But her time in screen ended there, after only an hour.
The hero fall in love with another girl, the Main Heroine, on his journey and forgets her promise ... making many players feel sorry for her.

If I stay in this village like in the original story, my future is only the one of a losing heroine!
In order to prevent this from happening, I'll leaves the village, armed with the talent for concoction of magical potions that I've been working on.
And then, I aim to become an alchemist Master in the Royal City.
I'm not sure what was the end for the childhood friend of the Brave Hero in the original story but ...
I'll grab a happy future on my own!

Read the manga This Time I'll Definitely Be Happy. So decided to check this out cos it might be the same~~
Hmm... it is a bit similar, MC discovers she reincarnated in an RPG game after the "Hero-awakens-his-powers-to-save-childhood-friend" event happened. She is the childhood friend. In the game, the Hero left their village to defeat the Demon King and the childhood friend was left 'waiting for him' and in the end, the Hero got together with the Heroine which is one of the member of his party. Of course, our MC doesn't want to end up as a losing heroine like in the game so she tried to distance herself from the Hero, but Hero is a kind child, MC really feels bad to suddenly estrange him, so she decided to keep the 'childhood friend' setting, but that's all, she's not inlove with the Hero so she won't feel 'abandoned' when he gets together later with the Heroine. Our MC also gets a career, which is an alchemist so she can leave their village, this is also to stop people from pairing him up with the Hero.

Anyways, many things happen while she's apprenticing at the Capital. She meets some of the members of the Hero's party ahead of time as well as some backstory characters. The plot has deviated from the RPG game and they're trying to re-seal the Devil King while he's still partially awake. The Hero and Heroine has met but nothing special has happen between them so far (as of C102)
It's interesting enough to bingeread. MC isn't silly, she sets clear goals for herself and works hard to achieve it. It's strange that MC has super memory when it comes to alchemy so she would sometimes wonder if she has really 'escaped her fate' and not just following the game settings. The relationship between Hero and MC is really good, but its all under the 'childhood friends' label. At the very least, our Hero here won't surely turn into the Hero who 'abandoned' the childhood friend after getting together with the Heroine~~ Of course, I'm cheering for Hero and MC to get together!! There are some guys here and there, but the closest love rival for the Hero is a royal alchemist friend of MC. Will check this out from time to time for updates to see the next development~~

I've tried reading many web novels, but there's a fundamental problem with them – the eastern ones are annoyingly repetitive, superficial and morally destitute, while western ones are often dark, convoluted and profane. There's only so much one can do to filter out the bad and try to fill in the gaps with their own imagination. It's one thing to eat tasty fast food, but if it's moldy and filled with toxins, then it's not only poisonous, but also disgusting. The appreciation of beauty and higher values is disappearing at an alarming rate. Otherwise it's pointless – I'm not going to make fodder for the masses, and I'm most certainly not going to throw pearls before swine. I'll simply stop writing altogether.
