The Alpha wants my mate. My mate!!

I can't help but let out the loudest growl that makes Alpha Alejandro bow down on the ground in submission.

No one, and I mean no one will touch my mate.

"He will not touch her. I will kill every last one of their members before I let them come five feet near my mate. My Luna will be protected." I say and he nods his head agreeing with me as he tries to stand.

"I can't thank you enough for coming to help us in this war." Alpha Alejandro says now standing and looking me in the eyes.

"I should be thanking you." I say causing him to look at me confused.

"If you hadn't shown up to my pack house I would have never met my mate, my Luna." I say not breaking eye contact.

"Once this war is over, I would like to marry your daughter and make her officially my mate." I say and the man looks like he's thinking about it. I'm ready to protest but a smile breaks out across his lips.

"You have our blessing. I knew Camila and you would probably grow up to be mates." He says making me grow confused.

"You don't remember?" He says and I nod my head no.

"We have a lot of catching up to do later." He says and I nod my head intrigued.

He dismisses me from his office and I leave to find Camila.

I follow her scent and I end up at her bedroom. I knock on her door and hear a faint 'come in'.

I open her door to see her sitting in her window seat looking across their yard.

"I'm sure my father told you." She says and I move to sit next to her on the seat.

"Yeah." I say making her brown eyes meet my own.

I could see how scared she was by looking into her eyes.

"I won't let him touch you. I won't let him take you, I will protect you Camila. I promise." I whisper moving my hand to caress her face.

She moves to straddle my lap as she hugs me tightly. I feel her bury her face in my neck and inhale my scent causing my wolf to stir at the close proximity of our bodies. I then feel her nose bump my neck causing me to shiver in pure ecstasy. I feel her lips come in contact making my body ignite.

It's taking everything in me right now to control myself. Camila somehow has self control and pulls away to rest her forehead against my own.

I brush our noses together before opening my eyes to see her awaiting brown ones.

"You are my mate, and soon to be my wife and Luna. I will die before I ever let anyone hurt you." I whisper and I see her eyes shine and glow at my declaration, letting me know her wolf is also with us.

"I always wondered growing up if I would ever get a mate. I wondered what she would be like. And the moon goddess exceeded all of my expectations. I would have never dreamed to be matched with someone as beautiful as you. And I can tell from our interactions today that your inner beauty is even greater." I say causing a blush to form on her cheeks.

"Your parents mentioned that they knew my family?" I say causing her to nod her head giving me a small smile.

"They were actually really great friends, best friends even." She says causing me to listen intently.

"Why don't I remember you from before?" I ask confused and a sad smile graces her lips.

"After the trauma of losing your mother, they said you shut down and had a mental breakdown. You had actually slept for days on end and no one had ever seen anything like it." She says making me try to remember.

"My father never told me about any of this." I say trying to put the puzzle pieces together that are shredded to nothing.

I feel Camila place her hands on my cheeks trying to calm my racing mind. And with her touch I instantly melt and my eyes meet her own.

"It's okay, don't over work your mind baby." She says making me calm my breathing and racing mind.

"We were best friends as pups." She says causing me to look at her amused face.

"You couldn't catch me then, and you still can't now." She says with a playful smirk causing me to raise an eyebrow.

"Is that so?" I say challenging her causing her to giggle and smile so bright it makes my heart race.

"Yes. We would always run off, it was really you chasing me to the waterfall we were at earlier. It brought so many memories back." She says smiling but it soon turns into a frown.

I place my hands on her cheeks making her eyes meet my own. I bring my lips to hers and attach them in a sweet gentle kiss.

"I'm sorry I don't remember any of this. And I'm sorry that you lost your best friend for more than ten years, but I'm never leaving your side again." I say with so much passion I feel my heart beat out of my chest.

She gives me a small smile before getting lost in her thoughts again.

"I have no idea what it was like for you, but I know what it was like on my end. Not understanding why my mother was taken from me and why my father left me with one of the pack elders for most of my upbringing. Why I was so alone and why my heart hurt so much." I say feeling the lump reform in my throat.

I try and hold my tears at bay because my father always said the strongest Alphas never cry.

I feel Camilas hands place themselves on my cheeks again as the tears leave her eyes.

"I'm so sorry you went through so much at a young age. And I'm sorry your father abandoned you after you already lost your mother. But it's okay to be vulnerable with me, it's okay to cry." She says making me hold my tears in for a few more seconds until they cascade down my cheeks.

She pulls me by my face into a passionate kiss and we both feel our tears intermix on our lips as they move in synch. And as were kissing I can't help but feel my heart start to heal itself from all the heartbreak I've endured.

When we pull apart I tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ear causing her to smile.

"I love you." I say causing her eyes to widen but a smile appears on her lips.

"I know it's like really soon, but your my mate. The first moment our eyes locked in your yard I knew. I was born to love you Camila, and I'll do it forever." I say making her blush but grab me by my neck and pull me into another passionate kiss.

We pull apart when air becomes an issue and I get a mind link from Cameron.

It's time.

"Where do you guys normally go when someone attacks?" I ask making her eyes widen in fear.

"We normally go to the safe house. But that's across the land on the other side." She says growing anxious and I grab her hands.

"I want you near me." I say causing her to look at me shocked.

"You don't have anything to worry about. I'm going to have my best guards with you and your family." I say making her worries ease.

"All you have to do is say my name and I'll be there in an instant." I say caressing her cheek causing her to nod and close her eyes at my touch.

Cameron mind links me again and I know we have to go.

I stand up and hold my hand out for her to take. She grabs it immediately. I pull her body flush into mine and hug her tightly. I revel in her scent and kiss the side of her head before she grabs me by my neck and pulls me into a passionate kiss.

When we pull apart we discard our clothes and shift. Our wolves trot out of her family's home side by side. She stays close to my side and never strays. I look ahead to see my pack, Hansen's, the Cabello and another pack on their side. They all bow their heads as Camila and I trot by them to the front of the line where Alejandro stood across from who I assume to be the Alpha wanting my mate. I watch his eyes sparkle at my mate with drool coming from his chin causing me to growl loudly and it booms through the land making all wolves bow further down. He cowers but tries to fight and stand tall. He looks old as fuck. His brown fur looks like shit and I want to rip his throat out right here.

Camila nuzzles her snout into my neck making me lick her head.

He had his pack behind him and what looked like another pack.

We have the numbers and he doesn't.

Cameron, Harley, Graham, Christian, and Zyler all come to our sides. Camila knows it's time we part ways and she nuzzles herself into my neck. I do the same back to her and lick her face in reassurance. My best fighters lead her back to her mother and sister who are heavily guarded by Alejandro's best guards.

I turn back towards the Alpha who thinks he has some claim on my mate. I stand taller as I move menacingly towards him. He cowers at the sight of me but tries to stand tall and look unbothered.

Soon enough we're face to face as I tower over him. Alejandro moves back knowing that this is mainly my fight but doesn't move from my side.

"Alpha Y/N. I've heard stories about you but I thought they were all myths." He says through our open link.

" I'm Alpha Matthew Hussey from the Blood Moon Pack. I've come to take my mate. We don't need to fight just hand her over." He says and I snarl at him baring my sharp teeth and growling so loud everyone whines.

"Camila is my mate, and my Luna. She does not belong to you." I snarl at him causing him to bow down but stand up as he attempts to fight against my dominance.

"Alejandro owes me. My family helped aide his pack years ago." He says making me grow even more angry that he thinks he should get whatever he wants.

"You cannot force someone who isn't your mate to be yours. That's not how it works and you know that." I growl lowly.

"She will be mine, and I'll do everything I can to make sure of that. And I'll mount her right in front of your corpse." He says and that's when I saw red.

I lunge at him striking him to the ground. My eyes go black and I know the beast inside of me has been unleashed.
