You grinned as you watched Kaoru perform in the lunch hall. It was technically against the rules to have a mini concert during lunch, but that never stopped him. He was standing on the table I front of you, strumming his guitar as he smiled down at you.

The lyrics were just for you. You were never popular and had never won in any game that wasn't on a screen, but you live how you want to. And Kaoru loves that about you.

He reaches down and brings you up on the table, encouraging you to sing with him. You laugh and dance on the table as you sing along with the chorus. You get the crowd singing along, hyped up from the music.

A teacher comes by and tries to stop the little concert, but the two of you stick out your tongues and give them the bird. The teacher just sighs and angrily stomps off, knowing they couldn't do anything. You guys would just do it again. And it's not like the school would expel the kid of a family that gave generous donations, and his new fiancée (he proposed last month at the park).

Later that evening, you were still humming the song. Kaoru pulls you into bed and spoons you. "I love you, (Y/N)...." He dozes off and you smile into the pillow and mumble, "I love you too, Kaoru."
