After running around for a while trying to blow off some steam. I finally came to the river. I went over and took a drink from it then laid down with my head on my paws.

I must have dozed off but I was awoken by the sound of a twig snapping. I shot up instantly looking in the direction that the sound came from. I let out a low growl in warning at whoever it was.

Suddenly Marcus came walking out from behind a tree and said, "whoa Alpha! Down killer it's just me."

He walked over and sat down beside me. He chucked some rocks into the river. I just laid my head back on my paws.

He spoke up finally,

"So what happened? Why did you run off?"

I scuffed at him. "You saw what happened!" I responded through the mind link.

"He had his arms all wrapped around her and she was just clinging to him like a fucking leech!" I yelled in the link

"Hey man, it might not be what it looks like. Maybe they were just good friends." He said.

I just huffed at him and turned my head back towards the river as I laid my head back on my paws.

Sure didn't look like it and it sure didn't feel like that was all it was. If that's all it was why did it hurt so bad I thought to myself.

It's happening all over again. He doesn't want a male as a mate. He's clearly into girls. He had his arms wrapped around her. And she has legs that are actually useful unlike mine, I thought.

"Come on man, let's head back. There's only one way to find out what's really going on." He said.

I huffed at him and he just chuckled at me.

"Asshole!" I said to him which made him laugh more. These damn idiots always seem to find amusement in my torment.

Coming back into the pack house I hear voices coming from the lounge room to the left so I head over there.

I take a deep breath, bracing myself on what I'm going to see.

However what I saw wasn't what I expected to see. When I went in there I see the female is sitting on Xander's lap. He has his arms wrapped firmly around her and his face buried into her neck while she's giggling. Aiden is sitting on the couch across from them chuckling at them.

Okay now I'm confused....

I cleared my throat and everyone looked my way. Well except Xander he still couldn't pry his face out of her neck. Her face turned red, she must have got embarrassed by the predicament she's in.

I looked over at Aiden and he gave me a soft smile. I finally snapped out of it.

"Would someone cared to explain what's going on?" My voice came out a little harsher than I intended which made Aiden looked down into his lap quickly and start playing with his fingers. I cursed at myself for scaring him.

The girl sitting in xander's lap finally pried herself away from his clutches and bounced over to me. Boy this girl seems bubbly!

She stuck her hand out to me and said, "hi my name is Abigail, I'm Aiden's sister!" I just sat there looking at her shocked for a moment. Aiden's sister? I thought to myself.

She looked down at her hand that was still extended toward me, then back at me. As if asking if I was going to shake her hand or not?

I finally snapped out of it and shook her hand. She gave a bigger smile at that.

"I didn't know Aiden had a sister." I said.

She looked over at him and said "yeah, he said he doesn't remember me. I've been looking for him ever since we got separated. It's been so long I thought I would never find him."

"How did you get separated?" I asked.

She looked down as the smile left her face. She started playing with her fingers and quietly said, "I think we should talk about this a little bit later."

That made me a little uneasy but I given the circumstances that they just found each other, I guess it can wait a little while.

Deciding to try and change the subject I said, "so what's going on here with you and Xander?"

Xander popped up off the couch with a big Goofy grin on his face as he walked over and slipped his arms around her waist, pulling her back into his chest.

He then proudly exclaimed, "I found my mate!" With the biggest smile on his face. Her cheeks blushed.

I swear this guy looks goofy smiling I think, chuckling to myself.

"Wow that's wonderful, congratulations man!" I said.

"Yeah can you believe it, I finally found her!" He said as he picked her up and took her back to the couch and plopped her down on his lap.

I looked over at Aiden and he still had his head down. I let out a sigh and went over to him until I was right in front of him.

He seemed to tense up a little bit and I leaned forward and gently cupped his face. He slowly looked up at me until we made eye contact and my heart melted. God I love him I thought to myself.

I said in a soft voice, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He seemed to relax at that and gave a soft smile.

I looked over my shoulder and said, "well, we should we go finish lunch."

Xander got excited.

Just mentioning food and he's all over it.

He flipped Abigail around so that she was straddling his lap, then stood up. Her legs wrapped around his waist as She let out a yelp at the sudden movement. He then proceeded to carry her into the dining room as she giggled saying, "you know I can walk!"

He slapped her ass and she gave another yelp. He said in a husky voice, "I know but I want to carry you!"
