《AMOUR》Chapter 9.

The morning after, I wake up at 6 because of work. I get ready and leave a sticky note for Anna and Ian.
I take the bus and head to the cafe. I open the door greeting Lana, my senior. The cafe opens at 7 and I usually start at 8. Lana comes in at 6, starting all the machines and mixing all the material. She heads home in between and comes back for a few hours in the evening to close the cafe at 7. There's more staff too, but during my shifts its just the two of us due to summer breaks.
"Morning Lana," I say tying my apron.
"Morning Roya," she smiles pouring someone's coffee order.
"What time are you in till today?" She asks.
"The usual, four." I say clearing us a little mess.
Our cafe is of a decent size and has a woody feel to it. There's a thing continuous table with high chairs that stretches on the both sides of the entrance and has a glass window view to the outside. A few tables with 2 chairs each on the left side and a couple brown coloured bean bags on the right side of the work station with is right in front of the entrance. The floor is wooden and there are ceramic pots with leafy plants around. The aroma of coffee and sweet snack hits you when you enter the cafe and light music keeps playing in the background. All in all, I'd say its a homey cafe. You feel peaceful here.
Lana nods and then we work. Soon, its four and I pack up my stuff. Jordan came in five minutes ago to give me a ride home when he got to know I took the bus here. I take two cups of coffee and brownies to the side of the long table he is sitting behind.
Just then the door to the cafe opens and I lock eyes with Denver. He smiles and moves towards me.
"Hey," he says and nods at Jordan who nods back.
"Hey, Brownies?" I offer.
"Whoa, these are good." He says biting into one.
"I know, I made them." I smile.
"Gotta come here more often then." He says.
"You only get them on the days I work," I chuckle.
"What's up?" I ask because he won't just stroll in here on a Sunday.
"I was in the area, thought I'd check the place out, didn't know you were working today." He says.
I was about to reply when my phone ring interrupted me. Ian. I apologize and pick it up.
"Yes Saunders." I say, Jordan smirks and I roll my eyes.
"We're going out to check this bar tonight, tell Jordan." Ian says.
"Yes boss, Denver's here too, I'll let him know as well." I reply.
"Cool, Dave already knows. Okay bye gotta go." He says and hangs up before hearing me reply. Typical Ian.
Denver raises a brow at me.
"We're going to a bar tonight, Dave already knows." I say.

Alright, I'll see you then." He says picking another brownie piece and nodding at Jordan who again nods back. I then realize Jordan didn't say a word since Den came in.
"Why so silent?" I ask him.
"Just enjoying my food." He smirks biting into his third brownie?
I smirk, we finish up and head out. He heads to our apartment with me because apparently he doesn't need to get ready, and if he needs something, he'll steal something from Ian.
We watch a few episodes of How I Met Your Mother, our absolute favorite and I send the details of the bar to Den and start getting ready with Anna around 7.
I wear a long-sleeve plain black sweater dress that reaches my mid thigh with black heels while Anna goes for a navy skin-tight dress of the same length with black heels as well. She does my hair and I do her makeup, like always.
We go out in the living room to see Ian and Jordan sitting on the coffee table. We roll our eyes and clear our throats.
"What are the couches for?" Anna says moving towards Ian and they look up from their phone screens.
Both of their jaws hit the floor and Anna and I smirk looking at their reaction.
Ian recovers and gets up, "this," he says kissing Anna and making her lean down on the couch.
"And that's our clue to get the fuck out of here." I grab Jordan's arm and pull him out of the apartment.
Jordan is still just looking at me in the elevator, saying nothing. I take that time to check him out. He's in the same black jeans and white t-shirt from earlier. Now he's wearing a leather jacket over it which I'm guessing is Ian's. His hair are messy as usual like he has been running his hands through it, he does that a lot.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer." I say smirking.
"Same goes for you Anderson." He smirks and I cannot help the heat that reaches my cheeks.
We step out of the elevator to find Robert talking to some other person with the same uniform as him. As soon as he notices me he smiles and we move towards him.
"Hey Robert." I smile.
"Hello sweetheart, you look beautiful as always." He compliments me and I smile in gratitude.
"This is Jordan, you remember him?" I ask Robert.
"Of course I do." He hugs Jordan. They met when we first moved here in the beginning and Jordan dropped us off officially. Yes. He came to drop us off in Vancouver from Toronto.
"This is Jax, the new guy our company hired for the night shifts." Robert motions towards the guy next to him and I smile at him.
"About time you get to go home at night." I tell him and he chuckles. Just then, Jordan moves his arm around my waist. I look up at him and see him eyeing Jax. And the overprotective side is out. Anna and Ian greet them as they reach us and we head out. We take a cab, not sure is someone would be in their right minds to drive or not.

Ian selected this underground bar in Gastown that he visited with his teammates. When we reach outside, we see Dave, Denver, Tyler, Roy and the others waiting. We walk over to them and Dave whistles.
"Ladies," he says taking our hands and kissing our knuckles. We laugh at Dave's gesture and Ian comes up behind us narrowing his eyes at him.
"They're like my little sisters." Dave raises his hands in surrender and we all laugh.
We head inside and take up the front of the bar right at the drinks, taking all the space with our large group.
"What shall I get you guys for the start?" The bartender comes up to me and asks since I'm in the center. Towards my left is Denver, Sasha, Julie and Ben. Towards my right is Jordan, Dave and Anna. Ian, Tyler, Roy, James and Ashton got bar stools and shifted them to make a circle instead of a long file.
I look at everyone so that they can order.
"I'll take your blue lagoon." Anna says pointing to the bar menu on the wall. I look at her and thank her through my eyes for speaking first.
"I'll have your beer." Ian says seeing all the brewery machinery visible through a glass wall.
"Me two." Tyler says.
"I'm driving, Virgin mojito." Dave says.
Jordan looks at me smirking. He already knows what my order is. He raises a brow at me and I nod smiling.
"Two 30s of Hennessy, one with water and the other filled to the top with ice." He says and smiles.
The bartender then moves to the other side.
"A beer." Denver says.
"Jack Daniels over hear." Roy says pointing towards him and James.
Sasha and Julie order sex on the beach. I know. Ben and Ashton order beers as well. The bartender nods and starts on the drinks.
We then order sides and starters and chat. Honestly, its better than I thought. The bar is neither too quite nor too busy, its just perfect with a few groups scattered here and there. At one point, Roy and Ben were dancing like a couple in the middle of the group when Ian challenged them. Even Sasha and Julie are nice. Ian and Dave click well together as well.
I was leaning on Jordan from my seat and kicking Denver's barstool with my heels. He was getting irritated, I could tell. He kept send glares towards me and I just chuckled.
"Trouble maker," I heard Jordan whisper in my ear and I shivered from his husky voice. He was still leaning next to me and I could still feel his hot breath near my ear.
Just then Denver caught my right foot in his hand and smirked at me. Tingles. Tingles were going up from my feet to my core. I didn't break eye contact with him. I don't know if all this heat in the air was from Jordan's hand moving up and down my arm or Denver rubbing circles on my feet or maybe the air conditioning wasn't working, maybe its the alcohol.
You had one drink you idiot.
Shut up.
I opened my eyes instantly, not knowing when I closed them, coming back to reality and saw Denver smirking. I placed my feet back on the foot rest of my seat and turned so that I wasn't making any contact with any of the two guys. My cheeks were turning red, I could feel them getting hot.
I was thankful when the food arrived. We had ordered pastas and pizzas and burgers and tacos, perks of having a huge group. I think someone even ordered just a dessert plate. After eating I excused myself to go to the washroom to clean my hands. Once I came out I bumped into someone and apologized immediately. I look up to see who it is and immediately regret my decision. He looks fine. Emotionless as always and smirking as if he knew I would bump into him. I wanted to hit him, scream, anything to take out the anger but I just walked away and his smirk fell.
Take that asshole.
I reach my seat and breathe since I forgot to do it while walking towards my seat. Jordan and Denver both turn to look at me confused why I'm breathing heavy. I look at Jordan and motion towards the washrooms from my eyes. He looks around the area for a while trying to figure out whom I was pointing at. When he finally sees him, his expressions harden. He looks like a time bomb. I hold his wrist trying to calm him down. I don't want to create a scene. Not here, not right now, not because of him. Jordan nudges Ian with his feet and motions in the direction.
"Ryan?!" Ian whispers with the same anger as Jordan's.
Fucking great.
Anna heard him and looks at Ryan, then at me. I give her a look saying ' calm Ian down' and she understands. I lean on Jordan's shoulder. He looks down at me and I shake my head. He understands and sighs kissing my forehead.
I turn towards Denver and mouth 'later'. He nods but still glances at Ryan trying to figure out what's happening. Since we were all done, we left pretty soon after that and I was grateful.
Dave offered to drive us all home since he didn't drink. He brought a seven seater just in case so him and Tyler take the front, Anna and Ian take the back and I take my seat between Denver and Jordan in the middle. First they'll be dropping off Jordan, then Tyler and then us. I think I dozed off five minutes into the ride on Jordan's shoulder because his hands in my hair and Denver's thumb rubbing on the back of my hand was all too confusingly calming.
