"Take care Anjali, I will miss you a lot", Rohan pulled me into a strong hug, a hug that spreads warmth in my heart and gives me the faith in love. Our love will be able to sustain this little separation, wont it?

"I will miss you too", tears welled up in my eyes.

"Shh.. dont cry. I love you. Nothing will change between us", he assured.

"I love you too", he kissed my forehead.

"The airport will be the witness of how distance cant reduce our love for each other", Rohan smiled at me.

"I hope so. I love you. I will miss you a lot."

I didn't wish to pull away from his hug. I hugged my parents who had come to see me off. Seeing the pride in their eyes I am very happy.

"My little girl is going abroad for internship. What can make a father more happy?", my dad hugged me. He rarely expresses his love. I am happy that my parents are proud of me.

"Have a safe journey", everyone wished me.

"Goodbye Anjali. I will wait for you to return", Rohan smiled but it didn't reach his eyes. He is sad to be away from me but he wont say it. Since my college has arranged for everything the only thing I need to take care of, are my documents, IDs and clothes.

Opps! I haven't checked the first and third rank holders. They are going to be my partners!

I take my seat in the alotted place waiting for the plane to take off to Berlin, capital of Germany. One professor is to accompany us, I just hope he/she will be a friendly person.

I looked around trying to search for a known face.

So stupid of me! I dont even know my partners till now.

"Anjali?", a middle aged woman enquired.

"Yeah.."

"I am professor Bharati. I didn't take any of your class but I have been called to accompany you."

"Thank you Mam. Where is your seat?"

"Just beside you. All four of us have consecutive seat numbers."

"Mam I dont know who are my partners."

"You will get to know soon", she said with a smile.

I stared out of the window and memories about my first flight with Rohan occupied my mind. Its not even an hour and I already miss being away from him.

"Hi mam. This is my seat."

My thoughts were broken as I glanced at the speaker with curiosity in my eyes. Soon I felt I regretted everything. My eyes lingered on him longer than it should and soon I looked away.

"Mmm.. hi.. hi Anjali", he spoke without looking at me.

Anshul is the last person on Earth I expected to be partnered with.

"Hi", I said maintaining the coldness of my voice. He shouldn't feel that I have an iota of feelings left for him.

"Do you know each other well?", Mam enquired.

"Yes mam."

"Thats very good. You will be good partners."

We could have been good partners indeed.

Now I am more worried about my other partner. I really need someone who will get along well with me. God save me please!!

"Good morning mam."

My eyes soon lighted up when I saw my final partnerA smile broke on my face.

Pritam.

I heaved a sigh of relief. Natasha will be so proud to know her best friend and boy friend are going to Berlin together. I hope happy tears will fill her eyes.

I gestured Pritam to sit with me.

"So you are the first rank holder? I didn't know."

"No second."

This means Anshul topped!

"We will get along well, what do you think?", Pritam asked keeping his voice low.

"Yeah...I hope so."

Soon the plane started taking off in the air and I missed Rohan more remembering how I had clutched him tightly.

Focus Anjali! Enjoy the trip, you are travelling to Berlin only once in your life!

"Missing Natasha?", I asked Pritam.

"No not much... I had a good time with her yesterday. Sometimes being away from your girlfriend feels like freedom", Pritam winked.

I wonder if Rohan also feels the same. Am I the only one missing him?

We landed after about nine hours. I will make memories for lifetime, I consoled myself. Professor escorted us to an apparent where four of us will stay for three months. The rooms had minimum furniture. I got the corner most room with a beautiful balcony.

"Anjali can we talk?", Anshul approached.

"No", I said flatly.

"Please.."

"Only five minutes. Tell whatever you want to say."

"I am genuinely sorry for whatever I have done. I know I have messed up badly. I know I have hurt you again. I lost myself in the moment. Alcohol fucked up my brains. I promise I wont cross the line pf friendship. For three months I wont be able to tolerate your coldness. Please forgive me."

I felt genuine regret his yes. Should I forgive him?

You had also found genuine love in his eyes which withered away after two years.

Its okay. We were too young.

"Okay I forgive you. You should remember we are only friends."

"A friendly hug?"

"Okay."

He hugged me lightly in a soft way with an air of awkwardness.

"I wont hurt you again."

"I hope so."

He smiled gently at me.

Should I tell Rohan about Anshul?

No it wont be a right decision. It mighr create insecurities in his mind. Anshul and I will only be friends, nothing more.

Being friends with your ex boyfriend isn't a good idea. What if you fall for him again?

I love Rohan. It cant happen.

Distances can change many things. I have to stay away from Anshul.

"Anjali coffee?", Anshul stood near the door.

"Y.. yeah.."

Handing me the cup of coffee he sat down in the chair near me.

"I still like you Anjali. It is going to be difficult to be so close to you and yet be nothing more than friends. I promise I wont cross that line ever. I wont ruin your marriage. Sometimes speaking my heart helps."

"Yeah its okay. I love my husband. I really love him. I have gotten over you long back. So please maintain the line of friendship."

"I will. Promise."

My phone buzzed with Rohan's name and I got a chance to excuse myself.

"I love you Anjali. Are you alright?"

"I love you too. I am alright."

"Who are your partners in this internship? Do you know them?"

I froze in my place. Should I tell him?

"I know both of them..."

He didn't ask further. I heaved a sigh of relief. I dont want him to worry about Anshul and get any negative thoughts.

I love him. I love him a lot. Our love is strong enough to cross every barrier in its way, isn't it?

"Anjali your coffee is getting cold."

Sipping the coffee I got lost in its taste which lingered on my tongue.

"This is amazing!"

"So a coffee hangout everyday", Anshul chuckled.

I smiled at him. This is going to be tough. I love Rohan, don't I?

Some of you might be upset with Anjali at this point.
