So our MC just got her first class chef certificate when she suddenly transmigrated into a novel. She suddenly became a 33 years old divorcee with a 13 year old son and a 6 year old daughter. Our MC goes with the flow until she sees a news coverage on TV about the Film Emperor's wedding, the original's ex-husband and the children's father. Then she remembers why their names sounds familiar... Her son is the villain in the novel and her daughter is the cannonfodder who fell inlove with the male lead!!! MC becomes a good mother and encourage her son to make friends. She feeds them good food and dotes on them. Little villain is a siscon and also secretly dotes on his mom. Little sis is a cute foodie angel. This was mostly about their family's daily life, with little villain worrying about his mom and sister~~ I kinda even felt that it was okay even of there was no ML in the story XD XD

MC and ML meets by accident. MC thought ML was her blinddate and tries to scare him off by saying she already has kids. ML mischievously says that he also has a son. Laters, they meet again cos ML is MC's dad's friend. ML is a foodie and got hooked on MC's cooking. He shamelessly visits their house multiple times to mooch off dinner. Little villain is sooo maaad!! He feels like ML is an annoying fly buzzing around his mom. And little sis is a traitor cos she gets along well with ML (Foodies unite!) MC and ML are both dense, they're slow to realize their feelings. ML realizes it first but he's really clumsy at expressing his feelings. ML also introduces his nephew to MC's family. MC recognizes him as the Male Lead in the novel. Little villain and little male lead are always at odds, but its just childish fights. XD Next, MC & ML gets photographed together and they both go with the flow until they eventually get together. The villain, cannonfodder and the male lead becomes brothers and sisters~~ Little male lead becomes a siscon as well XD

About the novel's female lead, she is the sister of MC's ex-husband's new wife. Little female lead is shown from time to time, but she always seem to be admiring little villain~~ There are some brief episodes with ex-husband, mainly ex-husband sometimes feel a yearning for a warm family life~~ But MC no longer loves him and little villain hates him. He's just a little bit of scum. He's mostly there to show the contrast with how happy MC's family life is and how bleak his family life was.

This is slooow romance and there aren't many romantic moments between MC & ML. So yeah, more slice of life than romance. I really like it though. One of my fave BG reads this year~~ 💛
