After dying in a zombie tide, Su Mei was awakened by the cries of children. As soon as she opened her eyes, she was handed a gold medal and was told to "restrain her grief."
From living in the apocalypse where the world was filled with sand, she suddenly saw green mountains, clear and flowing streams, fish, shrimps, black goats, duck eggs sent by the neighboring island reclamation team from time to time. She felt that it was worth it to abide with the last wish left by the original Host: to help her raise two children!
Zhao Ke returned from the border with the military medal of his fallen comrades, and received a divorce telegram from his wife. Going home with doubts, the gentle and kindhearted wife of the past suddenly changed. After going through the divorce procedures, he carried the eldest son who was crippled with his right leg and the second son who had just turned one year old and returned to the army. Zhao Ke felt that he should find a nanny first.
Su Mei had no formal job and was anxious since she is about to be sent back to her hometown. The Chief Secretary took a fancy to Su Mei's ability to control fire, and was just looking for someone to incubate eggs to hatch ducks and chickens
Su Mei was introduced to Zhao Ke the next day.
The two were not very different in age, and each has two children. Zhao Ke thought that if he hired as a babysitter, everyone would gossip about them after a long time. So, it would be better to marry directly.
Su Mei thought to herself: This person is very work-oriented, busy in training, and does not return home for a long time. The child is left for her to raise casually, and the salary and tickets are handed in on time every month. He is really a perfect husband.

It is awesome~ And MC & ML's remarriage is not because ML wanted MC to be a nanny like the synopsis said. Don't worry.
So our MC is from a zombie apocalypse world, she died and then met with another soul(?) in the afterlife. The soul asked if she wants to live for her but in exchange, MC must take care of her children. MC agrees and came to the 50s. She became the widow of a martyr, the original has a son and also takes care of an orphaned nephew. So MC has two little buns with her.
Then our ML~ ML's wife is reborn. She knew that a huge movement would happen and ML's family would be persecuted(?) and his career would be affected and they would be sent to the border. Anyways, lots of hardship etc. and she didn't want to experience that again in this life so she wanted to divorce ML. She also chose a man whom she knew would have a good career and cheated on her marriage. ML is resolute and divorced her right away. He took his two sons with him back to the military compound.
A lot of things happen, it mostly has to do with the family of the original's (dead) husband, since they are a family of martyrs. The mother, elder brother and now, the youngest son (the husband) all died for the country. The father remarried and this stepmother is now making trouble with them. Anyways, it was resolved eventually but their elders/family friends are determined to keep MC's family in the military compound. MC is good with kids and ML's 2 sons like her, so everyone is playing a matchmaker for the two of them XD Hospital Deans, Commanders etc. XD XD XD
They get together and all 4 kiddos get along. MC is not partial to anyone and treats all of them equally. Anyways, happy family life ^^ MC's (from-zombie-apocalypse) identity get revealed early to ML and the original's parents (the original's soul visited them in their dreams) and ML can finally treat MC affectionately now. (He was feeling guilty cos MC's husband just died).

MC tells him about the future: the establishment of commune, and then the persecution(?) of intellectuals (the black categories), famine, closing down of Universities/colleges, educated youths getting sent to the countryside etc. so ML took early measures for their family's protection later since ML Mom and his sister-in-law are rich(?) and then MC's in-laws (ex-husbands family) were all teachers or students who studied abroad and would be affected later. MC also teaches ML some apocalypse-honed survival skills and he also learned about MC's fire abilities plus her knowledge on weapons-making.
ML is already excellent, added with MC's skills, he is also quite OP now. He established a special team and laters, the country also formed the Boy Scouts to apply the special training to children/train them since childhood. The three older sons are all good due to MC's and ML's teaching so they all had to sign up, and they all passed the assessment. The eldest and 2nd son went to Military Colleges and the 3rd child became a special soldier (does secret missions etc.). Anyways, MC urged the two elder sons to skip grades cos she knows that the the colleges will be closed later. Then she taught the 3rd son her skills to increase his survivability.
The movement happened, ML made arrangements for their friends/relatives so they won't be too affected. Their youngest son is...not as clever as his 3 older bros. He's also smart but not as cautious. He risked taking cultural relics (they were being destroyed) again and again. And if he gets caught, their whole family would be affected. ML throws him to the Boy Scouts and MC trained him a little. MC also gave birth to a daughter.
Things happen, some conflicts/love problem of the 2nd son. MC also gives him hellish training. In this way, the 2nd (original's nephew) & 3rd son (original's son) inherited MC's skills. After performing a difficult mission, the 3rd son succeeded but received heavy injuries, he retired from the special soldiers just in time for the resume of the college examination. He wants to go into politics to protect his mother (since MC has supernatural powers plus the identity of weapons researcher). They moved to the Capital along with their friends/relatives who are 'reformed' now. Extras is life in the Capital and the married life of the four brothers and their sister.
I really like this. I've been on a 60s-90s phase for quite awhile now (lololol) and this takes place BEFORE THAT... Before the commune, the whole educated youth thing, the intellectuals being prosecuted/sent for labor reform and all that. So its all new and interesting for me~ Also, unlike other military wives MC, our MC here is more involved with ML's career since she is a weapons maker plus all her sons/daughter went to the army to work (soldiers, intructors, finance etc.). The POV of the other sons are also shown sometimes, so missions about spies would also be mentioned. I guess, its more...frontline(?) than other 60s-90s novels I've read.
I guess what I didn't like was...there were some characters (the kiddos friends/cousins etc) who were all good when they were young and have been helped by MC but their personalities changed later when they grew up and was even rude to MC's family. Sigh. There are only few of this white-eyed wolves characters though (MC's goddaughter and then the son of ML's 2nd bro etc.) so they were quite memorable to me. Well, it makes it more...realistic though, instead of everyone being a good person~~
My favorite part is when MC would give her sons hellish training and when she revealed her weapons researcher status and they were all very surprised like, "What happened to our very ordinary housewife mother?!!!" (Lololol). Also at the start when several old men were matchmaking MC & ML together XD
Read this for pre-60s-90s novel~

Keepers of the Neeft
The Indigo Empire has conquered half the world’s nations, their people, and their gods. According to its citizens, old and new, the rest of the world will follow. In the capital of the Throne-home, the Imperial Academy produces the next generation of great leaders to drive that expansion. Cadryn Bence knows he will be one such leader, he’s overcome his common birth, mixed heritage, and every other obstacle to be the top of his class. He dreams of glory on the southern front against the Gravanik States. He will not be finding it. Instead, if the glory he expects. Far to the north, lies the unassumingly named North-Eastern Extreme Frontier Tower, a backwater post if ever there were one. Through the machinations of the Emperor’s state religion, and a cult within it, Cadryn will find himself on his way to this first assignment. On the frontier, Cadryn will discover that neither his campions, nor the Neeft itself, are what he expects. Follow Cadryn on his journey to discover many truths: about himself, about the Empire, and about the very world he call home. ****** Keepers of the Neeft is a (bit dark) fantasy story revolving around Cadryn and his journey of discovery. There’s a fairly wide cast of supporting characters (his fellow Keepers) all with their own reasons and motivations behind how they came to be at the Neeft. Current release plan is to have part 2 completed, then fully edit up till the end of part 2. I am in the process of editing the earlier content as I complete the updates/re-writes. Apologies for any rough content in the meantime. My primary objective with Keepers of the Neeft is to work on developing content flow and establishing a community of people who enjoy my writing style. I write SF/F and horror as my primary genres, Keepers is actually my 3rd novel length work, but my current project. Updates of new Content will currently be in the form of one larger post on Tuesdays.

The Orb Weaver Chronicles
"The Orb Weaver Chronicles contains several major and unique events that may or may not unknowingly intertwines with one another. The author of these chronicles is unknown, although some have hinted at the symbolism behind its name..." - Year unknown, location unknown 9 February 2022 Update: Welcome to the companion short story compilation of my novel trilogy The Shadow Paradigm. This compilation features prequels, sidequels and sequels to the novel's major plotline, as well as featuring a wide range of characters, new and recurring. Prior knowledge of the novel is not necessary as the Orb Weaver Chronicles' short stories are standalone. Once called The Arkesyyan Chronicles, I've deleted quite a few of its old stories. Due to the new avenue and revision, oriented toward more mystery and film-noir ambience, that I took my stories into, I've removed all aliens and overly sci-fi aspects of the whole TSP lineup, so I've updated the Orb Weaver Chronicles accordingly. I hope you enjoy them, and in time, a revised version will also be updated.

Economicalopoly
Humanity had gotten this far. How far, might you be wondering? Quite far indeed. The world had effectively become an ecumenopolis, almost; not in real life at least, in Economicalopoly of course! More on that later, in our story the main character is Charlie. Charlie was an exceptionally talented young man, the key word being 'was'. He was an incredibly unmotivated individual who generally steered clear from other 'Homo sapiens' as he put it. This was all because of an accident he had early on in life, when he was but 15 years old.
