"Nice catch." I told Dad as we stand up. "Nice meatball shooting! Guess we made a pretty good team, huh?" He asked holding his hand for a high five. "Yeah, guess we did." I turn to look down at (Name) to see she took off one of her boots, to look at it.

"Are you okay, (Name)?" I asked her, kneeling down. "Yeah, my boots are just a little fry. Gonna be a while before I can use them." She told me, taking the boot to slip it back on. "Well, thanks for trying to save me." I told her, she smile.

"No need to thank me, I wasn't going to just sit back and let some dinosaur eat my partner." My jaw drop slightly as I started to blush. I then smile and hold my hand out for (Name) to help her up.

"Are you kids all right?" Mom asked, as she and the rest of the family came running over to check on us. "We're good, Mom." I told her, Mom hugs and starts kissing me repeatedly. Mom stop (Name) is right there.

"Yeah, didn't you see us take out that dinosaur? Oh, man! It was so cool, Mom!" Mom stop kissing me, to look at Dad, surprised. "Oh, I mean, I'm sorry. I didn't..." He said, trying to apologize. "Oh, sweetie, it's okay." Mom told him, hugging him and kissing him on the cheek as well. "I'm really happy you're safe." She told him. "Your head." Dad pointed out look at it. "What? It's just a bruise, Lewis."

Dad then look at the family, to see all their bruise, with diary clothes and messy hair. "You all sacrificed so much for me." He said, touched. "Well, of course." Uncle Gaston said. "You are a special kid." Uncle Art told him. "One of a kind." Aunt Billie said.

"Okay, you should get him out of here before something really bad happens." Carl whisper to (Name) and I. I roll my eyes and grab his head. "Silly, silly robot. We've got it all under control." I let go of him and step towards the family. "Okay, everybody, it's been a long, hard day filled with emotional turmoil and dinosaur fights, so why don't you all hit the hay, and Lewis, (Name), and I will get going?"

We walk towards Lewis, when Mom spoke. "Do you have to go now? I mean, you know, it's getting late. Maybe... maybe Lewis could spend the night." She suggested. "Mom, maybe some other time, okay?" I told her. "Well, any time you want to come over, you just come over."

"Mom." I said, trying to get her to stop. "The truth is, we love having you." She told Lewis. "We really have to go." (Name) said grabbing Dad's shoulder. "No. No, you don't. You have to stay. I mean, who would be a better family for you than us? What do you say, Lewis? Do you want to be a Robinson?"

All three of us were speechless. "Y-you want to adopt me?" Lewis asked, he looks at me then at the family, smiling he nodded. The family cheers with excitement and joy. Carl signal for me to do something before this gets more out of hand.

I look away before knocking Dad's hat off to show the family his hair, everyone gasp. "Okay, it's true. I'm from the past. Now you know the big secret." Lewis told them. "Wilbur, (Name), what have you done? How could you two bring him here?" Mom asked us. "That is an excellent question." I was about to answer but Dad spoke up. "Please, don't get mad at them. They were just being good friends."

"Lewis, I am so sorry, but you have to go." Mom told him, Dad look at shock then he becomes anger. "What? You just said..." Mom interrupted him. "I know what I said."

"I'm from the past. So what?" He asked, not knowing why he can't stay. "Lewis. Lewis, look at me. You're... You're a great kid, and we would never do anything to hurt you, but I'm sorry. You have to go back to your own time."

I rub my neck nervously. "Yeah, about that, one of the time machines is broken, and the other one was stolen by a guy with a bowler hat, which kind of explains the dino." The family look at the dinosaur as she plays with her feet. "I'm calling your father and (Name's) parents." Mom told us, (Name) starts to sweat from the fear of what her mother will do to her when she finds out about this.

"Wait. If I have to leave, can I at least go back and find my Mom? Wilbur and (Name) promised." Dad said making (Name) and I to look at each other, scared. "You promised what?"

"We were never gonna do it. I swear!" I told her, (Name) slap her hands over my mouth. But it was too late. "You guys lied to me?" Dad asked us. "No!" (Name) said shaking her head but slowly it turn into a nod. "Yes."

Dad growled in anger before marching off. "Lewis! Lewis, wait!" Dad turn to face us. "I can't believe I was dumb enough to actually believe you two were my friends!" He then spun back around and started running away.

"We are your friends!" I called out to him. "Mister..." I coward, slowly turning to look at my family. "...you're grounded... till you die." Mom told me before she and the rest of the family walk off, leaving (Name) and I alone to think about what we've done.

"We really did it this time, didn't we?" (Name) asked. "Yeah.." I let out a frustrating groan as I cover my face with my hands. "Why could I have just lock the garage door?! Now my family mad at me, Lewis hates us, and my Dad is going to kill me."

I felt (Name) place her hand on my shoulder to comfortably me. "Hey, it's going to be okay... let's just go find Lewis and apologize. Maybe if we explained...." I drop my hands, turning my head to look at her. "Why we couldn't take him to find his Mom?" (Name) bit her lip and nodded, I let out a sigh. "Maybe you're right... it's the only way we can make things better now."

Lewis ran into the garden sitting up against a hedge, he takes off his glasses as he started to cry. He hears a few beeps making him stop. "Oh, yes, Doris, it is a shame."

He stood up, putting his glasses back on. "All he ants to do is go back in time to meet the mother he never knew. But they won't let them. We'd let him, though. Wouldn't we? Too bad we don't have a time machine. Oh, wait." The 2nd time machine reveal it's self, with Bowler Hat Guy inside it. "We do."

"Bowler Hat Guy?" He said. "Hello, Lewis." He said opening the window door. "What do you want?" Lewis asked. "To make your dream come true. All you two have to do is put Humpty Dumpty back together again, and we'll take you both back to find your mommy."

"Lewis! Lewis!" The boy turn his head, to see Wilbur and (Name) were looking for him. "Let's just talk about this, man. Come on! We know you're around here somewhere." Lewis look up at Bowler Hat Guy to see him holding his hand. However his under hand was behind his hand, hiding his fingers were cross.

"Lewis!" He look again to see the kids ran up the hill and found him with Bowler Hat Guy. Wilbur mouth the word no, but Lewis ignored him and took Bowler Hat Guy's hand. Climbing into the time machine. Bowler Hat Guy laugh as he flew away with Lewis.

Bowler Hat Guy took the boy to an old building, to fix the Memory Scanner. "I can't imagine why you're so interested in this piece of junk." Lewis said, as Bowler Hat Guy checks getting him on his check list. "That's for me to know and you to find out." Bowler Hat Guy said putting his binder away. "Now, show me how to work this thing."

"It doesn't work. Never did." Lewis told him dropping the screwdriver onto the table. "Well, supposing it did, and if one were presenting the invention to, say, a board of directors for a very large invention company, where might one find the 'On' switch? Hypothetically speaking, of course."

"All right, first, you turn this knob twice, then push this red button, and that's it. It's pretty easy." Lewis told him, Bowler Hat Guy push him out of the way, to hug the scanner. "What a stupid way to turn it on!'

"Okay, take me to see my Mom now." Lewis told him. "Yes, of course. Doris?" Bowler Hat Guy put the scanner in a box while Doris tie him up with rope. "We had a deal!" Lewis reminded him. "Crossies! Doesn't count." Bowler Hat Guy said sticking his tongue out like a child.

"Why are you doing this to me? I never did anything to you." The boy asked. "You still haven't figured it out?" Bowler Hat Guy asked circling around him. "Figured out what?" Lewis asked. "Well, let's see if this rings a bell. Father of the Future, inventor extraordinaire, Keep moving forward?"

"That's not me. That's Wilbur's dad." Lewis told him, Bowler Hat Guy just smile. "Are you saying that I'm Wilbur's dad?" He asked. "Oooh, give the boy a prize. You grew up to be the founder of this wretched time, so I plan to destroy your destiny. Easy peasy, rice and cheesy." Bowler Hat Guy told him as he checks his teeth with Doris's mirror.

"Wha... So if I'm Wilbur's dad..." Lewis started. "Keep going." Bowler Hat Guy said. "If I'm Wilbur's dad..." Lewis said again. "Yes, thank you, we've established that." Bowler Hat Guy told him. "But what does that have to do with you?"

"Allow me to shed some light on the subject." Bowler Hat Guy pull a string and the light turn on to reveal they were in Lewis' room. "My old room!" Lewis said, amazed. "I think you mean our old room." Bowler Hat Guy told him. "What?" Bowler Hat Guy pull off his black cloak, to reveal he's wearing his old baseball uniform from when he was a child. "Yes! Yes, it is I, Mike Yagoobian!"

Lewis look at him in disguise. "I know. I'm disgusting, but one learns to love it." Goob told him. "How did you end up like this?" Lewis asked.

"Well, it's a long and pitiful story about a young boy with a dream, a dream of winning a Little League championship, a dream that was ruined in the last inning. We lost by one run because of me."

In the past Goob was fast asleep standing up in the field. When the ball came flying down, hitting him on the head, waking him up. The team crowd around the yawning Goob, before the attack.

During all of Goob's adoption meet and greet, Goob scared everyone away from how he told his story of the game he lost.

At school all the kids treated him normally, in fact they thought his unicorn binder cool and wanted to hang out with him. But Goob ignored them, still in pain and rage over that one game.

"For some reason, no one wanted to adopt me. They all hated me. Eventually, they closed down the orphanage and everyone left, except me."

For years Goob sat in his old room, listening to Lewis become more and more successful. While his life continued to go absolutely nowhere, all because he couldn't let the past go.

"It was then that I realized, it wasn't my fault. It was yours. If you hadn't kept me up all night working on your stupid project, then I wouldn't have missed the catch, so I devised a brilliant plan to get my revenge."

This plain involved Goob, throwing eggs at the Robinson Industries building. He picks up a roll of toilet paper smiling evilly at it. That's when Doris revealed herself to him. They both went to Playtime Planet, to discuss how Lewis wrong them.

"Then, just as I was on the brink of destroying Robinson Industries, I met her. We retreated to our villainous lair, where Doris spun a tale of deception and woe. Apparently, you invented her to be a Helping Hat, a slave to humankind, but Doris knew she was capable of so much more. However, you didn't see her true potential. So you shut her down, or so you thought. We both had a score to settle with you, and while my plan for revenge was brilliant, Doris' was..."

Goob's plain involved T-Peeing Robinson Industries. While Doris' plain involved stealing the time machine, to take Lewis' first real invention and past it off as their own. To destroy the future that he created. The only thing Goob could contribute to was showing Doris where the invention was, and passing the invention off for her.

"Well, we went with Doris', but I made a very, very important contribution. Together we made the perfect team."

That night the went to the Robinson's house, seeing Wilbur outside in the rain, carrying a bag of garbage to the garage. After he dumb the bag, he accidentally didn't close the door all the way, leaving it open for Goob and Doris to sneak right in and take the Time Machine.

"I went to your house, snuck in the garage and stole the time machine, all thanks to that pointy-haired little kid who forgot to lock the garage door. And now all that's left is to return to Inventco, where I'll pass off your little gizmo as my own."

"But you have no idea what that could do to this future!" Lewis told him. "I don't care. I just want to ruin your life." Goob told him. "Goob, I had no idea." The boy told him. "SHUT UP! And don't call me Goob! How many evil villains do you know who can pull off a name like Goob? Blah!"

"Look, I'm sorry your life turned out so bad, but don't blame me. You messed it up yourself. You just focused on the bad stuff when all you had to do was.... let go of the past and keep moving forward." Lewis told him, realizing he should have been doing that himself this whole time. "Let's see. Take responsibility for my own life or blame you. DING, DING, DING! Blame you wins hands down!"
