New fave! I think this might help me get over my 60s-90s phase now. I'm going back to BL for my next read~ This is from the same author as Return to 1985. But more funny, since MC & ML has so many sons XD

So our MC lived a chic life as a famous designer. After dying, she was reborn as a college student in the 60s. She was in her 20s and was being urged to marry, but MC didn't want to give birth to children. ML happen to be a soldier looking for a stepmother for his three sons so MC agreed to marry him. ML is part of the navy so they live in an island and MC raises her sons there~ ML noticed MC's...peculiarity early on, at first he thought MC was a spy but since she was harmless, he let her. Later, MC confessed her identity/transmigration to ML. Anyway, their family is always happy, there are some troubles with neighbors sometimes, some troubles caused by the little buns but MC & ML discipline them properly.

Outside the military island, the world is chaotic and families who have something to do with 'Five Black Categories' are being rectified. And two grandsons of an old general(?) was abandoned by their mother (their father died). ML's commander know about MC & ML and they can see that MC really raises ML's son as her own sons (not like an evil stepmother) so they asked ML to adopt the two as well. So MC & ML has five sons now. The three kids at home are young, they see that the two new 'brothers' are pitiful cos their own mother didn't want them so they quickly accepted them in their family. At first they were reserved, but laters, they also became as lively as ML's three sons. More fun at home. Lololol.

Laaaattters, ML's comrade died and then his wife who was also MC's friend also died. While dying, she entrusted her two sons to MC, and MC agreed. So they adopted two more sons. MC & ML have seven sons now XD They are MC and ML's neighbors so the two kids are their son's playmate and was quickly accepted into the family. MC is a teacher in the island, she teach them well at home since she knows that the college examination will be resumed sooner or later. After the exam resumed, the four kids (on the right age) all got admitted into their respective universities. They chose their own courses (military, research, medicine etc) They go back to the island once in awhile during vacation. Laters, the other three also became university students. After graduation, one of them chose to go back to the island to be a teacher, one became a doctor and went to the frontlines, those who went to the military schools served in the military, one of them became a designer like MC ^_^ MC helped him set up a garment factory and he took over after graduation (He became the wealthiest son XD). Hmm... next are the sons finding wives for themselves and having kids which are all sons XD ML is looking forward to a granddaughter but got six grandsons in a row. Finally, the last one to get married finally gave him a granddaughter XD Ending is... MC & ML's 30th wedding anniversary, their family took a family portrait.

Extras is ML retiring and moving to the capital with MC and raising their grandsons and granddaughter. MC & ML teaches them to study well and takes them out to travel as a reward~ All grandchildren are obedient to them, making the grandparents on the other side jealous XD Ending is MC & ML's 40th wedding anniversary~

This is really good, I'm very satisfied. All 7 sons are lively but have different personalities. They really treat each other as brothers/family. Even if they were all in their 30s, they are still afraid of ML's belt XD XD XD It's always fun when they get together, and when they encounter difficulties, they help each other. MC is a good mother and a good person. It's not like she is a 'saint' but how to say it, she's very...inspiring. Like telling the educated youth in their village not to give up their studies, or telling a stranger on a train that their village is a good place, if the elders on their family get sent to the countryside for reform, they can choose their village to go to. Years later, the people she have helped are grateful to her. Like in Return to 1985, MC & ML interactions are more funny than sweet. During verbal arguments, ML would sometimes be rendered speechless and MC always gets the last word XD What's funny is that the sons would often side with MC too XD XD XD It's not to say that ML has no prestige, the sons fear him as their Father, but also treats him like a friend XD Again, few lovey dovey moments between MC & ML cos they have a lot of lightbulbs at their home~

Overall, this is a very nice slice of life. Adding this to , and Rebirth of a Little Cannonfodder in the 70s as my faves~ It's another different style but MC is also a winner in life~
