After An Ting got hit by her studio's light fixture, she suddenly found herself transmigrated into a novel she read the night before. She had become the miserable woman with the same name in the book.

Sitting in front of her was her rich second generation ex-boyfriend. He fell inlove with the female lead and wants to break up with An Ting. He takes out three things and put it on the table: a key to an apartment in the city's third ring, a car key and a cheque for five million.

Saw this on the website rec list while MTL-ing danmei. Lol. I thought it was pretty funny and decided to check it out.

So our MC is a photographer, she's pretty famous but still struggling to earn money to pay for her mortgage, bills etc. While working with a customer, the light fixture suddenly fell on her and she died on the spot then she transmigrated into a book. Like in the synopsis, the original's ex-boyfriend fell inlove with the female lead and breaking up with her.

MC also listened to the System in her mind, the novel she transmigrated to is a reverse harem. The Female Lead has a pirated Photoshop as a golden finger. It allows her to add a filter to herself and make herself look like the guy's ideal type of girl. In order to upgrade, the FL has to gather different men's affection. The more excellent the man is, the more energy he can give. MC's System is the Licensed(?) Photoshop. Lol. Its mission is to stop the pirated version and erase or replace the filter of the female lead. MC can upgrade it by paying money!!! Lololol. It takes five million for the first upgrade only. MC is bleeding cos the thing she wants the most is money!!! And anyway, the FL has nothing to do with her. She can just avoid her. Then she witnessed the FL activate her filter/love buff and her ex-bf suddenly behaved like a braindead person even wanting to take back her 5 million to give to FL. MC walks away and seriously considers the System's words.

FL and MC is now in the same school and the same music department. In the future, they are likely to be in the same circle so FL will always get in the way of her interest. FL's System also has the power to steal skills and has already stolen the original's songwriting talent. What if she upgrades and steal something from her again? So she decides to 'raise' the System. In her previous world, Photoshop helped 'raise' her so in this world she will raise Photoshop. Lol.

Next we see, FL's various antics and how MC always interferes with her filter. Like putting a doghead on her. Or putting the surface of the moon. Lololol. But MC is still worried cos the way she can interfere with FL is just through small things like this. She just focuses on reducing FL's attack on the excellent men mentioned on the novel. FL has no choice but to seduce 100 ordinary guys instead. Luckily, FL is stupid and she also made a lot of enemies with other girls cos she's indiscriminately seducing guys so she was suspended from school. Ex-boyfriend wakes up from the brainless state and wants to pursue MC again, but MC refuses him cos she's not the original and only sees him as a younger brother.

Now that she can't monitor FL, she has to earn money even more to upgrade her System. She becomes the assistant of one of the MLs, the director ML. (novel's MLs are rich second generation ex-bf, a music teacher in their school, this director and a Song King). Director ML starts to like her cos she can understand his 30 years old woes and they share the same passion in photography. He's our ML in this book 🧡, he unconsciously gives MC special treatment but they BOTH think that it's because he just appreciates her. They're both dense. Lol. Laters, MC becomes a singer in ML's studio.

MC and FL appears in the same talent show. FL doesn't even bother to cover up her disgusting behaviour cos she can just hypnotize the men in the audience to vote for her. She also tries to seduce the Song King ML here by putting a will-definitely-be-famous filter cos she wants to appeal that she can stand side by side with him. (Song King has no ideal type so filter is not automatic this time) But Song King is a psycho and narcissist and he doesn't want anyone to steal his limelight so he votes for MC instead. Lol. Anyway, this arc(?) is just FL acting stupid in the show and getting hated by the netizens. Laters, our MC was finally able to earn money and upgrade her System to let it send a virus to FL's System. Pirated Version panics and steals FL's vitality to survive (50 years of her life) then escapes, all of FL's filters vanished and her agent suddenly wakes up from brainless state and asked FL what she did to him before to make him so crazy for her. FL rans out, gets hit by a car and dies.

Song King realizes that director ML has a thing for MC so he starts to entangle with her to mess with him. Laters, he fell for real but MC is familiar with his personality so she still thinks that Song King is just fooling around. Director ML finally confess to MC and gived her time to consider. MC is confused cos with ex-bf she can refuse decidedly but not with Boss. She's not sure if it's love or if she's just grateful to ML's care for her. Laters, another girl appeared with the Pirated version and tries to seduce ML. MC panics and finally realizes that she likes Boss. The filter has no effect on ML and he still likes MC. MC's System finally found the pirated version again and permanently destroyed him this time. MC & ML get together. MC becomes successful in her career. The End.

Extras is MC & ML finally annoucing their relationship to the public a few years later.

I like that our MC was clever, she found other ways to fight FL while she still hasn't earned money to upgrade. She also negotiated with her System to lower the upgrade price by soft and hard approach. I like the exposure of the MLs in the original novel and their growth(?) after they escaped from FL's filter especially the rich second generation ex-bf, he started to work hard to get back MC :/ There are no annoying characters (except FL and her pirated System), even the other FL love rival's/supporting female leads like MC where shown and they were different from the book, especially the one who got the escaped pirated System (second Host), at least she still has her pride and bottomline and was very decisive to unbind with it when she didn't get ML's love. I thought it would just be funny with the Photoshop system and all XD but it was pretty good. Hope someone would pick this up~~ ^_^
