In the story, the character Ruan Xi was the replacement for the engagement that had fallen through because her transmigrated, legitimate older sister had abandoned her fiancé from a rich family. Later, Ruan Xi was pampered to the heavens by her husband, and became the winner in life as an imperially mandated first-rank wife to an official.

Ruan Xi, who had transmigrated over, watched as her transmigrated legitimate older sister prepared for that marriage happily. Similarly, her legitimate mother had also decided on another marriage agreement for her.

It's pretty nice~ But the means of the villainess are too disgusting.

So our MC transmigrates into the supporting female lead with a good life. In the novel, the female lead would often envy the OG for her good life, good marriage etc. The female lead in the novel is a transmigrator but she's a foodie and very low-key, she became the concubine of the Fourth Prince and laters, the Fourth Prince became the Emperor. She had three sons and one of them became the Crown Prince.

There is another transmigrator in the novel which is OG's sister, and in contrast with the FL, she is very high profile, plagiarizing poems, pretending to be a Divine doctor (has a medical System), "inventing" useful tools etc. In the end, she caught the eye of the old Emperor and was brought to the harem. When the Emperor died, there was an edict that she has to be buried with the old Emperor.

In MC's transmigration, this transmigrator sister is also reborn. Knowing that OG's previous life husband is a good man/doting to OG etc. She did not break off the engagement with him and suggested to her mother to engage MC to a famous bachelor in the last life which is suspected of being gay (Poor ML :P). To their surprise, ML agrees to the engagement and this caused the third sister to become envious of MC again. Anyways, its a battle of wits and trying to survive without being harmed by the transmigrator sister and her mother.

Since the sister is reborn, she knew that book FL would become the Empress Dowager in the future so she wanted to 'hug her thighs' early and the result was that she ruined FL's encounters with the Fourth Prince/book male lead as well as her reputation so the Prince had a bad impression of the FL when she became his concubine. (What a scourge!) The sister also tried not to be high profile so no plagiarizing, inventions or fake divine doctor but she is sooo.....obnoxious until she landed herself into prison, and she had to take out inventions to redeem herself and in the end, she caught the old Emperor's eyes again and was brought into the harem. Anyways, its mostly everyone being tossed by this transmigrator sister from time to time while MC is living a good life with ML.

Like I said, its pretty nice but the sister's means are too disgusting. I have no problem with 'contrast' situations in novels for example, MC is living a good life while the sister is miserable, but I don't want my MC being affected. For example, the sister just opens her mouth and slander MC that she's infertile or that the baby looks like ML so MC must've found a surrogate. I know its low-level means, but its really really disgusting for me. This sister is also like a cockroach who won't die, she'll mess up MC or the FL's life and then go away, and laters, she'll be back again. I really pity the FL here, and wondering about the brain circuits of the transmigrator sister. She wants to hug the FL's thighs but let the FL have a terrible reputation, sends pretty maids to the FL who might or might not have killed FL's children (FL miscarried 3 times). It's like she can't stand other people being happy, so malicious ah...

Overall, this is a pretty nice novel but the villainess might've overdone it for me, I wasn't able to focus on how sweet/loveydovey MC & ML are, I was just getting annoyed by her.
