She was admiring the school from an outsiders perspective until she noticed a blonde boy drop his bag. She sprang up and walked over.
"Do you need any help?" Haruhi asked. She didn't wait for an answer, she just bent down and picked up some of the scattered papers before smiling and handing them back.
He blushed a little when he saw her face.
"Thank you, my dear," He said, holding out a hand. She took it and stood up again. "Who might you be?"
"I'm Haruhi Fujioka," She replied, letting go of his hand.
The boy smiled, showing off perfect white teeth.
"Nice to meet you," He said in his melodious voice, "my name is Tamaki Suoh."
********
Something about the name "Suoh" sounded familiar to Haruhi. But she chose to ignore the warning and be nice to him.
"Yes, it's nice to meet you," She agreed.
Tamaki was very good looking, but in a different way than the twins were. His skin was a very light cream color, and was a perfect tone for the gold mop of hair on top of his head. His eyes were dark blue and resembled a night sky. The Ouran uniform looked good on him, and fit perfectly around his slim torso.
He smiled again.
"So what year are you in, Fujioka? Or can I call you Haruhi?" He asked, leaning down so he could look her in the eyes.
She shrugged a little and nodded.
"Sure, you can call me by my first name. I am a first year."
Tamaki was suddenly egnited with excitement. He started walking around and flinging his arms everywhere to make his lecture more entertaining.
"A first year?! That's wonderful! I could be your senpai! Oh, Haruhi, this is just like in the movies where the older man and the girl bond together and lean on each other for support against the evil forces of mankind--"

"Um, I'm sorry, but I lost you." Haruhi sweatdropped and backed away a little. Tamaki laughed and hoisted his bag onto his shoulder.
"Don't worry, I'm not always like this. I'll try to see you sometime inbetween classes, alright? We could be freinds. Oh, by the way, I'm a year ahead of you." He began to walk away, but then he whipped around again and grabbed a pen and a peice of paper from his bag. He wrote something on it and stuffed it in her hand. "I'll see you," He waved and then walked away to his first class.
Haruhi watched him go. He was so confident.
She unfolded the tiny peice of paper in her hand and read his scribbled handwriting.
Stay away from Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin. I don't know if you know who they are, but for your own good, DO NOT GET INVOLVED.

********
The first half of Haruhi's day went by like a breeze. The teachers were wonderful, and the homework wasn't horrible. The one problem was that everyone avoided her. It seemed that way, until she realized that it wasn't her, but the twins. She ended up sitting next to them in every class, and the result was that she didn't make any new freinds. It didn't make any sense to her, though. Why would everyone avoid them like that? They didn't smell bad, they were good looking, and they didn't bother people who weren't being annoying.
They exited third period and walked down to the lunch room in silence.
"Guys, I'll meet up with you later. I forgot something in my classroom," She suddenly blurted out, pointing to the empty hallway. The twins just nodded and kept walking.
They entered the lunchroom and sat at a table in the corner, alone.

They had ordered the same thing, and ate in silence until a boy holding a stuffed bunny approached them.
"Excuse me," He said in a childish tone, "Our table is filled up. Do you mind if we sit here with you?"
Right when they were about to say no, Hikaru looked up to see a tall, dangerous looking guy who could pummel them if the objected.
"S-sure," They reluctantly agreed.
The blond boy smiled and sat down. The human tree sat down next to him, and they began to eat as well. Kaoru noticed that all the small one ate was cake.
"Thank you," He said, smiling. "I'm Haninozuka, but you can call me Hunny. This is Takashi, but call him Mori."

Okay. Guess who Haruhi meets next? His nickname is shadow king :)
