"Um, yeah! How'd you know?" Honey asks.
"I took Judo! So wait, that means..." I turn to Honey's companion,
"Are you Takashi Morinozuka?" He looks surprised as well, but only nods.
"Uwah! How'd you know that?!" Honey looks at me in awe. I smile,
"I took Kendo too."
"Wow! Cool! Isn't she cool, Takashi?"
"Mm." was all that came from him.
"You can call him 'Mori' by the way." Honey escapes from my arms and climbs back on Mori's shoulders.
"Wow, there's lots we don't know about you." Tamaki says.
"Yeah, I never knew." I hear Kaoru say quietly. When I turn to look at him, he blushes with a small smile on his face.
"Hosts," Kyoya calls.
"It's time to open."
"
Well! That wasn't a bad experience, but I admit, it's kind of awkward, especially sitting at the twins' table and doing their 'Brotherly Love' act. I caught Kaoru looking at me a few times but I didn't mind. But when I look back at him, he turns away and acts normal.
I did take note that when Hikaru isn't around, Kaoru shows to be more level-headed and sincere. Hmm, why can't he be like that all the time? He seems better that way-- not that I'm judging him or--
"Nii-san?" I look to Chirou.
"Mo-chi?" Chirou frowns,
"I told you not to call me 'mochi'"
"What's wrong with that?" We enter our apartment. Small, but just enough for the two of us.
"Anyway," Chirou hooks his backpack on the hook beside mine.
"You look like you're lost in thought. What are you thinking about?"
Okay, the question he just asked might sound weird because basically, he's asking what your personal thoughts are. But I trust Chirou, and he's been my number one go-to person for years.

"Oh, just the events that happened today."
"What happened?"
"Well, remember Kaoru?"
"Uh-huh."
"Well, he showed me to his friends in the club he's in."
"What club?" He walks to the fridge and pulls out one of the many pre-made bento boxes we bought the other day from the grocery store. Reason: We don't have the money to cook our own meals. Well, actually we do. But we spend our money like it's the only amount we will ever receive.
"Well, it's called the 'Ouran Host Club'..."
"What does a host club do?" He put the bento in the microwave and set it for ten seconds. Then he turned to me with his full, undivided attention.
"Well, it's basically an entertainment kind of thing. The hosts are supposed to keep their customers entertained."
The microwave chimed and Chirou took out the bento and started to munch on a sushi. When he swallowed, he was quiet for a moment.
"... So what you're trying to avoid telling me is that the 'hosts' which consist of several guys including the cross-dresser are flirting with their girl-customers because they have too much time on their hands and the hosts have also too much time to spend so they spend a few hours having flirting sessions every day?"
I didn't even tell him squat.
"... Figured that out all on your own did you?"
"Nah," He ate another sushi.
"Just a hunch."
"
"Hey!" Kaoru poked me on the side of my head.
"What's up?"
"Do you want to go to a beach with me and the hosts today?"
"Uh... to do what?"
"Well, we're also doing it for business says Kyoya, but also to have fun!"

"What will be there? What activities?"
"Well, swim of course!" I wait for him to finish.
"... Swim? That's it?" Kaoru frowned.
"Did you expect other things?"
"Well, yeah."
"What? You can't swim, Akane-san?" Hikaru creeped up behind me.
"Uh, that's not the case but--"
"Then let's go!"
Hikaru literally picked me up off the ground like I was a flower and ran in the direction of the club room.
"Wait, no... nononono... aaaahhh! Stop! Put me down!"
"Not going to happen!" Hikaru winked.
"Wait, no..."
I caught Kaoru's eye who was running behind Hikaru and he caught mine. By the looks of him, he sensed something wrong coming from me. And something is wrong, but I really didn't want him to know that.
No, not the fact I can't swim-- which was false-- I can swim. Which is probably what Kaoru was guessing, but he was wrong. And now I have to tell him the truth. Of course I could lie-- which is usually what I do-- but for some reason, I can't seem to picture myself doing that. Not to him at least.

Lady of Beasts
Magic has vanished from the modern world, relegated to 'biased accounts' and fairy tales. It has no place in the world of heroes and science. Or so the modern people thought. They would be proven wrong, as one of the eldest lineages of the magical world is revived, to once more aim for dominion over the world of magic and man. Update: 19.4.2021: Revised paragraph formatting to ease the reading experience. Feedback is appreciated! Update: 16.07.2021: The last chapter is written!
