《4 Letters Long [OHSHC]》02| Akane

"Alright... you and Yoichirou are all set." Principal Suoh said. My grip on Yoichirou's hand tightened slightly.
"I'll have someone escort Yoichirou to the elementary." Just then, the doors behind us open. A boy, around my age, comes in. He had blonde hair and violet eyes.
"Father, did you ask for me?" He says.
"Yes, Tamaki," Principal Suoh stands up from his chair,
"These are the new students, I'd like you to escort the girl to her class and the little one to the elementary."
"Alright." The boy-- Tamaki-- walked to me and took my hand.
"Come with me, Princess Akane." How'd he know my name? Okay, never mind; I forgot he's the son of the chairman, so makes sense. And wait-- "Princess"? What is this, the eighteenth century? I give him a look of half cringe, half confusion. He laughs,
"Sorry about that, I guess my princely side got to me." I take Chirou's hand and we walk through the door and I already knew he was heading for my class.
"I'd like to walk with my brother to the elementary." He looks at me.
"Okay, I don't think it'll be a problem. By the way, you look lovely in the dress." I look down.
Oh, right. I have to wear the girl uniform... but did it have to look so loud?
The yellow color, the poofiness... it's so awkward.
"Since when do you use your 'princely side'?" I ask, changing the subject.
"Well, it's... that's a very open-ended question." He laughs, more at himself.
"Well... let's see, what year are you?"
"Ye..." I almost forgot, instead of grade levels at Kunugigaoka, there are years at Ouran.
"I'm a first year."
"Ugh..." He seemed... disappointed and worried.

"... What?"
"Well, the Hitachiin twins..." He mumbles off incoherently.
"Huh?"
"Can... I give you some advice?"
"Uh, sure?" Not sure where this was headed but-- Tamaki grabs my arm and spoke in a quick whisper,
"What ever you do, stay away from the--"
"What is this? Is his highness trying to make us a hazard?" Tamaki froze in place.
"-- Hitachiin twins..." He finishes in an almost inaudible whisper.
I turn in the direction of the voice and I see two twin brothers standing a few feet away from us with a look of mischief on their face.
"Does he not like us?" They both say in unison.
"About time you notice." Tamaki fires, standing closer to me, still holding my arm.
Chirou squeezes my hand, I could tell he was getting a little anxious about getting to class. So I started to ask Tamaki if we could step up our pace until I felt hands grab me.
It happens so fast. Before I knew it, left hand crosses to my right side, my right hand to my left, arm around my waist, fingers under my chin. I would've used my Aikido skills to break free, but I didn't want to 'cause a ruckus... or a broken bone. I was forced to turn my head to the left and I meet a pair of gold eyes.
"Oh, but sir, I like her. Why keep her all to yourself?" His voice was a little heavy and his gaze looked rather... alluring. Is he seriously trying to flirt with me?
The arm around my waist tugged me to my right and I my eyes met the eyes of the other twin.
"She is pretty. I would've kept her to myself too..." His voice was lighter-- even sweeter-- than the other twin. He even sounded a little shy. I mentally took note of this before my focus drifted back to the sweet brother. He was smiling at me, a gentle gaze on his face. Should I be blushing? Yeah, right. Just because he seems innocent, didn't mean I'd give him any satisfaction.

"Can you... let go now?" I ask. The boy blinked in surprise and let me go. The other twin started to laugh,
"I told you it wouldn't work, Kaoru! She totally shot you down!" Kaoru's cheeks blushed pink,
"Hikaru! It was just an experiment!" He protests. His eyes trailed back to me, "No need to dwell on that though." He assures me with a weak smile.
"I hope not," Tamaki spoke up, " Your plans are always the worst!"
"Says you!" Hikaru fires, "Here's a tip: try rethinking your technique with Haruhi sometime this century." Tamaki had a face of utter shock and slunk into a nearby corner and starts mumbling incoherently.
I stare at the scene going on before me until I felt a tug at my skirt.
"Hm?"
"Class starts in five minutes for me and I'm not even at school yet." Chirou looks at me like the world is going to explode. I smile and ruffle his hair,
"Alright, I'll get help. Relax." I take his hand and I find Kaoru, watching the scene unfold himself. Surprising to see that he isn't joining his brother who was sparring with Tamaki like little kids.
"Um... Kaoru?"
