"Does wealth really matter so much around here?" I ask my newest friend-- Haruhi-- during class. Haruhi shrugs,
"No, not really. I mean, I'm not rich and well, here I am."
"I mean not just in general, like, why does the school only accept rich kids?"
"Oh, we can explain that." The twins, who sat next to me, had said in unison.
"This school does accept others, but hardly anyone is willing to pay the price." said Hikaru.
"And Ouran Academy is known for outstanding education, and so it would make sense that rich parents would want the best education for their child so they can be successful." Kaoru states.
"Hmm, I guess that makes sense." The last bell rang, our cue to start heading to the club room. We gather our things and walk out of the classroom.
"But don't worry. It doesn't take wealth to make you fit in around here, especially since you know us!" Hikaru says, putting an arm around his brother. Haruhi sighs and smiles.
"Even though we're boys, I'm sure you'll find a girl-friend too!"
"I already have. I have Haruhi." I glance at Haruhi who looks surprise, but nothing compared to the Twins' expression.
"But, Haruhi's a guy." Kaoru said. I look at him and raise an eyebrow.
"No... I'm pretty sure she's a girl."
"..."
"..."
"... What?"
"Well, no one ever noticed she was a girl at first glance." Kaoru told me.
"Well, except Kyoya and the Lobel-- ow!!!" Kaoru elbows Hikaru's ribs.
"Not dwelling on that," Kaoru nervously brushes his bangs aside. "Nobody knows that Haruhi's a girl except us three and the rest of the hosts, so don't tell anyone."
"Why not?" Haruhi laughs nervously,

"Well, I broke an expensive vase and in order to pay it off, I have to work at the host club."
"You know, Kyoya-senpai might actually have been joking about that and is just using you for business."
"I don't know... if Kyoya-senpai really wants me to stay, he would've said something. He can't just expect me to take a hint."
"You sure about that?" Suddenly, from out of nowhere, a tall boy with black hair and glasses appears behind us.
"Uwah!!! Kyoya-senpai?!"
"
"Well, that concludes it, your debt is raised by five-thousand." Haruhi sulks at the table she shared with the boy named Kyoya who was looking quite pleased with himself. He turns to me,
"So, you're the new honor student?"
"Well, uh. Yes."
"Kyoya Otori, charmed."
Sure don't look like it mister.
I look around the club room-- or, former music room. Tables and chairs were set up in various places and two couches sat in the middle with a low table separating them. The room was pretty big for a club room. Are they that popular here?
"You're probably wondering why we're so popular." Kyoya was staring at me.
He read my mind?!
"Well, according to the data I've been taking over the months, for the average rich girl not spending time in the host club, she spends eighty-two percent of the time wondering what to do and eighteen-percent of the time of actually doing something. And then when the average rich girl joins the host club she--"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Forget I asked... Or, mentally asked. Anyway, when do you guys start? I have to pick up my little brother in half an hour."
"We have to wait for the other three hosts. There are seven of us." The twins said.

Just then, the door creaked open. Tamaki walked in along with two others-- a tall boy with black hair and sitting on his shoulders, a much smaller boy with blonde hair and big brown eyes, holding a pink stuffed-bunny.
"Oh? Will Akane be joining us this afternoon?" Tamaki asked.
"Oh, yeah. Just for experi--"
"How great! A new customer!!!" The small boy jumped down from his companion's shoulders and hopped into my arms.
"Wait huh--" I instinctively caught him and-- wow. His size was like Chirou's only I think Chirou was about an inch shorter.
"Hi!!!" said the boy in my arms-- which I still have no idea why.
"I'm Mitsukuni Haninozuka, but you can call me 'Honey'!" Whoa, hold up.
"Mitsukuni Haninozuka? The most strongest Judo practitioner alive?" Honey blinks in surprise as well as the rest of the hosts-- except Kyoya.

Author's note: This is the first story I'm writting in a coherent manner (I have written a lot of DnD background stories in the past), so bear with me if I make boring or overdescriptive bits: I'll regularly come back to rewrite whichever parts feel unpolished, especially grammatical errors. I would also appreciate any corrections or suggestions.
