"So, where do you plan on taking me?"
"Oh, how about a place to eat?" We pull up to a restaurant called "The Good Kitchen". We get out of the limo and walk inside.
"Reservation for Kaoru." Kaoru says.
"Right this way." says the lady holding menus. As we walk, I admire the interior-- diamond chandeliers, floral patterned tablecloth and smooth, white-wood chairs, and beautiful murals. Lots of men and women-- mostly elders-- were dressed in fancy outfits.
"Aren't we a tiny bit underdressed for this place?" I whisper.
"No, actually. We're going to the common room. You know, for common people. This place is for filthy, filthy rich people."
"And I thought your house was too much." I mumble incoherently.
We go through a set of glass double-doors and it led us to a room with a fireplace, bookcases and more tables and chairs-- most of them were full. It kind of reminded me of the club room the Hosts use.
"Here you are." The lady shows us to a table in the corner by a window.
"Thank you." I tell her and she slips away. I sit down in the chair-- feeling unworthy of sitting in it-- and took a look at the menu.
I didn't even know what half of this stuff was. I felt so weird.
"Does it matter what you eat? If not, I can get some things to share."
"That sounds great." I say with relief.
When the waiter swings by with our drinks, Kaoru orders a few things and we were alone again.
"What are you thinking right now?" Kaoru props his head with his elbows on the table.
"Well, a little out-of-place. I shouldn't though, I mean, I'm going out with a rich kid..." He reaches out and touches my hand and I stop.

"I don't want you to see me as just a rich kid, I'm not any different from other kids. Don't let my social class interfere with the way you look at me."
"I wasn't saying that... well, maybe I was. I'm sorry."
"Don't worry about it, between the two of us, we're socially the same. Okay?"
"Alright." He pulls his hand away.
"Good." Our food came and plates were placed on our table.
"So tell me about the food." I say when the waiter left. Kaoru took a plate in his hands.
"These are lamb sandwiches, saffron couscous, and almond mousse." He gave me a lamb sandwich.
"What kind of food is this?"
"Not sure, I think this is just a taste of what royalty kind of people eat."
"Well, no wonder because this is freaking amazing." I manage to say through a mouthful of lamb sandwich.
The rest of the food I was introduced to was just the same. It was all so good, there were tastes my mouth never experienced before. I've only been eating foods I could afford and that's nothing compared to the food I ate.
After that, he took me to a few shops and we got ice cream for dessert.
And finally, for the last stop of the night, Kaoru took me to the movie theater to see a romance called "The Space Between Us".
"I never heard of this movie."
"That's because it doesn't come out until February. It's October."
"Really? Then how are we...?" He grins.
"Ohh, that's why. You rich kids get everything."
"You make it sound like it's a bad thing."
"It is." We enter a movie theater and we were guided to a secret theater. It was big too.

"Do all movie theaters have secret rooms like this?" I mused.
"Only a few." Kaoru responds.
"There's a shocker." I walk down the stairs which were lit with cool, blue lights. I didn't even notice the seats...
"What the-- the seats!" They were not regular movie theater seats-- they're freaking recliners. They were in pairs in a tiny little area surrounded by their own little wall. The recliners were conjoined and share a little table that had a menu for snacks and refreshments. The recliners were able to move by two little buttons. Each recliner had its own speaker too.
"This is really overwhelming..."
"Well, enjoy it. It's not like anyone can waltz in here."
"True, true. But still... and the recliners have their own blankets too! I pick up a neatly folded blanket and unravel it.
"They're so soft..."
"Welcome to luxury." Kaoru says, chuckling.
Then, the place became dim.

Silven isn’t too happy when he stops to consider his miraculous prison escape, a guiding voice on the air and the herd of terrifying black knights hunting him down and realises he may be important. Equally, he’s not going to be too happy when he learns he’s nothing more than a character in a video game in chapter 3.8. There’s just no pleasing some people. But by the time of this realisation, Silven is all-powerful and all-arrogant, with a couple of game-breaking businesses under his belt. And when he finally understands he has been meddling with the very fabric of his own reality, the damage may already have been done. This fiction contains: * Approx. 4,342,213 video game tropes, mechanics and cliches * Very light levelling and business development (but no tables. Other than the one on the cover). * A rather acquired taste in dry, sarcastic humour. * 0 dragons. Why no dragons, man? Chapters will be released EVERY DAY, in order to sufficiently punish you for all the bad things you've done in life.
