I was walking to school with Neji, like usual. He was venting about taking over his family business. He stopped talking after he finished about five minutes. I had to ask him now.

"So, you have the Byakuugan?" I ask him,

He glances over at me quickly, then back in front of him, "Yes.. What's it to you?" he retaliates. That wasn't a good start.

"I just wanted to know if you've ever used it," I lie, I could care less, but it could be useful in the long run.

He squints his eyes at me and then responds to my question, "I have not, there isn't a necessity of using it, and besides, what good will it do me?"

Just as I thought, "Aren't you curious?" I ask him, trying to tempt him.

"Well, I've always wanted to use it, but I've never had a reason for it," Neji informs me,

Perfect, "You know about the Sharingan, right?" I ask him. He has a curious expression on his face, not a good one.

"Yes," he answers. "Well, I used it the other day, and I followed my string. I found my string cut off at the end, though," I tell him.

His eyes widen, "But! The Uzumaki's are dead!" he exclaims,

"That's what I said. Look, how about you use the Byakugan on me?" I ask him,

He stays silent for a minute giving it a thought, "What's in it for me?" he asks nervously.

"I want to find my soulmate, you, want to try out the Byakugan. It's a win-win situation,"

He stays quiet for another minute before stopping in his tracks and facing me, "I'll do it. Meet me after school in the schoolyard,"

I smile and stick out my hand for him to shake, "Deal?" I ask him,

He hesitates before taking my hand and shaking it, "Deal.." he mumbles.

Perfect, "Well, let's get going, I don't want to be late for school again," I say as I start walking towards school, which was just another block away,

Neji snaps out of his daze and runs after me.

A/N I need some motivation to continue watching HxH, like the beginning of the Chimera Ant Arc is so boring.
