little bun MC, plant abilities, 70s, army
Sweet Doudou was once a fairy grass in the Immortal Garden. It was mistaken by the medicine boy as a sweet potato seedling and thrown into the mortal world. She became a milk doll under four years old in Xiaoye Village in the 1970s.
Qin Zhen, who was going up the mountain to chop wood, happened to see her.
"Brother I'm afraid, you take me home." The little girl has a small white face and a pair of soulful eyes. It's just that he can't even fill his own mouth these years, so how dare he add another one?
"Don't follow me, I have nothing for you to eat!" Qin Zhen said sternly.
"Something to eat? I have it!" Tian Dou Dou blinked and fumbled for a while in her pocket, and took out a dirty tuber: "Brother, I will ask you to eat sweet potatoes."
Later, Little Doudou realized that she was not a sweet potato seedling at all, but a plant that had been raised for three thousand years, Polygonum multiflorum and is about to form a fairy body.
And what she gave her little brother was not sweet potatoes, but Shouwu, which can cure all kinds of diseases.
....
The village people say that Eldest Tian's wife went mad because her mother-in-law threw her daughter away, holding a kitchen knife and chasing her for half the village!
But no one thought that this little girl who was later found was actually a little blessing bag.
Since she came back—
The Tian family's eldest son who had been missing for three years not only came back, but was also promoted to be the head of the group;
The little grandson, who was so sick, and hanging by a thread, not only saved his life, but also became a schoolmaster.

And the Qin family who took her in at the time were even more lucky;
The Father returned to Beijing to become a professor, the daughter became a doctor, and the son became an entrepreneur...
Everyone said that this baby was a fairy child sent by God.
Only Sweet Doudou knows what she is, what kind of fairy girl is she, she would be lucky if she was able to go back to the sky soon!
From the same author as I'm Free Fishing at the 60s. The MC's setting is kind of similar to Fu Bao, Adored Koi etc. but its a nope, nope, so many nopes for me XD
So our MC is a shouwu in the fairy garden. I guess its some kind of medicinal plant that looks like a potato. The medicine boy mistook MC for a weed and threw her away then she landed in the mortal world. She turns into a 4 y/o little girl who was thrown away by her grandma in the woods. She gets picked up by our (maybe) ML and took her home.
Our ML is an 11 y/o boy. This is the 70s and his father who's a former teacher(?) was sent to the countryside to be reformed. He lives in a bullpen and later, ML and his lil sis was kicked out of their grandma's house so they went to the village to live with their Dad. Anyways, MC sees that ML and lil sis are injured/hurt from frostbite and heals them, she sees a sickly boy and heals him too by feeding them her body parts (hair/fingers). Laters, her family found out she was thrown out by her grandma and looked for her. They found her in ML's home and takes her home.
MC's/the original's home is horrible. Her soldier Dad disappeared and they've been abused by their grandma. Finally, the mom couldn't take it anymore and separated the family but they got NOTHING, all the pensions from their Dad was taken by the evil grandma. Laters, the Dad came home injured and was also kicked out by the grandma and even got almost killed. MC is very innocent and reveals her specialness by curing the Dad and her sick brother. By this time, her parents has noticed that MC can find out illnesses, can cure, can prophesize etc.

Anyways, after MC Dad is fixed, he re-joins the army and they live in the barrack. MC is LOVED BY ALL. Her Dad's superior is clamoring to make her his goddaughter. Some other prophecies, curing other people, fighting with neighbors. Finally, MC talks to grandpa immortal that she just wants to be an ordinary little girl and don't want to be a Shouwu anymore. Didn't read the Extras that's why ML is being described as the (maybe) ML.
Hmm.. its cute cos the MC is a little bun, because if you put her actions on any other mature/normal heroine, its annoying =_= Frankly, she's spoiled and lawless, always getting her way by crying or threatening her sibs...combined with her parents blatant favoritism, the cuteness factor is reduced.
MC Mom and Dad aren't exactly the perfect parents. They're good. But how to say... they're careless. They know that MC is special but there is not enough precaution so we get their surprised reaction again and again. They're always at a loss on how to hide the truth about MC, sometimes its the sibs or ML who gives the suggestion on how to cover up for her. Our MC is a little bun but she has her own set of logic when doing things, she also never lies, so I feel like if the adults explained to her properly, it would be easy to stop her from her spontaneous actions. Also, they seem to think that MC is omnipotent. Want to know if someone is sick? Ask MC. Need to know someone's fate/death? Ask MC. Lost a little girl to a trafficker? ASK MC. Sometimes, they take MC seriously, sometimes not.
Also, they're too... Holy Mother. MC Dad, a special soldier who survived being stranded on mission site and being put on a reform farm for many years, almost dies from being HAMMERED to death by his own mother. In the end, everything is okay cos he survived (MC fed him her finger). Our MC Mom and his Brother gets sent to the countryside when they were young cos of their stepmother and suddenly, the stepmother is old so let's just forgive her. Meh =_= Author-sama justifies it as people being multi-faceted etc. She was bad to the MC Mom sibs but good to the grandchildren so let's just forget about it... Although author-sama specifically explained that she is NOT whitewashing the stepmom but I can't help but think so. I mean, even if its just in novels, I wanna see the bad guys get retribution. There's also the Captain's wife who slapped ML cos he was defending MC when MC just came (MC cured her sickly son), MC Mom's stepsister (daughter of the stepmom) who was thought to be infertile (MC cured the husband and wife). The justification is because the stepdaughter is really good to Grandpa/MC's mom's Father cos they have been together all these years (conveniently forgetting why your own son and daughter isn't around is because of the stepmom's actions). Not sure if the moral lesson here is to repay grievances with virtue, but its not my cup of tea.
So yeah, its a nope for me. But if you enjoy little bun MCs, you can give this a try. Maybe MC's cuteness will prevail over the plot.
