《Ouran Host Club X Reader: A Little Bit Crazy》He Knows: Kaoru

"I choose Kaoru."
Kaoru perked up and hugged you tightly. "I never thought you would choose me." You squeezed him and softly giggled. "Of course I would choose you, silly." Kaoru looked at you, raising a brow. "How do you know I'm not really Hikaru?" You rolled your eyes. "One; your voice is too high-pitched and soft to be Hikaru's, and two; I can feel caring and curious aura about you. Hikaru's aura is more mischievous and defensive." You both giggle and he gives you a look that says he definitely found the right one.
You look over to the others, noticing upset hosts, especially a very depressed Hikaru who no doubtedly felt like his twin had abandoned him. You give Kaoru a smirk and he does the same. Kaoru walks over to Hikaru, shoving him into Haruhi. "Kiss already, damnit." Hikaru blushed a fiery red and was about to argue with his twin, but Haruhi shrugged and placed her lips on his. The older twin blushed even more, squeezing his eyes shut and kissing back.
Tamaki was about to beat Hikaru across the head, but you tripped him as Kyoya walked by, causing the two to fall, Tamaki landing on top of Kyoya, their lips connecting. Tamaki's too embarrassed to move, but Kyoya wastes no time in practically devouring the blond's lips.
You and Kaoru move over to Hunny and Mori. You pick Hunny up and throw him on Mori, and Kaoru pushes Mori's head till his lips met the small blond's. They stared at each other wide-eyed before hesitantly kissing each other sweetly.
You and Kaoru high-five, your job here done. You take his hand and lead him to the rose garden where you sit and chat for hours.
~~~~Three Weeks Later~~~
You're at the Hitachiin mansion, in a guest room. Hikaru and Haruhi were out on a date, so Kaoru called you over for dinner and to play some games. But he first wanted you to try on one of his mom's new designs so she could get feedback from someone not related to her. You were trying on a pretty lavender dress that had a corset style to the top, and a mid-thigh skirt that was slightly poofy. You put on the matching heels and stepped out of the room where Kaoru was waiting.
His eyes widened and he gasped when he saw you. A light blush dusted his cheeks as his eyes looked you up and down. "Wow....you look amazing..." You blush and avert your eyes from his. "The dress is cute and fits nice. If your mom plans on having it be one of those special dresses that you have tailored to your measurements, then I think it's perfect. But if she plans on mass producing the dress, I suggest that she makes a few alterations to the top so it fits better for most girls." Kaoru nodded and wrote that down on a piece of paper. "Okay, put the note on the dress after you change. Just hang it back up where it was before."
After changing, you and Kaoru had a nice dinner full of joking, and almost ended up in a food fight. Luckily the butler came in and mentioned that if they made a mess they would have to clean it up themselves. After dinner they went up to the twins' game/movie room. There were bean bags, pillows, blankets, and a small loveseat. Kaoru put in the game and sat next to you, handing you a controller. You looked at the screen and raised a brow. "A teen mystery?"
You two played the game for awhile, figuring out that the game was about teens in horrible situations and you had to either save them or solve the crime that killed them. You go to a certain point, finding another teen with a new situation. One extremely familiar. The remote drops from your hands and you start shaking, curling into a ball and placing your hands over your head.
Kaoru drops his remote and immediately tries to console you. "(Y/N)? It's okay! No one's going to hurt you now. I'm sorry, I haven't played the game before so I didn't know that was in there. It's alright, (Y/N). You're not in Britain anymore."
You look up, tears streaming down your face. Kaoru pulls you into a hug and pets your hair, hushing you as he reassures you that you're alright.
He knows....?
The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
