Arabella POVV -

It was time for the celebration of this stupid ball, I was currently getting bathed and plucked and waxed just like when I was being sold in that stupid house. That seems so long ago now, horrible memories I would rather not remember. "Do you always day dream Arabella will you get out." Someone shouted getting me out of my day dream.

Katy was standing there with her hands on her hips looking really mad. She had been told to get me ready for the ball and she wasn't a very patient person.

"I'm getting up, I'm getting up" I said laughing at her facial expression. I had missed her loads. I haven't seen her in ages and was so excited when she walked through my door.

"Come on hair and make up time" she said, clapping her hands. She dragged me into my room and started getting me ready.

After 4 hours, yes that's how it took. I was finally ready, I didn't even look like myself. "You look perfect," Katy said looking at her masterpiece.

"You think so?" I said and walked over to the mirror, my blonde hair was curled, bright green eyes looked even brighter and my red long dress was the most fabric I had worn since I had gotten here. It felt good to be covered up. I actually looked normal.

"It's time," Katy said, looking at the clock on the wall. I nodded my head at her and sighed this was it I was about to be put in a room with a bunch of blood sucking leeches as Jack would say. Ah Jack I didn't know how to feel about him anymore, he had left me here after claiming I was his mate, what kind of mate does that? Especially since I had read the book I just didn't believe it. Maybe he just used me because he was bored and needed some amusement while being stuck in the dungeon. I felt tears coming into my eyes but I shook my head no I wouldn't cry this is what my life would be like now I would be stuck living with vampires with the king next to me. I still hated his guts and would kill him any chance I could get if only I knew how to?

"Arabella you are going to be late, the ball has already started the king is waiting for you" Katy told me holding her hand out for me. I took her hand and took a deep breath.

"Let's go," I told her and she led me out the room holding my hand.

"Everything will work out Arabella I promise" She told me looking behind with a small smile. I just smiled the further we walked the more I could hear people chatting and the soft music of the ball. "This is where I leave you? You're going to be fine." Katy said and gave me one last hug before walking off towards the kitchen. She must be helping tonight, I would rather be helping right now.

I walked a little further, my heart hammering in my chest, palms getting sweaty. 'You can do this, come on just walk in, keep your head held high' I told myself and with a deep breath I walked into the ball room before I could tell myself no.

I took another deep breath. It was beautiful, people were everywhere chatter filling the room everybody looked beautiful. I've noticed that about vampires they get incredibly good looks which is unfair.

"You look beautiful" I heard Jaxson say and I felt him intertwine his hands in mine.

I gave him a small smile "thank you" I told him and he nodded taking us further into the ball room.

"What do you think?" he asked me, leading me to the middle of the floor.

"It's beautiful," I said, taking it all in.

"Indeed it is" He said looking straight at me.

I blushed again. What is with me blushing "would you like to dance Arabella?" he asked and took my hand in his and lead me to the dance floor. He held my hand and placed his hand on my waist. "I can't really dance" I mumbled and he must have heard me because he chuckled.

"Don't worry. I'll teach you" he said and started moving his feet. I copied moving and following his lead, he looked into my eyes "you look very beautiful."

"Thank you" I replied to his nice comment. He was being really nice for some strange reason. I could feel eyes on me and when I looked around some of the girls were giving me death stares.

"Maybe you would like to dance with somebody else?" I said trying to take my hands away but he only pulled me closer to him.

"They are only jealous of you Arabella by your beauty" he whispered in my ear and my whole body shivered at his lips. Odd my body has never reacted like that do him. We kept dancing he held me tight and hummed the song in my ear and when the song was finished he took me towards a table and sat down. "Please excuse me Arabella while I deal with a matter. I will be back as soon as I can." he told me his eyes looked angry something must have happened.

I just nodded and he was gone. I finally breathed out of his presence. He held a strong aurora around him and sometimes it was unbearable. I watched as people danced and chatted away without a care in the world, I felt out of place and started to wonder about my parents. I do hope they made it home and are ok.

"Arabella Hope Jones" someone called my name and I looked to the left and saw King George sitting on the chair next to me.

I looked down 'yes' I whispered. "So you're the girl who turned the king soft" he chuckled to himself "I can see why, you are beautiful and you smell divine. Kind of like peaches." he said smelling the air.

I scrunch my face up. What do I say? I just looked at the people dancing "Your not his beloved you know" he suddenly said and I turned my head towards him. He was lost in thought.

"I know I am not." I said and he looked taken back at my answer.

"He told you didn't he? About her?" he sat closer to me and I nodded my head. "wow " he breathed.

"What?"

"I can't believe he told you about Rachel, he must actually care about you." he paused "It was nice to finally talk to you Arabella but I must go duty calls." He gets up rather fast and walks towards the door of the ball room.

What is going on I thought. Why is everybody in such a rush to get out of here. Just then the lights in the ballroom cut out and the whole room was in darkness. I could hear people screaming. What was happening suddenly a light came on, not a bright one but enough so I could see everybody was panicking.

I was panicking what was happening, I got up and saw Katy coming towards me "Quick Arabella we need to go." She said and grabbed my hand. She didn't even look back, just kept walking towards the kitchen.

"What's going on Katy I don't understand where is King Jaxson ?" I asked her.

"He's busy. They have come back. The beasts are back" she said looking scared her heart started racing. Jack's back. Did he come for me after all this time? "We need to go to Arabella, we need to hide." she said pleading with me.

No this was my only chance to find Jack to see if he had come back for me or not. I ran out of the kitchen wolves were fighting vampires all around me. It was like a blood bath, one wolf stopped and growled at me oh no I'm going to die "nice wolf please don't hurt me" I said trying to calm the wolf down. It pulled its head to the side like it was confused under different circumstances I would have laughed but not this one. The wolf growled and pounced and I ducked but the wolf didn't land on me. It landed on the vampire behind me that was running towards me. I didn't think much as I ran towards the door that could get me out of this castle, I was running down the steps when I spotted a dark grey wolf with yellow eyes. "Jack." I whispered and the wolf's ears perked up, stopping his fight with the vampire.

He looked right into my eyes and I almost cried, he got distracted and the vampire clawed at his wolf. But Jack was too fast and put his wolf teeth around the vampire neck and I heard the snap. I closed my eyes.

"Bella" I heard his voice and I opened my eyes. I ran towards him and he had somehow turned into his normal human self but I didn't care. I jumped into his arms and he wrapped them around me. Tingles erupted everywhere on my body.

"I thought you were not coming back." I said and cried into his shoulder.

"I promised I would come back for my Luna and a promise I kept." He said and looked into my eyes.

He leaned in and kissed me on the lips my body felt like it was on fire, my lips tingling like crazy. "I missed you" I told him and he smiled at me before taking me into another kiss.

"Well well well, after everything Arabella I find you with the dog again." I heard his voice say Jack growled and I tensed oh no.
