《His Red Eyes {SasuNaru}》Chapter 2

A fluke? It couldn't have been one. The strings never lie, no malfunctioning with them either.

I looked at my right to get the front view of the large and famous Uchiha manor. The house was as modern as you could imagine it, the windows were made so you could see out of them but no one could see inside. There was a fountain out in the front, and a driveway around the entire fountain making it a one way drive in and out.

I thanked the driver up in the front seat and got out of the sleek black car that belonged to my family.

Walking up to the gate, all that was going through my head was how the strings could be wrong. They couldn't, or could they? What if I don't have a soulmate? That didn't make sense, everyone has one.

I open the door and take off my shoes and place them on the shelf along with the rest of them. As I walk farther into the house I realize there was only one thing I could do about this entire situation.

I look up to see someone watching the news on TV while typing something on their computer at the dining table. Their perfect posture as there slender hands typed ever so quickly, it made it difficult to keep up with them.

The only person that could answer my predicament, and that person happened to be my mother.

-----------------------

"How was school, Sasuke?" she asked with her usually kind and gentle voice. "Fine," I replied blandly.

She nodded and went back to work. The reason I'm asking my Mom and not Itachi, is because I got the Sharingan from my mom's side of the family, Itachi never got his because their is also the fact that there is a 75% chance that you'll actually get it.

She stopped typing and glanced up at me, "Is something the matter?" Well, it was now or never.

"Mom," She looked at me curiously, I always avoided unnecessary conversation, "Is it possible to find someone's string, um, unattached or cut off?" I said as I sat in the chair beside her.

I was expecting the slightest bit of a reaction, but I got none. She closed her computer and stared off ahead of her,

"I thought they all died off? Maybe they didn't, who knows?" she said, nonchalantly,

I had a confused look on my face, what, did she mean, 'they died off'?

She gave a small chuckle looking at my expression, "I should explain, shouldn't I?" she said, getting up from the table and picking up her computer,

"Meet me in my office in 5 minutes, I'll be waiting," she said as she walked out of the room and into her office.

Well, that was worrying. Most of my worst memories were in that office, whether I got shouted at for a bad grade or something else.

I got up from the table and walked to her office with the tall black doors that always made me scared,

I took a deep breath, I hesitated to open the door, but after a minute, I plucked up the courage and opened it.

A/N OK I DECIDED TO USE MY BRAIN FOR ONCE AND I USED SYMBOLISM IN MY CHAPTER. The black doors symbolize Sasuke's fear of the office or something like that I really don't know. I really sound like an ELA teacher.
