From the author of Back to the Sixties: Farm, Get Wealthy & Raise the Cubs, I really liked that one so decided to check out author-sama's other works.

Hmm.. its also good, (but 60s is still better for me :P)/ The MC is a different type from the 60s MC. For one, she is from ancient times, her temper is more mellow... she has high EQ and is more willing to mediate relations and endure, unlike the 60s MC who is more...prideful and doesn't care much about others and just lives her own life. If 60s MC has a magical space as a golden finger (which is perfect for illegally selling stuff), our MC here has a magical spring which can promote growth of crops, health etc. which is just perfect to assist our ML in his farming business. In 60s, it was the MC who were mostly doing things, starting business etc. Here, it was the ML who was busy while MC is a stay at home wife.

So our MC is a sickly young miss from ancient times. After dying there due to her own carelessness, she was reborn as the wife of ML. ML is a soldier who only goes home a few times a year (like 60s ML), our antique MC of course, recognizes his identity as her husband right away and fulfills her obligations as his wife (another difference from 60s MC). Laters, ML also got injured and retired to live with MC in their hometown.

MC raises ML's injury through the use of her spiritual spring, she also makes money through her embroidery, this would be used as ML's Capital for his business. Due to some circumstances, they decided to setup a fruit orchard in a barren mountain. Of course, with the help of MC's spiritual spring, the soil conditions in the mountain improved and their orchard became successful. After that, it was mostly ML opening businesses, buying properties everywhere. ML's focus is more on farming, fruit orchards, livestock, fishing reservoir etc. The poor-to-rich and Business Management tags are all due to ML. They stayed and developed their hometown #spoiler turning it into a tourist destination.

Our MC is also blessed with 3 sons (same as 60s MC)...and laters, also has a late birth, which is also a son. All of them were precocious naughty little ghosts except for the eldest son XD There are also a lot of family relationships to be managed. ML has 3 brothers and 1 younger sister. There is the relationship with her sister-in-laws which MC has to navigate. MC & ML also help where they can, their fellow villagers, neighbors, distant relatives, nieces/nephews etc. MC & ML are...too generous, especially to the children. Although they don't care, but its also a fact that their relatives are taking advantage of their kindness, and these nephews/nieces are half-raised by them.

There is also a reborn person here which is the ML's younger sister. She is basically a vicious supporting female lead. As if for comparison, she also has a lot of screen time, and her life would be shown from time to time. As a reborn person, she has a lot of advantages with her future knowledge but with her wicked personality and distorted values, she also encounters a lot of problems. She would be successful cos of future knowledge, fall down because of her personality, get up again and be successful, fall down, rinse and repeat. By the end of the main story, she still hasn't been punished (author-sama promised a miserable end) and it was only in Extras that her BE was shown. There is also a reborn person in Back to the Sixties, but she wasn't as...disgusting(?) as the reborn younger sister here, author-sama seems to be addicted and caused her to harm so many good families (she was divorced 3 times). I mean, its okay if the harmed people deserves it/is also a bad person, but our author-sama really left a lot of innocent casualties here~ It kinda leaves a bad aftertaste :3

Other Extras is MC & ML sons, nephews, nieces later careers and married life

I really like the warm family atmosphere of Back to the Sixties, so I was kind of hoping to see that here, and there is, but mostly on MC's nuclear family. For her extended family (ML sibs and MC sibs), not so much. MC is mostly a supportive wife (and a cheat to make their farm/orchard bountiful) and ML is the more active one in Business Management. Still very interesting, cos its not stocks or the usual clothing business like in other Chinese Economic Reform novels XD

Tried to read Su Yu's Promotion Record in the '60s, at least the first 20 chaps. Dropped it though cos the MC was too...manipulative for me. Thanks for the reco though~
