《After the kissing booth》And Dan's your uncle (or not)

Elle's POV
As they pulled out of the parking lot Elle saw the Flynn's getting in their car. Noah and Lee both looked broken. She looked at her uncle who was driving the car. He looked scruffy. He was unkempt and messy. His car smelled like tobacco. His hair was a mess and his bear gut showed especially when he slumped at the wheel.
"So, what's your name?" Elle asked.
"Dan. Uncle Dan."
"Okay." Elle fidgeted she barely knew this man who was taking her back to his house. He pulled the car into an alleyway, parked it and turned to face her.
"Alright Elle, so here's how it going to go. You are my property you will not leave the house and you will satisfy me when I ask. Got it?" A maniacal look crept onto his face to replace the stressed one he'd had before. I have to call Noah!! She reached for her phone but he caught her wrist.
"Bu-But my Dad he was your brother I'm your niece!" Elle pleaded. He laughed.
"I'm not your real uncle Elle." He hit her across the face and she fell into darkness.
Noah's POV
Noah was crushed. He couldn't talk. His mouth was too dry. Elle was gone. He wouldn't ever get to see her. He knew he probably would when she came over to see Lee and them, but he still had this creeping feeling that the kiss outside the adoption Center was the last he'd get from her. He texted Elle after she left. She hadn't answered. She always answered when they were together. His fingernails dug into his palms as he balled his fist tighter. His mom turned to face him in her seat.
"Noah hun I know it's hard to let her go but we have to. She's with family now."

"We are her family." Lee said wiping away tears with his arm. Their mom sighed and turned back around in her seat.
"I just don't get it." Noah heard his mom say.
"Her Dad never said anything about a brother, to me or to her mother."
"Maybe they weren't talking even then." His dad suggested.
"No but he said they stopped taking when they found out they were going to have Elle."
"The legal papers were legitimate, and he looked like Rob." Noah's dad said.
"I just don't get it, something feels off. I don't know what but it feels off. It doesn't feel right." Noah let out a dry laugh.
"Really, we're about to take her in and some uncle out of the blue shows up and whisks her away. What part of that would seem right in any situation?" Noah said this with no emotion in his voice. The pain he was feeling was radiating off of his body like light from the sun.
Elle's POV
Dan took her inside his house. To Elle's horror there were six other girls there, naked, and afraid. Two of which were pregnant. He took Elle's hand and chained it to the post all the girls were tied to.
"Now stay there until I feel I need some fresh lovin." He said with a sick grin on his face.
Silent tears fell down her face.
"Noah." She whispered.
"Help me."

Synergy
Dear Inspector, Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from being a Player. Hey! Laugh all you want, but I had to try. With no rules down here, who's to say that I can't resign? Anyway, my reasons are simple: I'm neither a gamer nor a hero. You got the wrong person for the job. Sure, the pay is decent and I could pretty much live like a king if, you know, I wasn't so busy trying to survive. I have major concerns about the demonic dagger bound to my soul too. Come to think of it, I've never asked to be transported to this fantasy land either and would like you to return me home, thank you very much. I don't want supernatural powers, I don't want to complete quests after quests, and I don't want to be your test subject anymore. What? I'm not whining, you're whining. Stop making excuses and let me leave already. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you'll find a better replacement after I'm gone for good. Sincerely,Randel, the Mad Painter What to expect from Synergy: --> Some GameLit elements are presented subversively. If you want the protagonist to “play the game” properly, this might not be the story for you.--> No filler chapters; the story's structure is already plotted out. It's going to have six story arcs.--> Character development happens slowly, over many chapters. Don't expect a perfect protagonist right off the bat.--> Some romance, but it will never be the main focus.--> Humor and dark elements in equal measure, but not to the extent that I’d label this story as “Comedy” or “Grimdark”. ... and lots and lots of Author's Notes. See you on the other side of the portal!

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.
