*Chapter 40*
~ years later
"Hey, could you quickly sow this? Roy needs it for today," Zaron tossed me Leroy's apron in hurry.
"What? I don't even know how to sow. Besides, I'm already late," I complained. He should have given it to me earlier.
"You know how to sow skin, Quentin. Fabric is no different." What kind of argument is that? "C'mon I'll drive you, so be fast."
"That idiot could've told me yesterday," I complained. "But no, it has to be in the morning."
"Roy, stop playing around! Finish your food and put your shoes on!" Zaron rushed him while I was busy sowing his apron as quick as possible.
"Okay done," I sighed in relief, put it in his bag and made myself ready to go. "Are you coming?" I frowned once I opened the door.
"Yup," Roy skipped out immediately followed by Zaron who still had to grab the key to close the door. "Ready to go!" The little one got in the car as soon as Zaron and I got in.
"I'm also going to pick you up later," he decided while he started driving towards my school. "Anyway, about yesterday, what did you say should the color of our suits be? Red and blue?"
"Yeah about that, I changed my mind. Let's keep it classic with black and white," I glanced out the window.
"Are you sure this time? You already changed your mind like three times."
"Well it's not easy. I want it to be perfect. What about looking for inspiration later?" I suggested. But he just shrugged like he didn't care. "Hey Roy, you want to come, too?" I glanced at the distracted boy who was busy drawing houses on the window with his finger. "Roy?"
"Hm yeah?" He turned to me with curious eyes.
"You want to help us decide our wedding suits?" I repeated. His eyes widened as he eagerly nodded.
"Oh, but Finn is coming over today," he said with a frown.
"Huh today? When were you planning to tell us that?" Zaron was surprised just as much as I was.
"Uh today?" He shrugged.
It was silence for a few seconds where Zaron briefly stared at me before fixing his eyes back on the street. "I think your habits are rubbing off on him. You are definitely bad influence," he shook his head.
"Hey that's not true!" I disagreed and pouted when I glanced back at Roy. "Finn can just tag along, okay?" He nodded.
Not much later and we arrived. Therefore, I quickly got out, grabbed my bag and closed the door. Though before Zaron allowed me to leave he pulled the window down and called me back. "You forgot the good bye kiss," he smirked.
I chuckled and turned back with a smile as I bend down for a kiss but stopped right before my lips could brush his. "You wish," I whispered. "See you later, cutie pie," I waved at Roy who just giggled.
"Tse," I could hear once I turned around, but I still didn't turn back being the bad ass I was.

"Quentin, do you have my pen?" Lola asked while looking for it on the table, raising books and shifting folders to check.
"Your pen? Oh I guess, I confused it for mine." I quickly returned it back to her.
"Are you okay? I mean, you are here but it somehow doesn't feel like you are." She was quite sharp to notice details. "What are you thinking about?"
"My wedding," I said.
"What?! You're already marrying?" Melvin gasped in shock. "But weren't you proposed to just recently?"
"Uhm Melvin?" Lola glanced at him with narrowed eyes. "Are you stupid?" She was inspecting him like she was looking for the cause of his stupidity. "Or are you just blind?"
"Well I don't pay a lot of attention. There are a lot of people out there wearing rings for fashion," he justified.
"To answer your question-" I rested my head on my hand and glanced at the ring. "I got a marriage proposal five years ago."
"What? Five years? That means you must've been... uh nineteen. Damn your boyfriend was too eager," he shook his head.
"Actually I was eighteen," I corrected.
"That's even worse. Do you know there is a three years dating rule before getting a proposal," he raised his fingers as he tried to lecture me.
"Oh come on, that is just clishe," Lola rolled her eyes before focussing back on our previous topic. "So tell me, what's wrong with your wedding?"
"Do you know how difficult it is to plan and organize it?" I groaned. "It's like... like the decision of having two of your favorite ice cream flavors in front of you but you only have enough money to buy one." I put my books away since I couldn't concentrate anyway.
"Then why not mix them?" Melvin suggested. "You can have both and it's still in your price range, right?"
"Mix?" I frowned. But my eyes widened in an instant when I considered it. "That's it!! I could just do a little bit of both! Mel, you are a genius!"
"Of course I am," he laughed.
"Huh? I don't get it what was it now that you were worrying over?" Lola frowned.
"Our suits, I couldn't figure out the color and style of our suits. Did you know that the theme can be depended on the colors you use?"
"It's kinda cute the way you are worrying about such a little detail," she chuckled. I just crossed my arms and sulked. It wasn't just a mere little detail. I wanted Zaron to look as good as possible and of course I wanted to look my best for him, too.
I sighed and laid my head on the table in exhaust. "Wedding stress is not to underestimate."
"What are you even still doing here? Your last class just ended, if I'm not wrong," Melvin wondered.
"Yeah Zaron was actually going to pick me up today." But for some reason he was being suspiciously late. "Maybe I should c-"
And before I could finish my sentence, a loud honking sound interrupted me that drew the whole attention towards itself and thus mine, too. "C'mon baby, we've gotta go," Zaron called me over.

I just rolled my eyes grabbed my bag and shook my head. "Wish me luck, guys." I waved them good bye and hurried to Zaron's car. "Was that revenge for this morning?" I smiled as I got in.
"Maybe," he shrugged.
"Hey Roy! Oh Finn, how are you?" The little red haired guy smiled shyly.
"I'm fine," he blushed. Ugh, such a cute little marshmallow. He's just like a marshmallow. Too much cuteness, is not good for my heart.
"Look what I did today," Roy eagerly raised a picture in the air where himself, Mira, Raven, Zaron and I were all drawn, together with the names printed above them. "We did the letters with potatoes, that was so cool!"
"Oh wow, you did great you. When we get home we definitely have to frame it, okay?" I beamed.
"Removing the paint off their faces was not so cool though," Zaron commented. I guess that is why they took so long.

"Do you still want to keep it classic?" Zaron question as we entered the shop.
"Nope, I have a better idea. But I'm still looking for the right color." It was slightly overwhelming seeing all these different variations of suits that I became even more aware of how hard it would be to make the decision. "Hey Zaron, would it be okay for you to wear a black suit for me?"
"Everything you want," he nodded as I smiled.
"May I offer some help?" The shop assistant approached us all of the sudden, causing me to jump a little.
"Oh yeah, we're looking for a black suit for him," I pointed at Zaron.
"Of course, if you want we can take the measurements first while you can take a seat or look around if that is to your liking," he started. So, that is how Zaron left while I took a brief look around as the assistant suggested and also searched for the two boys who had immediately ran off when we got in.
I just gotta make sure that they weren't causing anything. That's when I heard some giggling in the corner where you could find most of the accessories. "Hey, I hope your not destroying anything," I made sure before I saw Roy and Finn both wearing a bow tie around their neck. "I see, you are enjoying yourself, huh? Do you want to wear these to the wedding?" I kneed down to them. Finn had chosen a blue bow with red dots while Roy got himself a red one with blue dots.
"Yes, can we get them? Please," Roy pleaded with puppy dog eyes.
"Yeah, if you want." They jumped in joy and gave each other a high five when Zaron called me. "Don't break anything, okay?" I warned them before returning back.
"What do you think how do I look?" Zaron asked as he was wearing a the typical black suit and tie with a white shirt.
I smirked at him. "Damn, why is it the first time that I see you in a black suit. You look hot."
"So, are we taking it?" he grinned.
"Nah, I don't like it," I shook my head. "It's too shiny."
"Then should we go ahead with the next one?"
"Yes, please!"
And directly after Roy's voice appeared as he was calling for me. I immediately got up, worried that something might have happened. But once I got there, I was a little confused since everything seemed to be fine.
"What is it?" He was holding a suit in his hands that was definitely not meant for kids. "Hey put that back," I hurried over when he shook is head.
"Nooo! This is the suit we chose for you!"
"F-for me?" I frowned and took a better look. It was a very light blue almost mint green. "This is..." My eyes widened when I grinned, scattered Finn's and Roy's hair, causing them to complain. "This is sooo CUTE. Oh my god this is perfect! Let's show this to Zaron."
"Oh good thing you are here. I really like this one. What do you think?" Zaron was looking at himself in the mirror once I noticed him. But the sight of him simply made me speechless. My cheeks filled up with heat when he turned around, facing me with a smile. "What?"
"Uh you- you look really good," I bit my lips.
"Hey, are you getting red?" What he said caused me to blush even more. "Naw, baby." He stroked my cheeks and pressed a kiss on my nose. "Don't be so adorable."
"I'm not," I waved him off and held up the suit in my hands to distract him from my face. "There, I want this one."
"Sorry to interrupt but this still needs a bit of tailoring corrections," the assistant pointed out. "B-but you could still try it on. I promise within a month it'll be wearable."
"Yes than let me try it on. And I want to have a black tie with it," I insisted.
"You sure know what you want now, hm?" Zaron chuckled.
"Yeah it's cause we picked that out," Roy raised his voice to get some credit.
"You did? Well if it looks good and we'll decide to take it, I promise you can get some ice cream on the way home," Zaron made sure to thank them.
"But we want to get burritos!" And before I could listen to their discussion, the assistant guided me to the changing rooms and helped me to try it on.
"Is it to your liking?" The young man asked me. But I was too speechless, seeing something so unfamiliar on myself. "Can I take that as a yes?"
"Do we have a bow tie in this color?" I changed the subject.
"Not in particular but it wouldn't be an issue to make one. It's just the prize will add on to it," he explained.
"I'll take it." I nodded. "It's just... just amazing."
And with that, it felt like I got a step closer to my dream.
