《My Alpha (My Alpha Series Book 1 boyxboy)(under revision)》Chapter Twenty- Progress

A smile decorated my face as I thought of what was to come in two days.
His words replayed through my head over and over again. I felt like I was in a movie and the moment felt absolutely perfect. I had been waiting so long for him to say those words. "I-i love you too." I replied as my cheeks warmed. I placed my hand on the back of his head and pulled his face towards mine, clashing our lips together.
A knock was heard and we separated. "What?" Ryder groaned as he repositioned himself to where he could see the door and in walked a very tall man with shoulder length blonde hair. Just the sight of him made me cower into Ryder's arms and scare the living daylights out of me.
When he saw how close we were, his face turned up into a grimace of disgust. And when Ryder saw the man, he sat straight up as they stared into each other's eyes. I looked closely at the man and could see the resemblance in the two, making me think that maybe this "man" was Ryder's father.
"May I talk to you," the man said as he took a deep breath, "son?" Ryder looked shocked and didn't make any attempt to erase the surprised look off of his face. He looked between me and his father before nodding his head.
"Can you leave us alone for a second, Noah? It'll be quick." Ryder asked me, quietly. I glanced at his father before saying 'ok' and walking out of the room, making sure not to come in contact with the man who helped give birth to the Almighty Ryder.
I walked out and closed the door tight before going on a search for Riley. I was walking down a hall when I saw his tall figure in the distance. "Riley?" I called and once he heard his name, he turned around and a huge smile spread across his face. He ran down the hall in slow motion In a silly manner and wrapped his arms around me when he reached me, swinging us back and forth.
"Noah! I've missed you so much!" He exclaimed, playfully, as he gave me one last squeeze and put me down, leaving a smile on my face. He looked at me with a questioning look before motioning me to follow him. He waited until we were outside before he decided to say a word.

"How are you handling everything?" he asked. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and looked down at his moving feet, occasionally glancing up at me.
"Good, I guess. I think I should go back to school though. I bet Sage misses me and I can't even imagine how my mom must feel. Should I go home? How-" I started but he cut me off as he raised his eyebrow at me. "Sorry." I apologized when I realized I was rambling on.
"What is it?" he asked but I only gave him a questioning look . "You always ramble like that when somethings bothering you, so what is it?" It was scary how well he knew me because he was exactly right. The only thing I didn't understand was Ryder's dad and the stare down they were having. Almost like they were having a silent argument in their minds.
"What's the story between Ryder and his dad?" I saw Riley flinch in the corner of my eye but decided not to think much of it.
"Uh well Its nothing really. It's just-" he paused and took a deep breath. "Ryder's father, Hunter, recently found out that his son and Alpha, is gay and let's just say he's not that happy about it."
"Oh." I looked down at my feet and couldn't help but feel bad for causing whatever happened to their father and son relationship.
"Don't sweat it, though. He'll get over it. Besides, he doesn't really have a choice." He offered me a smile and I did the same. The rest of the walk was pleasant as we talked about going back to school, friends, werewolves, and Ryder.
When I got back to the clinic, I decided to check up on Ryder and just my luck, he was alone- and standing in front of an open window. His body was filling out again and I didn't realize it until now. "You look healthy for someone who just came out of a coma." I stated as I approached him. He turned around and smiled. When I was close enough, he placed his hands on my hips and leaned down a little to kiss me as I went on my tip toes.
"Can we talk?" he asked and I nodded my head. He sat down on the nearest, green couch as I layed my head on his lap and stretched out. "So, I know a lot has happened these past weeks and I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I know you've been through a lot and I apologize." His hands combed through my hair as he stared down at me. I tried to shake my head and tell him not to be sorry but he stopped me.

"I also just wanted to say that the full moon is coming up again and my father just brought it to my attention. I'll probably just go on a trip so I don't-" But I cut him off and sat up straight, placing my finger on his lips to shut him up.
"I'm ready." I stated and continued as he tried to object. "I don't care what you say. I'm ready. I want to- I need to contribute just as much as you do. I'm ready, I promise, Ryder." He pulled me to his chest and held me.
"No." I pulled away from his chest and rested my hands behind his head, our noses practically touching as I straddled his lap. "Let me take care of you." I kissed him before resting my head on his chest and listening to the reassuring beat of his heart. I had to convince myself that everything was alright and that my Ryder was still here.

"So, you're telling me that you want me to help you plan a sex retreat for you and Ryder?" Riley asked the next day as we walked onto the school campus.
"Exactly. Now remember, we're doing it in two days." I reminded him before his eyes went wide and he covered his ears. "You're so dirty minded. I didn't mean it that way." but he didn't hear me as he walked off while yelling 'la la la'.
Before I knew it, my ears were being abused by a high pitched scream as I was tackled to the ground. "Noah!" someone - Sage- yelled as she stayed on top of me and hugged me to death. She eventually let go and helped me stand up, before socking me in the arm.
"Ow, what was that for?' I asked as I rubbed my arm.
"For leaving me and not answering any of my calls." she said as she had a serious look before pulling me into another bone crushing hug. "I missed you so much."
"Same."
Her overwhelming positive energy brought a smile to face and I couldn't help but feel grateful for her presence.
The rest of the day was the same routine- enter a classroom, get tackled by friends, and so on but don't get me wrong, I wasnt bothered by it at all. I actually enjoyed the attention this time. After school, I allowed myself to go home for a couple hours before packing up, visiting my mom, and heading back to the pack house.
The minute I stepped in the infirmary room, I was pinned to the wall and I was looking up into inhuman, yellow eyes. "Mate." Ryder said as he stared at me with hungry eyes. He started to place kisses on my jaw and down my neck before he was roughly pulled away by Riley.
"Sorry, it's getting close to the full moon and it's getting hard to keep his wolf under control. He was practically waiting for you by the door." Riley informed me as he tried his best to keep Ryder and his wolf back. I'll admit it, Ryder did look kind of hot when his wolf was going crazy for me.
The more I stared at him, the harder it got for me to stay away and it felt weird to be so attracted to him like this. It sort of scared me because I had never wanted him as bad as I did now.
As if he could hear my thoughts, he pushed past Riley and came back to me, pinning me between him and the wall, again. He was close to kissing me before he was pulled back again. "Noah, go. Even I can smell your arousal and it's making me really uncomfortable." Riley said as Ryder fought harder. I looked at Ryder once more before snapping out of my trance and walking outside and into the pack house.
A smile decorated my face as I thought of what was to come in two days.

8 119Vast Asleep
The story of Kingard the Binder in the aftermath of Broken This short story is the epilogue of Broken, the second book of the Chronicles of Mother's Gate series. It’s a great follow-up to the novel, a bonus story that adds extra layers but is set apart from the full-length narrative. Vast Asleep follows the story of Kingard, who finds himself caught in a world called Mother's realm, bathed in glowing light but strangely stuck in place. He encounters his greatson Varyan there, and learns that his experiences are likely dreams. As he grows more accustomed to the loving realm around him, Kingard remembers fear and trepidation about the face of the world, and he loses contact with his companion. This story answers the question, Is Kingard really dead? with a tentative no, and new mysteries brewing. It also raises the question, What's happening while he's awake? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Ride Awake, about Kingard's situation with the Colkh'rak. Praise for Tales of the Known World Bookends: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great! The difference between the epilogue and prologue is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing. The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact. And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well. -- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★

A new life for Gwen. One that begins up a tree, hiding from a monster. The world of After was supposed to be a sanctuary from a reality in which the sun is destroying the planet. National leaders mashed together a dozen video games and added the ensuing virtual reality to a cryogenics system big enough for a billion people. And then shot the lucky minority into the void on a space ship. This was the best plan they had. Only, it turns out there are monsters in After that want to destroy humanity too. And as a Half-Elf Hunter, Gwen has found herself in the middle of a hoard of them.
8 77Two And A Half Deadmen
Silver-Spruce is a very strange and very haunted town. Ghosts inhabit its buildings and walk its streets. Some of them friendly and sane. Some of them not so much. Alder helps ghosts. Helps them fulfill their last requests so they can move on to whatever comes next. Sometimes the ghosts aren't so friendly and have to be moved on by force. Alder does that as well. And he's gotten rather good at it too. After a particularly rough exorcism, he finds himself following a strange ghost to a local tourist attraction. And while Alder never means to find himself caught up in chaos, monsters, magic, and mayhem always seem to have a way of finding him. You want more specifics for what you're reading? Here you go: This is Urban-fantasy but a little bit of a different spin. Often the protagonists in such stories tend to be the bigger fish in their world, or at least far from small fry. Be they legendary boogie men or badass wizards (which is in no way a bad thing, I love a lot of those stories.) But I thought it would be fun to have a protagonist who's far closer to the bottom end of the scale. He has some magic, and it's potent in its own way. But he isn't the big dog or a fighting machine. Outside of his bubble of influence, our protagonist is essentially a normal human as far as powers are concerned. And while you should be warned that this story will get dark in some places it's (hopefully) balanced out by humor and the lighter stuff. I'm not sure how to end this synopsis section so I'll just say bye. Bye!
8 109The Practitioner of Deceit
Victor Santos the Daemon Practitioner will become evil. Hellspawn. A true supervillain. At least, that's his goal. After forming a contract with a demon named Taro (which he doesn't remember doing), he gains the use of true demonic ability. Due to circumstances beyond his control, however, all his nefarious plots end with his city hailing him as their local hero. When his talents as a Practitioner are required by not only his former mentor, but also his arch-nemeses (read: best friend) Rohan the Roseaic Practitioner, Victor must put aside his personal goals and repay the debt he owes. As luck would have it, however, Victor may have the opportunity to become what he so desperately desired after all. *All illustrations drawn by the author*
8 173Legend of Lunos [Dropped]
The Lunos clan was once the reigning clan of the Demons but because the younger generation's weakness to light was growing stronger for each generation, their power waned as the once proud Vampires were forced to disappear from the world. Regarded as demonic fodder, the Lunos clan became nomads who wander the world seeking refuge. But the land of the demons is large and many dangers lurk within the shadows. -------------This is a reincarnation story. The prologue is to let everyone know that I will be writing this story as well as to expect the next chapters.
