"Officer"I let go,speaking for both Ethan and I. "We don't know,this is her boyfriend and I'm her best friend. She went out and never made it back to our dorm ,that's all we know",I say...well,I lie. "And as her best friend and boyfriend,you guys didn't think to ask her where she was going?"the officer asked. "She sometimes likes to go on walks and such at random times ,to clear her head,so we thought maybe that was it. And when I found her here at the lake ,it made sense"I cover up. The officer squints his eyes,suspecting. "Alright well,thank you for your time. Your friend will be okay. In the mean time ,why don't you two go back to your dorms,we've got it from here"the officer says.

Ethan and I begin to walk off ,making our way towards the cafe. "Thanks for speaking back there,I know I kind of froze"Ethan admitted.

"Look" I say stopping my walk and standing in front of Ethan. "After today,you have no permission to see,speak,or even look at Rebeka,okay?"I sassed. "Or What Jessie? I care about her too you know"Ethan says. "Yeah,I'm sure the bruises and scratches scream love. I know what you've been doing to her and it stops now!"I say yelling at Ethan. "Lower your voice"Ethan whispers. "What? Now you're embarrassed? Well let me just get it through your thick skull ,that Beks felt the exact same way. Every hit,every negative word,was embarrassment to her"I say.

"Hey!Jess!"I hear Alex's voice as he rushes towards Ethan and I . "What are you doing with this guy?"Alex sass'. "Nothing ,we -we found Beks"I informed Alex. "That's great Jess! Where is she?"Alex says with the biggest smile on his face. "She was rushed to the hospital,we found her near the lake,but she'll be fine. I'm sure they'll just be running a few tests on her and she'll be out by tomorrow"I say .

"Well do you know what happened?"Alex asks me ,letting go of that big smile. "Let's just say,she took something she shouldn't have"I say. "Right,well what is this guy doing here?"Alex says staring Ethan up and down. "Doing something you should've done,being here for your girl"Ethan sassed. I couldn't help but gasp,that was a pretty decent comeback. "You a-hole!"Alex says before giving Ethan a good shove. "Hey! Hey!"I yell out ,standing between them and stretching my arms out. "Seriously ? Beks just went to the hospital and you two are going at it like idiots,calm down"I say ,having enough of these two's drama.
