《Black hearts meet Red》Chapter 31

Plug in the song !!
Amal
Inhaling in a deep breath, I zipped the back of my black dress.Sitting on the stool before the vanity table, I opened the makeup box Rhea selected for me.Looking at the different colours in it, I pushed it back.Starting with my eyes, I applied a deep layer of Kohl, using the black eyeliner.I tried for making the perfect wing.Mascarra coating my long lashes.
Stroking the brush on my eyelids, I filled in the black eyeshadow lightly.Trying not to mess it up.Being in Marwa's company had taught me how to do makeup.
Marwa-I sighed heavily.
She taught me half the things about life. And marriage.
Satisfied with the eye makeup.I stroked the brush against my cheek bones.Seeing them turn the perfect shade of pink against the blush.Contemplating which lipstick to wear, I applied the red one. That I bought with Rhea.
Once the makeup phase was over.I wrapped my very long hair in a bun before pining it.My eyes glanced at the clock as it read thirty past seven.
Oh ALLAH, the driver was going to be here any minute.
My husband had left early with his clothes because he had to check up on arrangement but before leaving he had arranged the driver for me, who would take me to the party location.
Slipping my feet in the black high heels, I thought about all the matching. My mind wandering that if Rhea knew about the party.Maybe that's why she made me choose everything of matching. This black dress was only the perfect one to wear for a formal party.Maybe she did.
Looking for the black matching scarf, I wrapped it loosely around my head.My black strands caressing my face.My hands sweated in anticipation for what was going to happen tonight.Wearing my wedding ring and a silver matching ring, I was ready to go.
Standing before the mirror, I bit my bottom lip.The black blouse had small embellishment on it.The boat shaped neckline covered in sequins work. The net sleeves covering my arms. The hem of the blouse was to be tucked in the flowy high waisted skirt. The plates ran all around the skirt creating more volume and beautifulness to it.The tiny beads decorated the black skirt material. The matching scarf was simple.
A beep made me turn towards the bed where my phone was.Grabbing it and unlocking it, I received a message from my husband.
The driver's waiting for you downstairs-
Replying him with a quick 'okay'.I hurried towards my clutch before grabbing it and switching off the extra lights.Blowing a soft prayer around the home, I locked it with shaky hands. My stomach was rolling as the elevator doors opened on ground floor.
The black shining Mercedes benz already waiting for me outside.Gulping the nervousness down my throat, I walked in the high heels seeing the driver waiting by the car door.
Halting before the car, second thoughts clouded my mind.Resisting the urge to run back upstairs, I smiled at the kind man.Seeing him open the door for me.
Sliding inside the car, I mentally thanked my husband for sending the same driver as the other day.Otherwise, I wouldn't be as comfortable as I was right now travelling with him.
As the car moved towards our destination. My heart beats only increased.

Glancing again at the watch wrapped around my wrist, I huffed irritated.Maybe she decided not to show up-I thought.Looking up at the crowd, I saw more people filling in.All guests were almost here as they enjoyed themselves.

The employees and the working staff were all dressed in their best of clothing as they freely chatted off enjoying the refreshments.I plastered a smile on my face as men came and shook my hand but I was far interested in conversing with them right now.
Moving forward, my eyes swept over again to the wrist watch and to my feet then.My jaw clenched seeing her still not here.I turned around ready to find Bashar but then it happened.A feeling that halts you and pushes you towards the thing you had been waiting for.A feeling when you know that they are here.A force pushing you towards your destiny.
I halted for a second. My foot stopping midway.Turning around towards the large doors I saw the fairy walk through the doors.I had sure seen witches but the woman that just walked through those doors was a fairy basked in black.
She had the power to make me melt.To soften me.To destroy me.She was destroying me.Physically and mentally. She bore holes in my walls, reaching towards the restricted black heart.
She was destruction.
My downfall.
And only mine.
From all the people between us, I could hear her wild running heart. Her rugged breathing. Her nervous shivering, as she glanced between people trying to find someone.
Me.
My heart stopped looking at the most beautiful creature before me as she fiddled on her place.Walking through the crowd of people, I climbed the five steps towards her.Seeing her eyes widen as I moved close to her.
Her red parted lips puffed out breaths making me hold her cold hands as I now stood before her.
"Hey, relax-"I whispered despite the soft music playing in the background. She closed her eyes tightly, hiding away her deep grey orbs.I softly rubbed her small hands with my larger one, trying to warm them up as they had turned cold due to her nervousness and anxiety.
"Just Relax,Amal. They are gonna be some flashes so just smile at the cameras. No one would say anything to you.So don't fret over silly things."I whispered yet again as she nodded her head,
"Okay."She whispered back.
Taking her hand in mine, I walked down the steps as flashes came from everywhere.Their boss's wife was here for the first time after all.
Wrapping my arm around her waist, I pulled her closer.Seeing the woman gasp loudly making a smirk to form on my face. She shyly turned her face away from me looking around.
A few people came to introduce themselves, mainly the heads of various departments, Sikandar was out of city otherwise Amal would have been more comfortable. They greeted Amal warmly making me internally proud as how they respected her.
But Amal was far from being warm just now.As the woman shivered in my arms now and then.I noticed her high heels making her look a few inches taller as she reached my shoulder.
"Amal-"A feminine voice called out making me turn to look at the woman who waved at my wife.Amal seemed happy to see Rhea as she called her over.Turning to me she silently asked for permission to go with her eyes.
And I looked down at her, not wanting to let her go just now.Leaning towards her ear, I whispered darkly,
"Don't spend all the time with her-"The woman remained silent as she stared at me with her large grey eyes and I let go of her waist.
I smirked as she smiled looking down at her feet and walked away to the group of women what invited her over.

Amal
He leaned so close that my breath hitched in my chest. His warm breath hitting my ear from the layer of my scarf.I stared at the handsome man shocked.
A smirk curling his lips.As he tilted his head boring holes in me.Truely among a crowd of men he stood out.His handsome features making heads to turn around. As the women and girls looked dreamily at him, wanting to get his attention while he held me in his arms.
He was a heartthrob without a doubt. But I had taken quiet long to look at him.
His dark strands were styled backwards as no strand fell on his forehead as they usually did.His sharp jaw covered in a light stubble that suited him well. The black blazer was matched with a white shirt making his charcoal eyes look more attractive.Alluring.
Taking a deep breath in, I broke the daze and moved away from him walking towards the woman who looked beautiful in an Emerald fancy dress that stopped just below her knees. Her skin glowing with the contrasting colour against it.Her hair were pulled in a bun above her head. Her makeup wasn't minimal this time and she looked like a hollywood actress on Red Carpet. Her dark lipstick adding more attraction towards her face.
With high heels, she walked and met me halfway, embracing me warmly.
"Hey-"She said looking at me up and down.
"Hi."I said smiling at her.
"You look beautiful, woman."She said. Her light brown eyes widening.I mentally cringed at her words but forced a smile.
"Thanks. You look gorgeous yourself."I complemented making her wave her hand off.
"Come.I'll introduce you to my colleagues. They are already loving you."She said pulling me to the group of women.
As she introduced me to all the women, I smiled at everyone.Their welcoming natures made me a little more comfortable.Glancing around the large hall, I noticed all the beautiful decorations and the people around.
The large crystal chandeliers that hanged from the ceiling brightened the large hall. The antique pieces here and there added more to the beauty. The carpeted floor beneath our feet matched well with the light coloured walls.Various expensive painting of London City hanged on the walls.Table was set on the sides for the refreshments corner.A dance floor was made in the centre of the hall, as men and women danced close together on the soft tunes of the music. The lightening in the hall was also due to the fairy lights that were decorated on the railing of the spiral stairways that remained behind the dance floor as people on the first floor too enjoyed themselves.
Everyone looked pleased and happy. As they chatted off in groups.Laughter and smiles were being exchanged. The woman besides me laughed loudly, placing a hand on my shoulder and in return I smiled. Not knowing a word she had said and then laughed on.I hadn't listened to a word she said.
Turning towards me Rhea pulled at my hand,
"Come on upstairs.I'll introduce to my best friend."Nodding at her.We excused ourselves from the women before going up the stairs.
Rhea's friends was as sweet as her and as talked to me for sometime. My feet hurt from all the standing but I didn't show it off.Rhea and her friend wanted to go to the bathroom they asked me but I declined politely.Telling them that I wanted to go downstairs, the two women walked off in the direction.
Once they left and I took the first step alone. My body shook as the voice filled loudly in my ears.
AMAL..
AMAL..
OH DARLING! YOU ARE HERE.
LOOK THAT MAN WANTS TO HAVE A CLOSER LOOK AT YOU -
WON'T YOU WANT TO SAY HELLO TO HIM-
AMAL, YOU CAN'T RUN AWAY.
I pressed my hands against my ears.My eyes glancing around, looking around afraid that any minute from now he would jump out from anywhere and get me.Then we would torment me.
Looking around the unfamiliar faces panic rose in me as I made my way to the stairs. My throat drying and my mouth wanting water desperately.

I moved my eyes for a second to listen to something Bashar said and she was gone.Shaking my head, the turned back to the group of men.
Bashar excused himself escorting the men out as they needed to attend somewhere else.Shaking hands with them, I looked around for the waiter, beckoning him towards me.Ordering him to check the dinner arrangements, I let him walk away.
Turning around, my eyes caught the woman who looked as if she had seen a ghost as she made her way down the stairs. Her eyes flickering now and then around the people.
Her eyes probably finding me.But I waited for her to notice me.Find me.Among so many people that were looking at her.She was searching me.
Her eyes scanned the hall before her eyes settled on me.I folded my arms across my chest staring at the woman amused. She looked relaxed as her eyes clashed with mine and she made her way towards me.
When she walked, everything halted.Everything, everyone froze.Heads turned around to look at her.Men, women they all praised her glorious form. Some envious, some jealous but she remained oblivious of it all, as her only destination became my path.
She only looked at me.
While everyone looked at her.
Holding up her skirt she walked in her high heels gracefully as if she had modelled for a magazine for years. But again she wasn't just anyone. She was Amal.
Stopping at an arms length, she breathed out.Looking close in her eyes, I could see something was wrong.Frowing, I pulled her closer by wrapping an arm protectively around her.Hiding her in my cocoon. She didn't protest but look behind us, as if she was expecting someone to be there.
"Amal- whats wrong?"I asked looking at her lost self.
"Huh-nothing."She said but her eyes didn't stop.
"Amal-"I warned turning her face towards mine by gripping her jaw lightly.
"What s the matter?"I asked again, a little with force so that she could utter what was disturbing her.
"Did someone say something to you?Did they misbehave-"
She cut me off by leaning closer to my ear, and whispering as if she said it out loud, someone would kill her.
"Is he here?"Her innocence and vulnerability made my heart melt and my once tightened muscles loosened.
"No sweetheart.I am only here. And no one else."I spoke softly seeing her large eyes stare at me.Slowly her breaths normalized and the panic in her body subsided. She averted her eyes and breathed out as if relieved.
To divert her mind I asked,
"Do you want to dance?"
Way to go Arsalan. This is most stupidest question you have ever asked her.
Amal looked up at me strangely, and then looked around before slowly shaking her head.
"There are so many people and I don't know how to dance. Its better that I don't embarrass you more."
She fiddled with her clutch and looked down.Making me nod my head understanding her comfortability.
"Lets go then and enjoy the buffet."I said pulling her along with me.Because God, I was famished.
Walking besides her I said to myself,
Oh Darling I atleast deserve a dance and tonight I was getting it.
Mrs Amal Arsalan Khan this night wasn't over just yet.
