"Ha! I win again," Koko yelled in Tiesha's face.
"Yes!" She continued screaming.
"How did I end up with a goat-like person?" Tiesha mumbled.
"Cos goats and sheep flock together," she replied.
"Did you just call me sheep?" Tiesha looked at her.
"Bitch you called me a goat."
Tiesha rolled her eyes as she dropped the game console. "Time for nails," Koko squealed.
"Me first," Tiesha said.
"Why do you hate Ky'mon?" Koko asked as she filed her friend's nails.
"Ion hate him."
"So why you giving him attitude?"
"He's arrogant."
Koko paused and looked at her. "He's a thug, what is you expecting?"
"Thug don't make you arrogant, Lowe straight up thug but he's cool."
Koko shrugged. "Because he's your cousin. When we done, we goin to get lingerie."
"Why?" Tiesha frowned and Koko said nothing.
"You fucking huh?" Tiesha almost smirked.
"About to."
"Who?"
"Moneymaker."
"Bitch say what?"
"Uh uhn," Koko nodded.
"You damn serious?"
"He wants me to come visit, ion wanna go alone," she gave Tiesha puppy eyes.
Tiesha shook her head understanding what her friend was trying to say. "No."
"Tiesha, how you gon be like this?"
"I said no."
"Just avoid him huh?"
"How imma avoid the psycho nigga in his house?"
"You smart," Koko smirked at her.
"Ask the twins."
"Busy."
"I'm busy too."
"You jobless," Koko said nonchalantly. "And i only enjoy on weekends." She added.
You see, Koko was a kindergarten teacher. Yeah, it was still shocking to Motiesha as she didn't understand how her crazy friend could interact with kids but Koko has been working at the school for a while so Tiesha guessed her friend was pretty good at her job.
"We spending the night?" Tiesha interrogated her.

"How I gon seduce him in lingerie in the afternoon?" Koko rolled her eyes.
"Answer me before I change my mind."
"Yeah, we spending the night," Koko said calmly.
Tiesha sighed and shook her head. "What?" Koko was confused.
"Wondering how I ended up with your crazy ass," Tiesha responded.
"Oh I was eating candy and Lowe stole from me and I slapped his shit, he pushed me and I pushed back and we was about to bust our heads when you was like 'leave ma bwoda alone' and I was like bitch your bwoda stole my candy and we three was about to bust our heads when our parents came running to us and it turns out, our parents were best friends and we was neighbors."
Tiesha couldn't help but facepalm herself. "Bitch, don't be ruining my work," Koko smacked her lightly.
If Tiesha recalled well, that candy issue happened when they were four years old. They weren't friends until they clocked eight as they used to fight a lot.
Koko's father lost his cool one day and beat her mom to a pulp then Tiesha's father beat him up and he ran away after. Soon after, Koko's mom remarried a Korean man and they've been happy. She has a little blasian brother, Kofi-Sang but he's called Kofi for short, a one-year-old sweetheart.
Koko has got anger issues that were as a result of child abuse. At a tender age, Tiesha has been the only one who could calm her down and Lowe.
When they were done with their nails, Koko dragged her friend out of the house and into her car. "Koko, I wanna come," Kiesha whined as she came out of nowhere.
Koko pulled a face and Tiesha just sighed. "You've got a nasty mind," she said.
Koko only snorted. "Sure."
Kiesha smiled as she hopped in the car. "How's Mama B and Kofi-Sang?" Kiesha asked Koko.

"Good, he be clingy to me lately. Which reminds me, we gon pick him up after buying lingerie then we gon take him to the park."
"I miss that baby boy." Kiesha cooed.
They finally got to the lingerie store and Koko pushed Tiesha in. They were given a private booth immediately and the testing began. Koko threw a pair of stockings at Tiesha.
"Ion like," Tiesha said and Koko gave her a look.
"Too much strings," Tiesha added.
Koko brought out some matching undies and held out the pair to Tiesha who nodded her head as Koko picked it aside. She made Tiesha wear a fancy lace bra and panties then took a picture of herself in one. When they were finally done shopping, everything was loaded into the car then they made their way to Koko's house.
When they got to the house, Koko parked the car as Kiesha got down to go pick up the little boy. After a while, Kiesha came out carrying Kofi and some of his things in a bag then handed him to Tiesha after kissing his cheeks. The little boy smiled at Tiesha who kissed his cheeks and bobbed him on her lap.
"My cutie, let your sis know imma marry you."
"You too old," Koko said as she bopped his nose. He gave her a toothy smile in return.
Koko began to drive. "Won't you strap him in his seat?" Tiesha looked at her friend.
"The park ain't far and you can strap him with you."
"Careless," Tiesha muttered.
"I know," Koko replied.
When they got to the park, they all got out, bought some snacks and Kiesha left to go meet up with some of her friends.
Koko and Tiesha sat on a bench, just watching everything going on around them. The teenagers were under the tree and the little kids running around while their parents kept an eye on them.
"You see that girl?" Koko pointed at someone in the distance.
"She's pregnant again. Mama told me it ain't the same person and she's just fourteen."
"Girl, she got pregnant for her teacher this time. High school romance." Koko whispered to her friend.
"After she aborted the first one?" Tiesha asked with amusement in her voice and Koko nodded her head.
Kofi nudge Tiesha, a sign that he wanted to play so she set him down on the grass in between her legs and put his toys around him as she didn't want him to wander too far.
"So we leave by 6, we come home whenever tomorrow."
Tiesha nodded her head as Kofi stood up still in between her legs. He placed a toy on her thigh and began playing with it.
She broke cookies into his small cup and added enough liquid milk. She let it soak before feeding him slowly.
Suddenly, a shadow fell upon Kofi.
Tiesha looked up and saw Ky'Mon making her sigh quietly.
"Sup Koko."
"I'm good, how's money maker?"
"I see ya," he beamed at her before turning to Tiesha.
"You stalking me?" Tiesha asked him.
"Yeah, when ya gon tell me you got a child?" He looked annoyed.
"Never."
"Who's the father?"
"Not your business Ky'Mon."
"Fuck it, my woman's a baby mama." He was trying to create a scene.
"Damn Ky'Mon, give it a rest. Why you so possessive? I ain't even yours."
Kymon was going to say something when his phone rang. He picked it up without looking at the screen. "What?" He snarled.
"So?"
"Where?"
"On ma way," his face suddenly hardened.
"Imma be back, Lil mama." He said to Tiesha before walking off. Koko smirked at Tiesha as he left and Kofi made baby sounds asking for more.
Tiesha sighed as she prayed for strength to endure the rest of the night.

Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.

A Crone's Trade
Latgalay lusts for beauty, power. When her tribe’s raid is repulsed, and when a wizard counter attacks, Latgalay seizes power. But there is a cost: her soul. Setting is in an alternate reality during the Roman incursion of Britania. Latgalay is from an embellished tribe of Picts, there are Spirits, Magic, and some pretty dark shit. I wrote this one back in 2015, when I was in a completely different headspace. Like, seriously. Dark. I've gone through and edited some of the worst of it out, but the tone is still there.
