70s, military wife, doting ML, slice of life
Single dog Zhou Jing transmigrated into a book and became the supporting female lead who is crazy for the male protagonist of a seventies novel. She kept making trouble and refused the man from the military who were arranged by her parents.
Mother Zhou: "If you really don't want to, mom won't force you..."
Zhou Jing: "Mom, I will marry."
A woman who didn't marry was like a sinner in the 1970s. It would be better to be engaged to a man who stayed in the barracks until the last chapter in 1980s.
Just when Zhou Jing thought she was safe and secure, Comrade Cheng Yuan asked for leave to go home because of his engagement.
Very nice slice of life~
So our MC transmigrates into a novel as a small female love rival. The original also likes the male lead. Because the male lead and heroine are already together, MC's parents are worried about MC's reputation for chasing the (already-in-a-relationship) male lead so they hurriedly married her off to our ML. Our ML meets with MC, gets their marriage certificate then takes MC home to the barracks.
ML is somewhat gentlemanly(?) at first. He's very considerate to MC and they get along like 'ordinary comrades'. Anyway, MC finds out his good points as they get along and she decided to live her life with him. ML became famous as a doting husband, and him and MC became known as loving couples. MC also became famous in the military compound for her good craftmanship and knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine. She helped several wives adjust their bodies/get pregnant. Laters, him and ML also get little buns (1 boy and 1 girl).
Time flies, the college entrance examination is resumed but MC chose to stay with ML. ML gets promoted fast and they have to go to the border. MC still follows him along with the little buns and she also served there as a military doctor. After the war is over, ML gets promoted again and they go back to the military compound where they lived before. The economy has opened up so MC partners with the other military wives to get rich. A fellow transmigrator shows up, gets resolve fast and MC tells ML about her 'transmigrator' identity. More slice of life, then ML gets assigned to the provincial capital. Some family conflicts cos the little buns feel neglected. MC gives up her career as a 'businesswoman' and just becomes just a shareholder instead. Ending is MC's 40th birthday.

This is nice, although the family has little buns, its really focused more on MC & ML couple. When ML is at work, MC is never idle, either she's helping the other military wives or doing something for her own family. And when he's there, its the couple's flirt time XD. MC's female antagonist identity doesn't really hinder her much cos they're far away from the plot. At most, they sometimes meets the heroine and male lead who is not doing so well. Like I said, there are no major dramas or conflicts. I guess, the biggest one was when the MC's daughter got angry with MC cos MC was so busy with her career (she says she feels like they're orphans). And its understandable, ML is not there for the whole day and now, MC is also not there plus she already has 2 strikes with the little girl (she forgot her birthday and a school presentation). It's just too bad that MC had to give it up and couldn't find a work-life balance that works for her cos she always told those military wives that women should have their own careers. Plus the way that little girl said it was just plain rude/disrespectful. (Gaah. Brat). Anyways, it was resolved by a heartwarming family meeting, and MC chose to just invest in real estate.
Extras is MC & ML sending their daughter to college and then MC's daughter side CP with the grandson of ML's previous leader. Errr.. dunno if its because of that one conflict. But yeah, I kinda don't like the daughter. Thru some relationship by his Dad, she became a University teacher but didn't want to teach (why be a teacher then?); there's an important meeting the next day, but she still got up late (she forgot to press the alarm), running over there and spilling soymilk on the guest (which happens to be her side CP). It's too much like an idol drama =_=

Nearest reco is Stepmother [Transmigration], MC also lived in the military compound in the 70s-80s, and has a doting ML~ Stepmother is more funny though XD

The Last 100

We were the last 100 left. Night was falling on the human race, it was a dark night, and it was cold. But go quietly we would not. We would make the world burn with an inferno of our defiance. Rage, rage against that goodnight, and I Jack Casser, have rage a plenty. This is my story, the story of the last 100.Author Note: This story is a LitRPG apocalypse, woah fucking original idea I know but hear me out. If you can look past preconceived ideas driven by a stigma of overdone tropes and done to death plots of achieving world domination and self-righteous characters and give the story a chance I hope it can surprise you.

All the while, there are whispers of a greater and more ancient power coming to life. A power Brenn’s wife knows more about than she wants to let on. It’s a good thing Brenn is used to fighting. CW: Contains mildly graphic scenes of violence/death, topics of unwanted pregnancy/abortion, scientific experimentation on sapient beings, depression/suicide, grief, and trauma. The tone of this fiction is often dark and distinctly dystopian in lighter shades of Margaret Atwood, though where there is darkness there is always hope and light. On Hiatus Until September When the School Year Begins and Mom This story takes a considerable amount of time and mental energy to complete. I thought I had enough backlog and time to post it as a serial while COVID kept my child home from school, but it turns out while I can quickly write other pieces, I cannot produce the quality I need with this one at an acceptable rate. We'll resume in September when my days are much freer. Thank you for your patience and stay tuned for a different storytelling romp more suited for a serial platform in the meantime.
