I walk into my dorm room with tears streaming down my face,nonstop. I feel like I'm stuck and I don't know what route to take. I want Alex but I can't leave Ethan.

"Hey hey,"Jessie says gently. "What's wrong?".

I couldn't help but just cry on Jessie's shoulder. She hugs me and rubs my back in comfort. "This is too much to handle" I say. "It's okay,it's okay" Jessie repeats.

"So what are you going to do?"Jessie asks. "I'm not sure,I don't want to turn to the police,I don't think they'll be much help,and I can't tell Alex the truth,he'll get into it with Ethan"I say. "Beks,you're not helping yourself here,you've got to do something, this is serious"Jessie stated. "I'll wait a couple more days and if anything gets worse then I'll turn to the police"I say. "Beks he was physically abusing you and now he's mentally abusing you,when the hell are you going to get help? When you're found dead!?"Jessie yells.

"Look,I got it okay! Thank you but I got it under control"I say. I breathe heavily after my statement and ponder the outcome of me staying with Ethan any longer.Although,I was distracted by the thought of Jessie speaking to me.

"Wait...you're not mad at me anymore?"I asked Jessie. "Yes I'm still mad at you,but I seen how bad you were hurting and knew I had to help".

"Jess,you didn't have to,I really didn't deserve that" I admitted. Jessie shrugs her shoulders. "Well listen,I'm sorry. I really am,I was just filled with anger and felt the need to get you triggered. I know that was terrible and I know an apology won't fix anything but like I said I truly am sorry Jess".

"You're right an apology won't fix anything but knowing that you didn't mean it does. I get it ,I've been there,saying something I know hurts the other person and, I forgive you"Jessie says. "You and Alex are really something else"I say with a smile on my face. "Come here"I say opening my arms for Jessie to come in for a hug.

"I love you so much Jess"I say as our hug becomes tighter. "I love you to Beks". "And hey just for the record"Jessie says letting go of our hug. "I'm okay with you and my brother dating,well that is after this whole thing with Ethan is over"Jessie says with a gentle laugh.
