It's been a week since I found out about Alexander's past. I am supposed to be able to use my powers now. I've been reading up on it. Jessica suggests to me that we should start to learn how to use my powers since The Battle is in a month and a half.

Jessica also Suggestion that I invited my parents to The Battle since it's one of the few days of the school year that parents can come. I found out this past week at practice with the group. I told my mom that they could come and watch. I found out she was planning on coming either way. The Battle is also happening the weekend before Thanksgiving. So after The Battle is going to head home with them. Since we get the week off. We can choose to stay at school or go home.

Its Saturday morning now and this is not what I thought I would be doing for the weekend. It's 10:30 Am, good thing I don't mind waking up early.

We are over at the training field that the Dragons practice at. We walk over to the field where no one is at. Jaz is letting us use the training dummies and some old equipment to practice my powers.

"Okay, first off do you know how to use your powers?" Jessica asks me as she puts mannequin in front of me. I have been studying how to use my powers for my Dargon side, but it's much more difficult than witchcraft is.

" Know the principals of it, but I have never tried to use it," I tell her as I watch her stand next to the dummy. " Okay, so for just right we will be forced on Poison and Dark powers right now and not Lighting since you are not allowed to use it during The Battle." She tells me as she smiles with her biggest smile.

" You know that you don't have to help me," I tell her as she starts to walk towards me. She had been studying up on The Battle with me. She was the one who insisted that we try to use my powers this weekend. I was just hoping that it would coom naturally as magic did. I am just glad to have Jessica as my friend.

" Well, the best type of powers to use is defense and attacked powers." She tells me as I start to think of different ways I can use my powers. Defense side I can use night vision, shadow camouflage, umbra-telekinesis, and Wave Emissions. Then on the other side, I have can try different attacks like blast or slash. There's so much to learn about this.

" Thomas, let's try something easy first. Okay?" Jessica tells me in a lovely way. She knows that I am a little overwhelmed a bit. Cause I have a whole team counting on the whole team to do well. I just don't want to mess up this. " um, we can try something on the defense side" I tell her with a half-smile.

"Um, I can try a shield of darkness," I tell her. " Okay, I am going to toss this form ball at you and you have created a shield," she tells me as she grabs a blue form ball out of a box. " Okay," I tell her. I try to remember what it said in the book. It said that I have to let my Dargon side out enough to help me control my powers. I don't really know what that means.

Before I can think of anything feel something hit me. I look down to see the ball next to my feet. Now I know what hit me. " Why did you toss it. I wasn't ready yet" I tell her as I sound a little upset. Everything going on has me a little stressed out. I think that's why I am upset. " Do you think the other team is going to care if you are ready. They will just pull off your patches." She tells me as she tosses another ball at me.

"Jessica!" I yell at her. As she looks surprised by me yelling. " What?" she tells me as she tosses another ball at me. "This is not helping. You, not even a Dargon. How can you help me." I yell at her after the ball hits me? It seems that she not listening to me cause she keeps tossing form balls at. She picks up another ball and tosses at me.

I catch the ball this time and I ripped it in half cause I am so pissed off. " Thomas you are supposed to use your powers," she tells me as I drop to the ground up to set.

Why is this so hard for me? I am just making a big deal out of nothing right now. I just need to man up about it. I guess I thought this would come easy to me. But I think I am just so overwhelmed with class, Dylan drama, the missing girl if I like Jonah or Mark, and The Battle. Everything mixed together has me stressed out. I just don't want to let down anyone.

" Thomas is everything okay?" I hear Jessica ask me as she sits down next to me. " Am just a little stressed out?" I tell her with a fake smile. I Am trying to hold back a tear in my eyes. " Okay, Thomas don't lie. I know you too well" She tells me as she puts her arm around me.

"I don't want to let down any either. I just overwhelmed with everything as well." I tell her as she starts to rub my back and it makes me feel better.

" Thomas you need to stop thinking so low of your self. Listen am sorry for trying to help you with just tossing the ball at you." She tells me as she hugs me. " Am sorry for overreacting to this whole thing. " I tell her. After I finish telling her she pulls me away. " Thomas you don't have to apologize to me. Come we will try again tomorrow" Se tells me as we stand up. She puts away the dummy.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be better than today.

After last time end in a failed. It's understandable why I didn't want to practice the next day. But Jessica convinced me to go anyway. When I say convinced I mean forced.

" Do we have to?" I explain to her. "Well, you am a shit teacher. Especially since I don't know what it's like to be a Dargon."She tells me with a smirk as she put her arms on my shoulders. She's hanging her body off my shoulders. " Yeah?" I tell her. "Well, I think to have another idea to find out how to use your powers.

We are walking up to the training field where I see Liam, Wyatt, Mark, and Jeb waiting in the field. I look over at Jessica with a confusing look. "What are you guys doing here," I ask them stunned by this. I walk over to the bleachers to see them talking to each other.

" Well, Jessica thought it would help you if I taught you how to use your powers since I am a Dargon," Wyatt tells me as he's putting on some leather gloves. " Liam's going help me to," He tells me as I look over at Liam and he's putting on leather gloves too. Am I supposed to have gloves on?

" then why are you two here?" I ask Jeb and Mark. " We are here to cheer you on," Marks tells me with his Australian accent and his big smile. " I thought knowing that your friends are here with you will make you feel better," Jessica tells me. This makes me really happy that she did this. She always looking out for me.

"Whoa, thanks Jessica," I tell her with a smile. "Of course," She tells me as she gives me a big bear hug. "You ready Thomas?" I hear Wyatt ask me. I turn around to see Wyatt and Liam. "Yeah," I tell them.

" Okay, so we are going to work on defense first. Since it's easy then attacking." He tells me as he passes me a pair of leather gloves. " What are there's for," I ask them as I put them on. " It makes it easy to control your powers," Liam tells me with a smirk.

It crazy that I and Liam are in the same year but he already has this down.

" We are going to start with something simple for Dark powers," Wyatt tells me as he stands behind me. " We are going to try Night Vision," he tells me as he gets closer to me. He hasn't really explained to me what I need to do.

"How exactly?" I ask with a bit of an attitude. " Oh yeah, you have to be connected to your Dargon. So close your eyes and call for your Dargon." Wyatt says to me as I get in front of me so I can see him face to face. So all I have to do is call for him.

"Alexander?" I call out loud confused. " You have to say it with confidence, Dark and Poison are some of the hardest to learn so don't get down on your self," Wyatt tells me as he puts his hand on my shoulder and rubs them. I think he's trying to get me to calm down. " You can do this" I hear Liam tells me as I look over at the bench to see Jessica and Jeb smiling at me.

I then look over to see Mark's mouth something to me. I think he said you got this. Then he gave me a thumbs up. I close my eyes. This gives me the conference to call for him again.

" Alexander," I say firmly to him. I open my eyes to not see anything know. But when I look at Wyatt gives me a big smile. What could he have a big smile?

I hear my Dragons sarcastic voice tell me. "We can hear each other thoughts again," I think to my self.

He tells me in his hash voice. " Umm, I didn't miss you." I think to him as a joke.

" You're ready Thomas?" I hear Wyatt ask me. "Yeah, I am," I tell him. " Okay first thing you need to is either to say or think of what you want to happen. So you will say your Dragons name and then say what you want to happen." He tells me as he gets closer to me.

" So I'll just say my Dragons name and what I want to do," I ask Wyatt. I guess it is that easy then. " Well, I suggest thinking it cause if your opponents hear you then there can find a way to block you," Liam tells me as Wyatt nods his head up and down in agreement. So I need to think about it. I close my eyes.

" Night Vision, don't forget firmly," Wyatt says to me as he steps back. Okay, all I need to do is think. This should be easy. "Night Vision?" I think to my self. Nothing happens. " I know you can hear me," I think again for him to hear me. I know why now it's hard to master Dark and Poison since the Dragons are hard heads.

I just need to say it firmly as Wyatt said. "Night Vision," I think to myself as firmly as I can. Nothing. Great I just have to keep trying.

Alexander tells me. I guess it worked then. I open my eyes to be blind by the light. " Ahh" I scream as I close my eyes quickly.

Ohh, he makes me mad sometimes. But it is true I am not sure what we were thinking about. " Sorry Thomas, we should have thought about that" Liam says to me as he laughs. I am going to kill them.

"How do I make it disappeared?" I ask them as I have my hand cover my eyes. " Just tell your Dragon stop Night Vision," Wyatt tells me with a smirk still on his face. " That's easy said than done," I tell him. Only if they know how my Dragon acted.

" Stop Night Vision," I think to Alexander.

He says to me in a girly voice. He couldn't be any more think headed. " Please?" I imagine him again. I open my eyes to see everything is back to normal. I see Wyatt and Liam in front of me smiling. They can tell that it worked. " Go Thomas" I hear Jessica and the rest of my cheerleaders yell at me.

I then look behind Wyatt and Liam to see a boy walking towards Wyatt pissed off. " Who's that?" I ask him as I point to the boy walking towards him.

When Wyatt sees the boy coming toward him, his face drops. " Shit," He says out loud to us. The boy makes his way over to him. " Wyatt, what the fuck are you doing." The boy says meanly to him. The is smaller than then all three of us. He has dark skin and how he walks I can tell he thinks highly of himself.

" What do you want Ethan?" Wyatt asks him as he releases a sigh of disappointment. I guess this boy's name is Ethan." Why are you helping the competition?" He says rudely to him. " Cause he needs help and he's my friend. Why does it matter to you?" Wyatt tells him as he rubs his temper? " This is my first time on the team and it's my senior year. I won't lose cause you are helping people. " He says as he tries to lunge himself on to me. I move out of the way before he can jump on me. He's not that fast.

I look over to the right to see Mark running towards me with Jeb and Jessica behind her. Ethan tries to get off the ground before he can Wyatt hold him to the ground. " That's it is done with your attitude and what you've been saying to other teammates. You're off The Battle team, get out of here." Wyatt tells him as he lifts him off the ground and shoves him.

Did I just get him kicked off his team? I know I feel really bad. " That is it am going to tell my parents on you guys. " He tells us as he runs off. "Whoa, he's an interesting person," I say to them as he's out of earshot. " Tell me about it. Are you okay?" Wyatt says as he walks back over to me. " What his deal?" I ask them as Jessica and the rest of my cheerleaders come up to me.

" That's Ethan Larsen. His family is on the Dragon Council" Liam tells me. " So he thinks he owns the place even though our family is also on the Council," Wyatt adds on what Liam said. I didn't even know Liam and Wyatt's parents were on the Council.

" Hey, you okay?" Mark asks me as he comes by check on me. " Yeah am fine," I tell him. " What jackass" Jessica announces to everyone. " What his issue?" Jeb asks. He wasn't there whenever Wyatt explained it.

" Don't get me started, come, Thomas, we should get started again. If you want to know everything for using Dragon powers before the day ends. " Wyatt says to me. Oh, I didn't realize this may take all day.

" Good luck Thomas," Mark tells me as he, Jeb, and Jessica walks away. How Mark said it sound like he truly meant it.

"Okay, we are going to keep looking on defensive and then we can move on to attacks later," Liam tells me. It's like 11:30 am. This may take all day to get done.

After spending all day using my abilities. I think I got this down pretty well. To the point that I can start practicing on my own without help. Well of course with Jessica though.

" Well, Thomas I think you got it," Wyatt tells me as goes to pick up Liam from the ground. Towards the end, he, Liam, and I had been attacking each other to practice.

I look up at Wyatt to see his eyes go from dark blue into light blue. Then I look over at Liam to see his Orange eyes change into green instead. I can tell there sent there Dragon side away.

" So how do you tell your Dragon to stop?" I ask them. Wyatt's face lights up. " Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that. Just say your Dragons name and then go away." He says to me as I close my eyes.

" Alexander go away. Please" I think to him.

He tells me as I can feel my eyes change colors. Back to my brown eyes. " Thank you so much," I tell them as I go up to Wyatt and Liam and hug them. " Of course man, don't be afraid to ask for help," Wyatt says to me as he walks away. " Same" Liam tells me as we both walk over to the bleachers.

When we get there Mark is the only one left. " Where did everyone go," I ask him as I take off my gloves. I meant to give there back to Wyatt but I forgot to. " Well, Jessica said she wasn't feeling well. She just left about 20 minutes ago. Jeb left about an hour ago. He went to hang out with Lucas." He says to me as stand up and stretch out.

" Jeb and Lucas have been hanging out a lot more. Are there dating." Liam asks us. " Am not for sure" I tell him. I honestly don't know for sure. But there have been hanging out for a while now. "I know for a fact Lucas has a crush on Jeb," I tell them. " Makes sense," Mark tells us.

I pull out my phone to see 7:54 Pm. " Wow, we were out here for a long time," I tell them. I kinda feel bad now. That I wasted there day for me. " Yeah, I am starving," Liam says to us as he grabs his stomach. "Come on then. Let's go to Cafeteria and get something to eat before it closes today." Mark tells as we start to sprint towards the cafeteria.
