it aside since it wouldn't affect me, and I'd probably find out later. Having been shaken up by that close encounter, I turned around and headed home to watch the news. Surely they would know what happened?
I was contemplating all the possibilities as I walked through the door. Group murder, perhaps? Many police cars and ambulances were at the scene; there were many possibilities.
I unlocked the door once I reached the café, only to lock it back up when I entered. I immediately went upstairs to the living room and flipped on the television.
'Hello, dear citizens! A high-level alert has been sent to us. Multiple deaths have occurred in the past few hours, some report cannibals. They describe these creatures as beaten up, rotten flesh, unable to communicate with humans, with bloodshot eyes, and- hang on a second, we will get back to you soon.' Commercials started playing.
I was scared, anxious, and worried, but they haven't finished explaining yet so I'm not going to fright, yet.
Commercials played for a few more minutes until the news finally came back on. The woman looked like she has seen a ghost and she let out a series of shaky breaths.
'So, I had just got a call from the scientist's office and they have already run some tests on these 'monsters.' I'm going to share some information about them with you because I'm sure you'll need it.
They spread in a gruesome way, all that's needed is for their saliva to enter your bloodstream. How they do this...' she gulps. 'They will forcefully make an entrance. if you manage to escape one of these creatures after their saliva has entered your bloodstream, you will eventually turn into one of them. Though, we discovered that is not in fact their goal, for after they have bitten into someone they will continue to demolish the person.

Their brains have been infected by the virus, making them crave blood, or making them cannibal, similar to the drug a while back, but much more severe.
They will sprint at you, crawl, climb, any way possible. Find a weapon to defend yourself or hide until this passes. Good luck, to you all.' The tv turned back to commercials.
Okay... maybe I do need to panic. Or stay calm, and survive. It can't be that bad... is it? I look out the window to find no one outside. Maybe it is bad... I was just about to get up when I saw a woman being chased by a very boney creature.
She screamed as it chased her, blood flowing out of its mouth. Suddenly she tripped on her heel and sprained her ankle, she screamed in pain as the monster only got closer.
As the thing finally reached the person and started eating them alive, I covered my mouth with wide eyes and ran into the washroom only to vomit in the toilet. I started thinking about Mito, where was she? Is she okay? What is she doing right now?- my thinking was cut off by me throwing up once again.
After contemplating for a good ten minutes, I decided to call her. "I mean, doesn't hurt to try," I slowly walked to my room and grabbed my phone from the bedside table.
If she doesn't pick up I'm going to- "GON hello are you okay? Did you see the news?! it's packed with those things here. I don't get it!" She yelled into the phone.
"Mito! I'm okay, please get somewhere safe! Those things are not something to mess with. Please get somewhere safe." I said very worriedly.
"Gon thank god your okay. I'll get on the next plane and get to you as fast as I can." Mito sounded very upset, as if she was sobbing.
"Alright, stay safe... I love you."
"I love you."

Raak
James was in his 30's when his death came suddenly, not that he minded much, as life was seeming to drag on. His story, however, did not end with his death. As a point of fact, it had only just begun. This will be my first work, so please by all means comment with any errors I may have made. Suggestions for the story (which may or may not be used). This is a litrpg and a bit of a power fantasy, so be warned the protagonist will be pretty OP eventually.
