《Meeting the Gangleader》Chapter 4

*Brittany's P.O.V*
I wake up to sun light shinning through a window.
Looking around, I start to freak out because I don't know where I am.
It's 1pm, says the clock next to the bed, and I don't know how I slept for so long.
I look down at myself, and in place of the gorgeous black dress I was wearing last night,
I'm now wearing a white v-neck t-shirt that reaches down to my knees.
Where am I?
How did I get in to this?
Then it all comes back.
The club.
The attack.
Adam.
The car ride.
The coffee date.
Offering to stay here.
I look around, and actually take a good look at the room I'm in.
I didn't really look last night.
I was to distracted.
I'm laying on a bed that's white, but has black covers, and it's actually really comfortable.
That explains how I slept for so long. Well, and that I didn't go to sleep until late.
To my right is a big glass window with white curtains and it looks like there's a balcony.
Right in front of me is a big flat screen tv, and on the right of the tv is a full body mirror.
Then to my left there's glass shelves, and a black dresser.
It's an ordinary room, but it has an edgy bad boy vibe to it.
It certainly suits Adam perfectly.
After taking in my surroundings, I hesitantly get out of the bed, and make my way to the door.
He did say he was going to sleep on the couch.
I open it and poke my head out in to a hallway.
Taking in the features, I see that the hallway walls are just plain white.
I go to the left, and start to sneak down the hallway.
I could be a spy like the TV show 'Chuck'.
Soon I arrive at a set of stairs going down.
I quietly walk down them, and when I get to the bottom, I see a flat screen TV, and a black sofa.
I walk cautiously to the sofa, and look over it.
Laying on the couch, sleeping peacefully, is Adam.
I smile and just watch him for a couple minutes.
What am I doing? I don't even know this guy. Ugh, I'm such a creep.
He was still wearing the clothes he had on last night.
Should I wake him up? Well I have nothing else to do.
With that thought I go over to him and touch his shoulder.
"Adam," I whisper.
He doesn't move.
"Adam," I say a little louder.
Still no response.
"Adam!" I scream and grab his shoulder.
He shoots off of the couch and we both fall on the floor, with me ending up on top of him, straddling his waist.
"Damn, you can't just go around scaring people that are sleeping like that!" He says holding his hand above where his heart is.
I smile apologetically.
"Sorry?" I mumble.
He gets his breathing under control, and I look down noticing how sexual our position is.
He seems to notice too, and just smirks at me, causing me to scramble off of him and sit on the couch.
He gets up after me, and sits next to me, a little closer then expected.
I turn to him.
"So Adam," I bite my lip.
His eyes fall to my lips.
Haha sucker, you're falling in to my trap, I mean, he is a guy and guys love sex.
Unless they're gay, but even then I guess they love it, right?

"Mhhm?" He whispers not taking his eyes off of my lips.
"How am I getting home?" I whisper.
"I'll take you," He says, his eyes not leaving my lips.
"OK, great!" I smile.
Wait... I was at the bar last night with Rebecca and Alice.
Oh my god!
Alice and Rebecca!
I left them at the bar!
"Oh my gosh! I have to go! I went to the bar with my friends, and I didn't tell them I was leaving!"
I jump off of the couch and go to try and find my clothes, but Adam has another idea.
He pulls me in to his lap by my wrist, and wraps his arms around my waist.
"I told them you were safe. They kept blowing up your phone last night when you were asleep I went to grab a blanket and pillow from my closet because I have extras in there and your phone kept going off so, you're welcome. Oh! You have a great fake ID. I saw it last night when I grabbed your phone. Do you know how hard it is to get in to that bar?" He whispers resting his head in the crook of my neck.
I couldn't focus on what he was saying, because of how close we were.
I quickly scrambled to get up, but he only tightened his arms around me.
"Wanna hang out today?" He questions.
Did I hear him right?
"Sure." I giggle.
What are you saying? You don't even know this guy! He could be a murderer!
He smiles at me, and looks down at my lap.
I quickly pull the shirt I'm wearing down to my knees again, because it had come up to the middle of my thighs.
I blush when I feel him shift slightly.
"So what do you want to do today?" He asks.
"I dunno. It's completely up to you." I reply, and he just smirks in response.
Ugh. Him and that stupid smirk. I could just slap it off of his face. Then kiss his face better since I would have just slapped him.
He suddenly leans closer, so his lips brush against my ear.
"Anything?" He whispers.
I open my mouth in shock and smack his shoulder lightly.
"You're a perv!" I laugh.
"Eh, only sometimes," He smiles.
"Oh! Ice cream?" His face lights up like a little kid.
"Wow. You sound like a little kid. But sure." I reply with a smile.
He gives me an actual smile, not his signature smirk.
"Yay!" He cheers.
I get off of his lap, and walk towards the stairs.
I don't have any other clothes.
I turn back around to face him.
"Uhm... Adam... I don't have any other clothes besides that dress..." I say and I feel myself blush.
He smiles, and grabs my hand, dragging me up the stairs.
"Come on."
We reach the hallway, and go down the hall leading to his room.
He opens the door, and closes it once I walk in.
I stand beside him, and he just looks at me.
"Why are you looking at me?" I look down shyly, and hear him laugh and walk away.
I look up, and see him looking through the top drawer of his dresser.
"Aha!" He cheers, then pulls out a black tank top that looks like it would probably fit me, and walks over and hands it to me.
Then he walks back to his dresser, closes the top drawer, and opens the one below it.

He pulls out a pair of black skinny jeans and throws them at me.
I catch them and he goes and sits on the bed, watching me.
"I've had those for a pretty long time, so they shouldn't be THAT big on you. I'm pretty sure I've had those since I was like 15." He says, and leans back on his elbows.
"Where can I change?" I look at him, and he just smirks.
"Right there." I feel my face heat up as he says this.
I stand there awkwardly not knowing what to say, when he gets up.
He walks over to his dresser again, and grabs a change of clothes before he walks to the door.
"Come downstairs when you're ready." With that, he leaves the room shutting the door behind him.
I quickly change, and walk over to look at myself. The jeans are a little baggy, and a little bit to long, so I roll the bottoms up.
The tank top is baggy as well, but oh well.
I quickly brush my hair out with my fingers, and then pull my hair up in to a high pony tail.
I walk in to the bathroom, and put some of his tooth paste on my finger.
What? I don't want bad breath.
I quickly brush my teeth with my finger, then look at myself one more time.
When I'm done fixing myself, I grab my stuff off of the bed side table and walk back downstairs.
When I get downstairs, Adam is sitting on the couch.
He changed as well, and is wearing a white tank top, black skinny jeans, a black leather jacket, and black combat boots.
His hair is messy, but somehow he pulls it off.
"So where are we going?" He looks over at me and gets up, smiling.
That smile looks really good on him.
"Ice cream. Duh." I giggle.
"Oh yeah." He says and laughs.
He walks to the door, and I slip on my heels from last night.
Don't judge me, what else am I supposed to wear on my feet?
He chuckles quietly, then opens the door, and looks at me waiting for me to walk through it.
Walking through the doorway I sigh, happily.
The chilly fall air hits me, and suddenly I wish I had a jacket.
Shivering, I cross my arms over my chest to try to generate some heat.
I breath in deeply, actually enjoying the freshness of the crisp air.
I wait for Adam, and as he walks by me, he puts his hand on my lower back, and guides me to his car.
I feel tingles by his touch, and I smile.
He opens the passenger door for me, and once I get in, he shuts it and hurriedly walks around to the drivers side.
He slides in to the car and turns it on, driving to the ice cream parlor.
"Can I turn the radio on?" I question. He just nods his head slightly in response.
I reach over and turn it on, flipping through the stations until I hear Demons by Imagine Dragons.
"When the days are cold,
and the cards all fold,
and the saints we see are all made of gold," I sing along.
He chuckles at me, and in response I just glare at him but continue singing.
"When your dreams all fail,
and the ones we hail are the worst of all,
and the bloods run stale,
I wanna hide the truth,
I wanna shelter you,
but with the beast inside there's no where we can hide,
no matter what we breed,
we still are made of greed,
this is my kingdom come,
this is my kingdo- Hey!" I protest as he cuts off the music.
He looks at me then motions for me to look out of the car.
"We're here." He states, trying not to laugh.
"Oh." I look down at my lap, then open the door and get out of the car, not wanting him to say anything else.
He gets out of the car, and we both walk in to the ice cream parlor.
"How can I help you?" The girl, Stacy (at least that's what her name tag reads) asks.
She looks about my age, with short light brown hair, brown eyes, and glasses.
"Chocolate chip, please." I say, but she only nods slightly and never takes her eyes off of Adam.
He smiles at her.
"I'd like the same thing." He replies, and she smiles at him and sticks her chest out a little more then before.
I swear, if she doesn't stop looking at him I'm going to pull her over this counter and strangle her.
Wait... I can't think that... I'm not even dating him...
She goes and gets two cups of chocolate chip ice cream, and comes back.
"That will be $5.94, please."
I reach in to the pocket of his skinny jeans when I realize I don't have my purse.
I left it in his car.
"Adam, I don't have my purse, I left it in the car."
He smirks at me.
"Good. That way you can't even try to pay. Don't worry about it, babe. I got it." He says, smoothly.
When he calls me babe, the girl seems to notice me for the first time.
She gives me a dirty look, as if telling me I'm not good enough for him.
Yeah, I know. I'm not good enough for anyone.
Adam pulls out his wallet from his back pocket, and pays for our ice cream.
We walk over to a table near the wall, and sit down.
Breaking the silence, Adam looks up at with a smirk.
"So, what's your favorite color?" He questions.
"Purple. And yours?" I say finally looking up at him.
"Black." He replies immediately.
Well I guess that makes sense.
I roll my eyes.
"Of course it is," I mutter under my breath.
"What's that supposed to mean? Do you have a problem with black?" He replies chuckling.
I shake my head no.
"Practically everything you own is black. Well from how much of your stuff I've seen." I laugh.
"I have a lot of red stu-" He starts to say but gets cut off by his phone.
He picks it up and clicks accept.
"What Chase. I'm kinda busy." He listens to whatever this Chase guy is saying, and smiles at me apologetically.
"Yeah, I'll be there as soon as I can," Then he hangs up.
"Is our day getting cut short?" I already know his answer and can't help but to feel upset.
"I'm really sorry. Rain check?" He says hopefully.
I force a smile, and stand up.
I don't wanna go home to my demon parents.
I shake my head yes and start to head towards the door, after throwing my empty cup away.
I walk outside, and get back in the car.
He gets behind the wheel.
"Where do you live?" He asks.
"340 Cherry Tree Road," I mumble.
He turns the car back on and starts to drive to my house.
After a short, quiet ride, we arrive in front of my house.
I go to get out but he grabs my arm, stopping me.
"Let me walk you up."
I nod and get out of the car.
We walk up the steps to my front porch and I turn towards him.
He reaches in to his back pocket and pulls out his phone, holding it out to me.
"Put your number in?"
Yes! That means he wants to hang out again!
I smile, take his phone, type in my number, and hand it back to him.
"There ya go." I say.
He laughs and slides it back in to his pocket.
"Thanks for the ice cream. Today was fun, and so was last night. Bye Adam." I say smiling.
He nods his head, and with that I turn to open the door.
I twist the handle, and I'm go to push the door open when he turns me to face him, and connects his lips to mine.
I feel my lips tingle, and butterflies erupt in my stomach.
At first, I don't know how to react, but soon I kiss him back.
I tangle my hands through his hair, and he pushes my back against the front door.
He licks my bottom lip, and I open my mouth, letting our tongues meet.
I pull back after a couple seconds, out of breath.
I look at him, my smile growing bigger.
"Bye Adam." I turn around and quickly open the door.
I enter the house, and shut the door.
God, his lips are as soft as they look. I could kiss him all day.
And with those thoughts, I head up to my room.

Nameless Hypocrite
"Bastard, surrender yourself!" "You think you can escape our encirclement?!" "An omnicidal fiend like you can only atone in death!" Despite his precarious situation, a young man ignored the union's provocations. His violet robe was in tatters, showing the incredible number of attacks he received, yet there was no sign of injury. Noticing the light smile tugging at his lips, the pursuing heroes warily watched him, cautious of a final attack. It was only by working together that they could corner a monster like him. An arrow pierced the air, beelining towards the young man. A malicious gleam revealed itself in his eyes; he unsheathed his sword, a long, curved blade, and deflected the projectile, spiking it into the ground. The archer's eyes widened before being split in two. He died suddenly and indignantly. The group backed away; their former confidence diminished greatly by the invisible counter. It was then that the young man sighed, his voice full of lament and self-pity. "Being a saint truly is difficult, even the world cannot understand my righteous actions." The expressions of the surrounding heroes turned ugly. Such blatant hypocrisy! Yes, the protagonist is a villain. We don't do morals here. New chaps when I write them
