Yang Haiyan transmigrated as the control group of the female protagonist in an ancient novel.
In the plot of the novel, the two were sold into the same family as maids:
The original was a high-ranking: maid, good-looking, popular, and literate.
The female protagonist was a rough maid, with an ordinary appearance and no culture.
The original, who thought herself as excellent, kept comparing herself with the female protagonist. As a result, the heroine followed the male lead and became a General's wife. While the original ruined her husband, Qin Fang's future. The two of them kept being compared in the family courtyard.
After transmigrating in the book:
Yang Haiyan looked at the tall man with slender limbs and thought to herself, this is to her taste.
Qin Fang looked at the woman in front of him who was so weak that she couldn't even carry a bucket of water. He thought to himself, his monthly allowance of 1 tael of silver and 30 catties of grain is not even enough for him. Now that he has a wife, he still needs to shares his food. His life is really hard.
Same author as Dressed as the Heroine's Besfriend in the 70s.
So our MC transmigrated to ancient times as the heroine's control group. The heroine and the original were both maids from a high ranking family who stood on the wrong camp during the fight for the throne. OG is the handmaiden of the family's young miss while the heroine is an ordinary maid. After the family was axed, the maids/slaves were freed and the new Emperor gifted them to the border soldiers to be their wives. In the novel, both OG and the heroine married a centurion(?)/Captain of a hundred soldiers. While the heroine was happy with her marriage, OG was dissatisfied. Heroine loves her husband, OG despises hers. Heroine is a supportive wife, OG drags down her husband etc. until OG's husband had no choice but to retire, they went back to the countryside and OG died there.

MC crossed over and she was...very satisfied. Our ML is very...manly/burly(?) which I guess is not in line with the common aesthetics. After meeting him, she likes ML's looks and decided to live a good life with him. Later, she likes ML's personality, his family, his ambition and she really fell inlove with him.
MC's golden finger is a trading platform which she also have in her previous life. Since she's afraid of suspicion, she mostly uses it on personal stuff, like exchanging gold for silver taels or buying butter so it can be her store's secret ingredient. While not exactly stealing the opportunity from the heroine, she makes use of the novel knowledge to know which people are trustworthy so you can say that she uses the heroine's connections before her. Same with the ML, it was mentioned in the novel that if it was not for OG dragging her husband down then he would have been promoted instead of the Book Male Lead. Since MC is not dragging down her husband, the promotion went to ML.
Anyways, ML and Book Male Lead are friends so no hard feelings. MC & heroine are also friends and heroine even earns money by selling MC's pastries. After ML was promoted, they moved to a different place, and MC sold her store to the heroine. In the new place, ML discovered two mines which can make gunpowder and made achievements in court. After ML and MC left the border, the Book Male Lead was promoted to replace him and you can say that he now followed his original life track.
Laters, ML is promoted again and they went to the Capital. When the fight for the throne was brewing, ML retired and went back to his hometown. Book Male Lead is there again to inherit his position XD And the book plot commences.

Hmm.. its feel pretty normal. MC transmigrates to ancient times and decided to live a good life with ML. She opens a business to earn money and support ML in his career. She is clever and a supportive wife to her husband. While she only liked his face/body first but she really fell inlove with him later. It's just that some of MC's actions are weird(?) sometimes. HAHAHA... I feel like she never really integrated to ancient times. She uses her identity as a high-ranking-maid-who-used-to-serve-the-young-miss as an excuse for her 'temperament' but this explanation doesn't hold water for those who really know. It's just...weird for me when she says, "this is what ancient wife should do", but then acted differently, like withholding sex with ML until she's 18 (even though they're husband/wife already). I feel like either she just lives her life differently (and be upright about it) or just really follow the ancient customs, instead of saying one thing then doing another. There's also the "I'm not stealing the heroine's encounters" . Like I said, its not exactly stealing, but she did make use of the heroine's future connections, who knows if it can be used by the heroine again in the future? I feel like she should just acknowledge it, instead of insisting that "it's not stealing! not stealing!" Feels a bit hypocritical to me :P And as always, everything comes TOO EASY. Hahaha.. Author-sama loves her protagonists. Anyways, its only these smol things but MC is quite likeable. She never thought to seize the 'important' plots from the male lead/heroine (like rescuing the lost Emperor's son) and even went out of her way to avoid it cos she doesn't like trouble.
On our ML, I like our ML. He's hardworking and he does have the ability to be promoted (It's NOT all because of MC's help). He's also aware that MC only liked him for his face/body at first and he's proud of it XD He also never felt inferior to his rich wife, he only felt that he needed to improve himself to be worthy of her. Dunno if he never really noticed his wife's weirdness (all the money and all kinds of 'new' fruits) but he never mentioned it.
Overall, read this for MC improving their quality of life hand in hand with ML improving his career~ No family drama btw. ML's family are good folks. Emperor isn't a jerk either.

Sarsaparilla's Scary Super Power. Completed
Sarsaparilla is an older teenage girl living on Mars. And, like many other young people around her, she has a super power. Or, rather, she is supposed to have a super power. Only she has never been able to activate it, she doesn’t even know what her super power is. This annoys her, tremendously. But she hides this behind a really sweet smile. Adalace is another teenage girl, also on Mars. She knows what her own super power is, and it is quite a good one. She is also really cute… so long has she keeps her feelings under control and doesn’t let out anything from her dark past. Teylon is a man, currently living on Earth. He likes to think of himself as still young, even if he is over fifty. He’s a bit smug about his successful career and is thinking of retiring… until a sadly unfortunate event leads him to the conclusion that he had better immigrate to Mars. Immediately. Apparently, meeting one’s own Angel of Death tends to cause people to make profound changes to their lives… Mars society had better brace itself, because once these three people, plus another three also not so quite stable individuals, collide with each other, the resulting explosion is not going to leave anyone on Mars unaffected. This is another Esmeralda, the Angel of Death, story. It follows on from my previous two such stories, but it is in no way dependent on the previous stories. They can be read in any order. It is fully written and proof read (using Word for Windows, no real editor touched this transcript) and comes to about 247,000 words (about 895 Royal Road pages). It is organized into 50 chapters and I will be publishing them roughly one per day. In my writing, there are multiple characters and multiple points of view. Each change in a point of view is introduced by a header, giving the viewpoint character’s name first, and possibly a title. Inside a Point of View section, dialog in italics represents the Point of View character’s thoughts, while dialog between quotes represent normal spoken dialog. This story is very much inspired by the anime A Certain Scientific Railgun. However I have only taken some elements from the anime, and changed everything I took to make my own story, and so it does not count as fanfiction. Yeah, I know, the book cover page isn’t very good. It’s the best I could do, by tracing over a stock image. The two ladies shown are supposed to be Adalace and Sarsaparilla. Ideally I would have liked there to be two images of this pair, one where they are smiling sweetly and looking cute, and one where they are looking really angry and dangerous. But that totally exceeds my graphics abilities. You will just have to imagine it.

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
