《Black hearts meet Red》Chapter 37

The morning felt different. As if I was different.A huge weight was lifted off my shoulder making me feel lighter.Because I knew, now I wasn't alone.
The charcoal eyed man had woken up with a determination. He was confident with his steps and words. As we walked around the apartment, he looked no less than a king.A king, who was all ready to rule the world.
My head still hurt and so did my arm. When I woke up, curled against my husband's body, my world spined making me move away from him instantly.Although the coldness that spread through my body afterwards had me pulling the comforter a little more to my side.
My fingers froze as my eyes swept up to the man's face who remained a feet away from me.Moving my fingers away from the bandage, I let him secure the two ends. His hair fell messily onto his forehead, as he bandaged my arm.
My heart jumped as he leaned in towards my arm to inspect the band aid.Once done he quietly moved away as if he was never there.Keeping the first aid box away, I walked out from the bedroom.I could hear the man talk on his phone somewhere in the office.
His loud chuckle echoed in the silent environment.I knew well, he was talking to his sister.A wave of nostalgia hit me, making me remember the life I was living back home before my marriage.Sitting on the sofa, I folded my knees under me.
The happiness that always bloomed in our small house whenever Uncle would bring a sweet treat for me and Sikander bhai whenever he would return from work.Or the times when Aunty Shahana would make our favourite dishes but life evolved quickly.
Time didn't stop and Uncle passed away.I grew up and started to work.Aunty Shahana took all responsibilities over her shoulders.Sikander bhai became our protector.
I sighed sadly shrinking in my seat.Ky heart was thudding or it seemed it was knocking.Knocking on my senses that yesterday I was lucky but my luck wouldn't last for today and within some time Jalal Khan would be here.
Jalal Khan
Right at the door step, making all the fear to crawl up my spine again. It wasn't as if I wasn't scared right now.I was still terrified even when Arsalan was home.
I flinched when a hand was placed on my shoulder. My eyes landed on the large man before me as he sat besides me now.
" What?"He asked, concern flashing through his face.
" Nothing. You just scared me."I said quietly, averting my eyes to my hands.
Silence fell around us, making us comfortable. It was always the silence between us.Maybe we didn't need words to communicate, our silence was our language. But I wanted our silence to transform into something more. And so for the first time I took the initiative.

" I-"The cellphone rang somewhere in the office making the words die in my mouth.
The man's expectant eyes flashed with irritation as he stood up.His deep voice filled with sorry-ness.
" I'll be right back, it must be from office."I nodded before passing him tight smile. His footsteps went away and I breathed out deeply.Curling my fists, I found them cold.
Standing up, I thought to pray before lunch.Making my face inside the room, I spread the prayer mat when the door bell rang.My breaths halted and so did my steps.
The Earth seemed to stop revolving and my ears turned deaf to any other voice except for the familiar knock.Swallowing down my throat, I moved towards the hallway. My feet had a mind of their own as they slowly moved forward step by step.
One step
Two steps
Three steps
Four steps
My hands shook as I pulled the door open this time.A new found energy flowing with blood inside my veins as I stared at the beastly man before me.
Jalal Khan
Jalal Khan
Jalal Khan
Jalal Khan
His sinister smirk danced on his rough face.My eyes stared right through the man's dark ones seeing the victory shine in them. But I wanted the victory all for myself.
" You learned your lesson beautiful."He spoke as his figure leaned against the doorframe. The smell of cigarette wafting past my nostrils.
" I see ! I made you wait long.Sorry I didn't visit you yesterday."He mocked with a chuckle.I didn't react because they wasn't anything to react.
Jalal Khan always breaks Amal.
Jalal Khan always owns Amal.
Jalal Khan always mocks Amal.
His hand reached forward towards me but it never touched me.In a split second I was pushed back from the door as my husband now shielded my body from Jalal Khan, a loud gasp ripping from my mouth at the new interruption. His arm remained as a barrier on my side, keeping me behind his back.
" Don't dare to touch even a hair on her body."Arsalan growled making me come back to my senses. My mind more awaken now as I peeked at the two men.
Arsalan remained fearless as the other one only chuckled darkly. There was no comparison of the two men.My husband was much taller and muscular than the man at our door, who was old and remained inches smaller than my husband. His greying hair a mess on his shaggy mess on his head, as his brown eyes started at me with blazing anger.
" Oh beautiful, did you disobey me."He stated making me clench my husband's coat in my fist. The man shielding me tensed all of a sudden. His body moving forward as he spoke with anger.
" Don't address her.She is no one to you."Pointing a finger towards Jalal Khan, the man spoke.

" Stay away from this, its not your matter."Jalal Khan snapped making my eyes grow larger.
" Oh, this damn is my matter."This made Jalal Khan's anger fuel more as he looked back at me.
" You have him wrapped around your fingers too."He smirked dirty.Making me look down as tears filled my eyes.
" I said don't talk to her."A loud shriek left my lips as I saw Arsalan land punch on the man's face square. My eyes turning like a saucer.Jalal Khan staggered backwards, his hand moving to his jaw.
My husband wasn't done just yet, when he pulled Jalal Khan closer by grabbing his shirt.Another punch on his face, making the man land on the corridor floor.
" This is for hurting my wife."
Another one on his stomach as the man groaned in pain.Whislt I stood frozen in the doorway.
" This is for threatening my wife."
Another punch on his ribs, as the weaker man cried out.
" This one is for burning my wife's hand."
Arsalan pulled the groaning man up by his collar. His rage filled face nearing Jalal Khan, as he sneered angrily.
" She is my wife and only mine."Jalal Khan was pushed on the cold floor again and was bombarded with more punches as Arsalan kept him counting.
" This one is for cutting my wife's arm."
" This one is for stealing my wife's phone"
I clamped my hands over my mouth, trying to stifle all the bubbling cries.
Ya ALLAH , what did I do to deserve a man like him.
Arsalan heaved as he moved away from the knocked out man.The intimidating kicked the limp body of Jalal Khan making a gasp to rip out of my mouth.
I moved forward, my hand grasping his larger one, stopping him.
" Please-" I said softly seeing his dark charcoal eyes land on me.I shook my head wanting to just close this chapter forever.I looked down at my feet when footsteps sounded on the floor.
" Tie him up and make a strong case against him.Get him deported.I don't want to see his face ever again in this continent."I looked up as my husband ordered. His friend with the striking blue orbs stood with two security guards.
The men in uniform pulled the unconscious body of Jalal Khan before they were taking him away.I closed my eyes, pulling my hand away from the man grasp.I walked inside the apartment.Hearing the men talk among themselves.
Too overwhelmed with all the events that just took place, I walked with shaking legs in the kitchen.Filling a cup of water, I sat on the chair.I was cold but my eyes were burning. The tears were dried but my heart was pumping normally as it I was freed.
Gulping the water down my parched throat, I stood up before walking inside the bedroom. The main door closed behind me and the footsteps of the man resonated outside the bedroom.
Pulling away the dark grey dupatta from my shoulders, I placed it on the bed.Standing before the mirror. My grey eyes looked at my self. The bruise on my cheek was fading away yet my pale skin stood out.My large eyes looked lost as I stared at my self.
Reaching towards the pins in my bun, I pulled them out as my very long hair cascaded down my back. The strands reaching just above the back of my knees.Running a hand through my black strands, I brushed them back. The air inside the room shifted making me stiffened.
My eyes landing on the reflection of my husband who stood some feet away from me.Our eyes stared at eachother through the mirror making me conscious that it was the first time Arsalan was seeing my hair open.I gulped down my dry throat seeing the man frozen on his place.
His coat from earlier was gone whilst his tie hung loose against his collar.Shivers ran down my spine as his burning gaze scrutinized me.Making me shift my weight on my feet.Turning around slowly I faced the man.Seeing the shock plastered on his face.
" I-I."My words were dissolved in thin air as the man stride towards me.My grey eyes widened as my back hit the cold wall and he placed his hands on my waist. His face nearing mine as his dark eyes stared into mine. His nose brushed softly against mine making tingles run over my body. His face wasn't expressionless yet I remained unable to read his expression.
" What?"
My mouth was shut as his lips landed on mine. All breath leaving my body as my eyes shied down. The man's hand left my waist as he gripped my hair lightly and curled his fist around them.
I was frozen and my knees turned jelly. My mind not processing anything whilst my heart was racing inside my chest.
My husband was kissing me.
Arsalan Khan was stealing my first ever kiss.
