《AMOUR》Chapter 41.

Roya was the first one to enter her apartment, followed by Denver and then me. We asked her what she wanted to do today and she just wanted to hang with everyone so we made our way to their apartment. Dave will join us soon.

"What the fuck are you doing here?!" I look up and see Ian glaring at me, Anna looking confused next to him.

Shit. He doesn't know Roya forgave me.

We all stand there, our eyes wide. When no one says anything, Ian turns to Roya.

"Roya? Please tell me this is a joke?" His voice is louder, demanding and pleading at the same time.

"Umm.." Roya begins, scratching her head, "I kind of.. let it go?" she says, looking anywhere but at Ian.

"The fuck?! Why?" Ian looks hurt, angry and sad. I know he is going against me here but he wants to protect Roya.

"Ian.. please," Roya frowns.

"No Roya, he hurt you and you forgave him in two fucking days?" Ian looks at her like he cannot believe her actions, and honestly, he's not wrong.

"Ian, come on," Anna wraps her arms around him and send a look to Roya.

"I'll go make food," Roya says and rushes to the kitchen.

"I'll go set up a movie," Denver walks up to the couch.

I look back at Ian and see him glaring at me.

"Jordan," he motions me to follow him and moves towards the balcony. I follow him after receiving a thumbs up from Anna who then joins Roya.

Once I close the sliding door behind us, I turn back to Ian. He's looking at the view in front of us, arms crossed. It's still sunny outside but there's a breeze in the air, softening the sun's heat. I step up next to Ian, placing my hands on the warm railing.

"I never wanted to hurt her," I begin, not knowing what I should say.

"And I know I failed but I won't ever do anything that even remotely makes her sad," I continue when he doesn't say anything, "I know you're just protecting her and I'm glad that at least one of us is doing good at it but believe me Saunders, I will never hurt her again."

"I.. love her," I tell him, "not the kind of love you have for him, I love her, I'm in love with her," I open up and he looks at me, his face not showing his thoughts.

"Does she know?" he asks, emotionless. He's in his big brother shoes right now.

I nod at him, my eyes softer at the thought of Roya knowing I love her.

"Are you guys together?" he straight away asks.

"Y-" I stop myself. Are we together? Yes. Almost. Kind of?

"It's complicated," I tell him the truth.

"Does Denver love her?" he asks the question I never expected his to bring up and my eyes widen slightly.

He does.

I nod at that too.

"They're together?" he asks, trying to figure out the situation.

"It's complicated?" I give him another unsure answer, making him sigh as he turns back to look in front of him and I follow his actions.

"Just don't hurt her okay, I'm still not fine with her forgiving you and I'm keeping my eyes on you, don't fuck up again," his tone holds concern for Roya and hate for me and I know it's my fault.

I nod again and follow him back inside. I see Ian joining Anna and Denver on the couch, taking a seat between them, making Denver smirk and I go in the kitchen, leaning next to Roya on the island as she cuts Tofu.

"So, what did he say?" Roya whispers to me.

"Just made sure I won't hurt you again and that he's still not okay with this," I tell her.

"He'll take some time," she replies in the same hushed tone.

"I know," I nod at her.

"About the date," I start and Roya smiles, still looking down.

"Yeah?" she questions.

"Tomorrow evening?" I ask, my heart warm at the thought of treating her the way she deserves.

"I have work in the morning, but it works as long as you chauffer me," she smirks and I smile.

She's asking for something. Demanding more so and it's rare when Roya does it. It makes me happy that she's comfortable enough with me to do it.

"I'll even drop you at work in the morning," I say and she chuckles shaking her head.

"What do I wear?" she asks, finally looking me in my eyes as her cutting's all done.

"Just casual clothes," I shrug, tucking a hair that escaped her bun behind her ear.

"We can go directly from your work too," I tell her.

"Hmm, casual, I like it," she smiles and I lean in, my hand still on the side of her neck.

She quickly glances in the living room and then back at me, in one swift motion she moves forward, pecks me on the lips and moves back, turning to the stove to start cooking.

Just then, there's a knock at the door and I shake my head at her actions before moving to see who it is. Opening it, I see Dave and move aside to let him step in.

"You knocked?" Roya asks him as he heads straight to the kitchen.

"Unlike some people, I have manners," he tells her placing a bag next to her, "here's your ingredients chef."

"Thank you," Roya chuckles and gets to work.

The dinner was simple. A gravy tofu with rice and salad. It was still delicious. We had just finished eating while watching the latest Loki episode.

"Why do you go to makeup school again? Just open a restaurant" Denver asks Roya who is on the bean bag.

"Because I like it," she smiles and starts cleaning up. Anna and Dave help her.

"Please tell me there's dessert," Ian whines, stretching.

"Shut up and help," Anna smack him on the head and I laugh. He turns his head to me, shutting me up with a glare as I look anywhere but at him.

Once we're all back together, without any dessert, Roya speaks up while Dave scrolls through Netflix.

"Ian?" she looks at him.

"Yeah?"

"I was thinking of going home for a visit," she says in a small voice, now gathering all of our attention.

"Everything okay?" Ian asks, his tone worried and I automatically sit up.

"Yeah, no," Roya smiles, "I was just missing mom and dad and we have time till our break ends so I thought I could go for a week?"

"Actually," Anna raises a finger, she's leaning on Ian with her head on his chest as he plays with her hair, "I'll join you, I wanna meet my folks too," she pouts.

"I'll go as well then," Ian nods, smiling at Anna and then at Roya.

Roya looks at me, raising a brow.

"I can join too if that's okay?" I look at Ian. He nods and I relax.

"You guys should come as well," Anna says to Dave and Denver.

Both the brothers stare at each other first and then at everyone else.

"We don't want to intrude," Dave starts.

"Shut up, you guys are practically part of the group, it's time that you meet the heads," Anna chuckles, she has always been a little bossy.

"Well then I'll talk to coach," Denver says.

"Oh right yeah, I'll talk to him too," Ian adds in.

"And Jordan," Ian looks at me and I raise a brow at him, "you should talk to him too, join a team if you want to," he suggests and I smile.

"Let me know when you guys are going, I'll join in," I offer and he hums.

"Well then, that leaves the date, when were you thinking of going Roya?" Dave asks her.

"I haven't really decided that, whatever works with everyone?" she tilts her head in confusion.

"I think then we should talk to coach first and see what suits everyone from there on and you can ask Lana?" Ian questions her.

"Yeah, that works," she smiles.

"It's decided then," Anna sips on her water, "Summer end at the folks," he raises her glass and we chuckle.

"You guys are gonna love them," Roya laughs.

I see Denver and Dave share a look but shake it off. This must be big for them, meeting all our parents at once.

Summer end at home.
