I knock on the door of Akane's apartment and Yoichirou answers.

"Nii-san is changing. Wait for a second." He disappears into a room-- which I assumed was his-- and heard the lock click.

"Alright." I step in and observed the place. Not lots of furnishing, but if there was, it looked really nice and high-quality.

I take off my shoes and sit down on a very nice couch.

I wonder if Akane is rich...

"Kaoru?" Akane comes walking around the corner. Her short brown hair was pinned with a barrette and looked more wild than it did at school. She wore a slightly over-sized plain white t-shirt, black leggings and... glasses?

Akane must've noticed me looking at her.

"I wear glasses when I'm at home." She explains.

"Oh... you look cute." I let the words slip out.

"Ah, thanks." She sits down next to me and rolls up her sleeve.

"Alright, have at it."

"

"Now, the medicine applying now is something you've got to apply every morning, afternoon, and night." I gently rub on the ointment, twist the cap on, then handed it to her.

"Alright." She says, taking the bottle. As she sets it down, I take out a square bandage, take out the paper cover, and patch it over the cut.

"This is something that I doubt will heal completely. It's going to leave a scar if anything." I pack up my things in the bag, set it down, and look at her.

"Oh." Akane looks disappointed.

"It'll be okay, I'm sure no one will notice if you wear something like the sleeve of your t-shirt here." I tug on her t-shirt sleeve.

"Yeah, I know."

"Take these band-aids." I hand her a month's worth of band-aids.

"Oh, this much?"

"You'll have to change the band-aid three times a day." I tell her. She stares at them a little longer before quietly agreeing and set them down on the table along with the healing medicine.

Then there was silence.

I want to look at her, but I couldn't. I take her hand instead, feeling the warmth of her fingers under my skin.

"Akane."

"Hm?"

As she turns her head to face me, I reach out and touch her cheek and kiss her quickly before Akane even turned around completely. I kissed her harder than I actually intended, but it felt completely fine.
