《HIS ALPHA》our lune.

"It has to be perfect!" I tell Jonathan and he sighs, "I'm not a party planner, that's Elsa's job," he says and I roll my eyes. "Whatever, I still want this to be perfect," I said as I cross my arms. "Let us take care of this ceremony Alpha," I turn to see Elsa and Stella with a small army of teenage girls.
"Uh, okay?" I say and I walk out of the auditorium with Jonathan by my side. "Can we check some stores out? I need to find a dress for today," I ask my Beta and a bitter look came on his face.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask him and he smirks. "Your face is hurting my eyes. I can't look at it for too long," he jokingly says and I smack his shoulder. "Asshole," I mutter and we walk into a boutique.
"Hello Alpha, Beta, I've been expecting you," Angela Cross, the owner, exclaims. "I assume you already have our outfits Mrs.Cross," I reply with much amusement. "For both of you and our Lune," she says and she hands Jonathan three suits.
I bring out my credit card but she slaps it out of my hands. I look at the elderly woman in shock. "Forgive me Alpha Aella but it's on the house," she says and I smile. "Don't be silly Angela, let me pay," I tell her and she shakes her head. "I insist Alpha," she told me kindly and I give her a hug. "You're getting front row seats then," I tell her and she jumps in excitement.
I pick up my card and we said our goodbyes.
"I wonder when you'll meet your mate," I told Jonathan and he shrugs. "I'll leave it at fate's hand," he says and I groan in annoyance. "Fate, I hate it," I mutter as I climb into my car.

"You look so hot," I whisper in Adonis' ear after I eye him in his suit. "And you're beautiful," he tells me, making my face heat up. Damn, you make me soft. We enter the auditorium and I felt each of my pack members here, I felt safe. I can't wait for my mate to finally connect with them.
"I've never seen this many people in one room before," Adonis admits and I laugh. "Our pack is pretty impressive," I brag, making him chuckle. We walk on the stage and he stands beside my father and mother.
Jonathan stood beside me as we stand in the center of the stage. I watch as the last wolves enter and sit before I smile at my pack. "River Eclipse," I start and I felt my heartbeat fasten. I see Angela and she gives me a smile. "As you know I have found my mate and as of right now the full moon is taking place," I cue, and the ceiling had opened, revealing the bright moon.
"He will take full responsibility to take care of this pack as our Lune. He will untie members old and new and he will show his commitment to this pack through our best and our worst," Jonathan says before taking a step back.
I walk up to our pack's scared goblet and Adonis stands on the other side of it. I look into my mates eyes and I grab his hand. "Do you, Adonis Accardi, accept full responsibility to love and care for this pack?" I ask him as my mother hands me a knife.
"Yes," he says and I cut into my right palm and then into his left. "Then you are now Lune of River Eclipse," I said as we press our cuts together, letting our blood drip and mix in the goblet, showing that he is now my equal and now officially apart of this pack.
The audience howl in respect and they praise our Lune. I press my lips against his and we part. "I love you," I whisper and he smiles. "I love you too."

"Does this mean we can't talk shit through the mind link anymore?" Jax asks no one as we enter another room. One that Elsa, Stella, and others decorated really nicely.
I glare at my brother but he smirks, "Let's test it, just in case," he says and I scoff.
"You look like a monkey," he tells Adonis through the mind link and I shake my head. "What's up stud muffin?" Elsa says through it as well and I laugh. "Don't fucking call him that," I say seriously and Elsa wheezes.
"I can hear you guys," I hear Adonis say through the link and I look at him proudly. "Finally," I mutter and he pecks my forehead. "Lala," I hear my nephew and I look at him. "Yes, Bub?" I ask him and he opens his arms, I pick him and we sit at our table. "You look pretty," he says and I smile. "And you look super handsome," I tell him and I kiss his cheek.
I could've sworn I saw him smirk at Adonis before I hand him to Jax. "That kid hates me," Adonis tells me and I pout. "No...he just strongly dislikes you," I tease and he laughs. "I see," I grab my phone and I hand it to my mother.
"Take a picture of us mom," I tell her and she smiles. I look at my mate with a smile and he looks at me with such love, ugh, he makes me melt.
Adonis and I look at the camera and I hug him. "You two are so cute," my mom coos and I hear my brother fake throw up. "You're so mature Jax, it's amazing," I tell him sarcastically and he dusts his shoulder. "Thank you," I roll my eyes, he's so annoying, I swear.

Adonis and I walk out of the shower and I grab one of his shirts, quickly putting it on before drying my hair. "Did you know my family left when we were at the auditorium?" Adonis asks me as I hang up my towel.
"They're not coming back?"
I would hate to say this out loud but...I really wanted them to like me.
He swiftly picks me up and we fall into our bed. "I'm not sure," he whispers and he was about to kiss me but my phone chimed, telling me I have a message. I grab it and I look at the number, instantly knowing who it's from, my heart stops.
"What's wrong?" Adonis asks me and I notice that I had my fists clenched. I look at my mate with anger in my eyes. I ignore him as I grab my sweats, putting them on in a flash. "Aella," Adonis calls out my name as I leave the room.
"What's going on?" I hear Jax ask and I walk towards the stairs. "What the hell are you doing?" My brother asks me before I threw my phone down the stairs. "The hell is wrong with you?" Elsa asks and I run my hands through my hair.
"That was a bit dramatic," I admit and I look at them. "A bit?" Adonis says and I lick my bottom lip. Should I tell them? The only person who would fully understand would be Jax.
I close my eyes and I mind link my brother the message. I look at him and he clenches his fists. "Who sent you that?" He asks in a growl and I sigh. "Jacob," I mutter and he looks at me in shock.
"Is anyone going to explain what the hell's going on?" Elsa asks and I sigh tiredly. "I don't even know."

Nero Zero
Monsters plagued the lands for too long. No matter if one had fangs, beak, teeth, skin, fur, or feather, or was tall, stout, or diminutive, the people suffered. Until the Gadgeteers came with a device that could allow people to fight back. Powered by one's own magical power, feeding off of monster Essence, the Arbitrium bracer turned the tables. It also changed society. Strength of one's level cap was all that mattered. The strongest were Kings and Emperors. The weak or those too poor to afford the marvelous device, destitute. And so it has been for millennia. All that mattered was one's level cap. High, low, a fate decided the moment the strange contraption came alive. Too high and you were a threat to those interested in keeping the status quo, a weed to be nipped before it could grow and take root. Too low and you were nobody, fated to be a bit more than a simple farmer. What if someone, somewhere, came up with a zero for their level cap? Unable to use Essence, unable to level up. On all of recorded history, it never happened. Until it did. In a small village of fur-less and tail-less ape-beastkin, a boy found out he was uniquely handicapped. Nero's level cap was Zero. But he'd never let that stop him from reaching his goals. ------------------------------------------------ All stories have already been told. We merely reuse elements from them. From Joseph Campbell's Monomith to Stephen King's advice, and that encyclopedia of tropes you've visited, fiction has been dissected and reassembled countless times. One will surely find elements inspired on other works here. Just like cooking from basic ingredients, the recipe and presentation is what really matter. This is a fantasy adventure, of someone that goes from a zero to a slightly bigger zero. It will have romance but no harem. Cruelty but with hope dimly shining ahead. Lightweight where it can be, heavy where it must. Thanks for reading. Cover Credits (The cover is CC-BY-NC-SA): Steampunk Spider Bracer, by Daniel Proulx.
