"Happy birthdayyyy!" I said to Milani waking her up and she rubbed her eyes "Happ- thank you mommy." she said reaching to me

"Girl you five now ain't nobody finna pick you up." Dj said "I can't pick you up because I'm with child. Don't listen to him" I said

Dj literally never goes home. He technically has his own room but he mostly sleeps on Lani's floor unless he's mad at her but somehow she ends up asleep on his floor.

They actually had a sleep over last night all the girls were in Lani's room while the boys were with Dj. Everyone was down stairs in Lani's game room but Dj being Dj he came up with me.

"Happy birthday fuck nigga." Dj said hopping on her bed and she side eyed him then scratched her head laughing

"Thank you bitch." she said "Y'all gone stop cursing or I'm gone get that dang belt." I threatened

"Chil- is Siah here?" she smiled "No. I'm sorry." I pouted

She actually stayed up later than everyone last night thinking Messiah was going to walk through the doors any second.

"He said he was gonna be here on my birthday." she frowned "D-" "Fuck him. It's your birthday and if he's not here for your birthday he can choke on a lizard tail okay?" Dj cut me off

"Okay fuck him." Milani agreed

"I'm finna go get my belt." I mumbled "Noooo." they laughed running out of the room

"Yea I bet." I said to myself hearing my phone ring

"Do you need help making breakfast?" Yonaa asked me

"Yea, I'm about to start cooking now I already pre cut the frui- hold on Messiah calling me" I said hanging

"Yo where are you? You said you were going to be here for her birthday!" I fussed as soon as the call connected.

"Chill put her on the phone." he says in a raspy tone "And your sleep? You missed your flight or something?"

"Baby put her on the phone." he said again ignoring what I said I walked out of my room jogging down the stairs

He facetimed me as I made my way to her "Quit joggin'." he mumbled "Shut up punk."

"Milani somebody on the phone for you." I said and she walked over to me and grabbed the phone

"Ha-" she hung up before he could finish his sentence and gave me my phone back "Lani don't be mean." I said and Yonaa walked in along with my mom and Arlene

"Happy birthday chu chu ni ni." Yonaa coo'd at her and she ran over to Yonaa hugging her "Thank you Nonaa."

"Happy birthday my baby." my mom told her "Thank you grammy." she said hugging her "Happy birthday baby." Arlene hugged her "Thank you grama."

I watched my phone ring for a few seconds before answering it. "What?"

"Give her back the phone."

"Lani come here" I said and she groaned walking over to me and took the phone "What?" she mumbled

"Happy birthday mufucka." he said

"Fuck you and yo happy birthday. Happy pride month bitch. Sufocar." she spat and my eyes widened "Yea Lani!" Dj laughed

"I'ma whoop yo ass." he hung up

She gave me the phone and walked away making her way upstairs "He got my bestie fucked up on her birthday? Not on my watch." Dj mumbled going behind her

"They cuss more than me." Yonaa laughed "Word to." I chuckled shaking my head

"Poor baby." my mom pouted

"I'll make the sausage and bacon." Yonaa said "I'll do potatoes and eggs." Arlene said "I'll do waffles biscuits and french toast." My mom said

"I'ma go check on Lani I be back." I said to them

As I walked upstairs I heard Milani and Dj's voices grow louder.

"Mi you can't let nothing ruin your day okay? This day is only for you. Messiah tried to do what he could so don't be mad at him"

"But he promised me."

"Then he's going to be here. Maybe not right now but he's gonna be here okay?" he told her and I walked to her door seeing him hugging her

I slowly walked in the room and she looked up with a small frown and I got down to her level

"You're okay. Don't cry." I said wiping under her eyes "I want him here now." she sniffles "I do too. But, its your birthday so we're not going to worry about that" I said

"Okay."

"Now you're gonna go downstairs and have a good day. And if he don't come today when we see him we gone jump him and Dj can help." I said and she giggled

"Okay."

"And watch your mouth before I start walking around with a belt" I threatened "Everybody be havin' me messed up man." she said

"I ain't gone do it no more today though." she said walking out of the room "That's just today though." Dj said and I shook my head leaving out behind them

They both slid down the stairs and raced to her game room. "All I know is they better be friends for life." I said to myself jogging down the stairs

"Hand me the butter baby." I heard as I walked in the kitchen then I walked out to open the front door before it started to get smokey.

"Mommy my feet hurt." I whined as I walked back toward the kitchen. "Well sit down mija." she says before I fully walked in the kitchen

"Grab she wah coconut wata." Arlene demanded as I sat down laying my head on the table.

I heard it sit down "Thank you." I mumbled "Oh my goodness." I muttered

I sped walked to the game room and poked my head in. "Lani I'm about to go to the store right quick. If y'all want something tell Yonaa." I said

"Okay." she says not even paying attention

"I'm gonna go get some chips and drinks and stuff because I didn't get it yesterday I be back." I said grabbing my keys

"Be safe mija." I heard my mom say. I walked outside and saw Phat.

"Come to the store with me." I said "You gone buy me something?"

"No."

"Okay." he said walking over to me

"Oooou what y'all make me?" Phat asked walking into the kitchen. "Did they eat yet?" I asked

"When I'm done with the fruit then yea." my mom says cutting the honeydew melon and my eyes widen

"Amaaaa that's my melon" I frowned "It's only half."

I go to sit on the couch because Miraculous LadyBug was on then I seen Kaylia watching it along with Serenity.

"Hi babies." I smiled and they both waved at me. Serenity was one of the girls from Milani's gymnastics class.

She's so shy, proper and sweet. A month or two after we first got Milani she had just joined Milani's gymnastic and tumbling team.

Milani notice how shy she was and stretched with her, introduced her to some of her friends and some that she didn't even like. But After that day she still only stretched and hung out with Milani and whoever she was around.

Her mom is also really sweet when she first came to sit and watch she sat by me. It was kind of awkward at first because I didn't really know how to keep a conversation at first.

I told her a few times not to talk to me because I didn't know how to respond but she was patient with me and I liked that.

I soon did get comfortable with her and started to talk to her. Sometimes they would have little play dates but I would still be present.

Don't tell Dj though.

"Y'all don't wanna play with the other kids?" I asked them "They got too much energy this fine morning." Kaylia shook her head and I chuckled sitting down

I sat crisscross lifting my shirt to wear my small baby bump was exposed and Kaylia put her head on my shoulder.

I like Kaylia. She's so calm, smart, and mature. I feel like she get it from her dad though though cause her mama crazy as hell.

"You guys can change it if you want to." Serenity said "I fuc- I like this show." I said and Kaylia giggled "Yea we could leave it on." she says

"Can you put it in English please?" Serenity asks. It was in its regular language. French. Milani watches it like that because she understands it but so do I so it's fine with me.

I changed it a they thanked me then I started eating my melon. I can't believe she cut my shit open bruh.

"You guys come eat."

"Ain't said nothing but a word." Kaylia said getting up and Serenity followed behind her

"Just gone take away my lil company." I mumbled sprinkling more tajin on the melon.

"Is my mommy here yet?" I heard Milani ask "I'm in here baby eat your food first." I semi-yelled "Okay"

"Milani why everytime you talk you sound like you close to coughing or you out of breath?" Dj asked her

"Not today D'jaunn okay?" she said

"Okay."

I shook my head laughing to myself. They be killing me bruh.

"Here." Yonaa said handing me a plate of food and I smiled putting the melon down.

"Thank you."

"Don't be eatin' like we don't feed y'all either." she said "They be starvin' us huh?" I said to my stomach making her laugh

"Mommy look!" I heard Milani say and I squinted to find her. Then I spotted her with Dj.

They were holding hands jumping then I pulled my phone out to record they counted down and then did a backflip while still holding hands.

"Good job." I smiled

"Ni you wanna learn a tik tok with me?" Yonaa asked and I nodded.

"You should stay pregnant your so much more nicer." she mumbled and I chuckled "Y'all gone stop doin' me y'all know I'm nice." I mumbled

"Yea but like your now nice without the abuse." she said "I don't be got damn abusing y'all, y'all just be having me fucked up." I waved her off and she flinched

"Don't start." I said making her laugh "I'm fuckin' with you bruh."

We started to learn the dance then my mom wanted to learn it as well.

"Mom stand in the middle." She said quickly

I covered my ears walking away back to Yonaa, my mom and Arlene and they all were dying laughing.

"Yonaa. Do you want me to punch you?" I heard my dad ask "Desculpe, voce tem o numero errado."

"I'ma wrong number in yo a-." she cut him off hanging up and bussed out laughing then he started calling me

"Answer and act like he got the wrong number." Yonaa said and I nodded

"Oh my god none of y'all have my damn number saved or what?" he snapped and I put myself on mute laughing

"Es tut mir fhfleid aber ich verstehe nicht" I said "Yes you do fucking understand nevermind bruh." he said and hung up.

"K'nonii come get me now!" Milani yelled and I laughed at her attempt to say my name and got up to go over

I felt my phone buzz and I checked seeing a message from Messiah

"Come on." Yonaa laughed holding her hands out and I grabbed onto them letting her pull me up

I started running after them and they took off running.

We were now at the arcade playing our final round of laser tag. We played in pairs of two Milani chose me instead of Dj to be her partner surprisingly.

"Go ova there." she said nodding her head in the direction she wanted me to go

I tip toed over to where she told me to go and I seen Kj walking toward us making me shoot him then shoot Ky'lonn

I saw Dj and Pookie coming after me.

"Lani come. Hurry." I whisper yelled waving her over. "Shoot pookie." I said switching spots with her then I shot Dj.

Then the lights turned on. "Mommy we won!" Milani yelled with wide eyes. I chuckled giving her a high five.

"Where did you even come from?" Pookie asked her "I was over there and she told me to come over here and shoot you." she shrugged and I turned her taking off her vest.

"Y'all ready to go now?"

"Where the ice cream and cake at?" Dj asked "At the house." I said "We finna go to the house?"

"D'jaunn don't question my mom okay?" Milani said making me laugh "We finna go to the house." I said

"I can't wait until tomorrow." he chuckled walking away

"What's tomorrow huh? Huh? HUH?! Oh okay." Milani said cocking her head to the side everytime she said huh

"I'ma knock you ass out. Tomorrow gone be night night time nigga." he said and we all bussed out laughing

We all walked into the room we came out of to see our scores Monte and I were tied for most kills alone but Milani and I had the most team kills.

D'jaunn and Pookie were in 2nd.

KK and T'akani were in 3rd.

After that we started to head toward the house and I made sure to drive slow they could get there before us.

"Can we go to yogurt land?" Milani asked.

In the car was Milani, Kaylia, and Serenity.

"Do y'all want that too?" I asked since it was coming up "Yes please."

"Yes."

I nodded turning the music back up. Dumbass by Sada Baby played.

"You forgot I hit that bitch before she was yo bitch?" I heard them rap in unison making my head snap to the back and do a double take

"He a weirdo." Milani said and I nodded turning into the parking lot with the yogigo, yogurtland, and golden spoon.

"Y'all are so bad" I chuckled opening the door for them. Like what happened to bleeping out the curse words?

"Hello welcome to Yogurtland." the worker greeted with a warm smile "Hiiii." They waved

They too damn friendly. Gone get kidnapped.

I gave them the bowls then realized none of them could reach the yogurt dispensers.

"Ain't no way." I chuckled grabbing the bowls from them. "What kind do y'all want?"

They told me what kind of yogurt they wanted and what kinds of fillings they wanted.

"Here are your spoons. Is this all for today?"

"Yes."

"Your total is 13.81. Will that be cash or card?"

"Cash." I mumbled handing her a $20 bill. "You can keep the change." I added "Thank you have a nice day." she said giving me my receipt.

I opened the door for them to come out.

The drive back to the house was comfortable and funny these kids are characters. When we made it to the gate it had balloons and a banner that said

"Woahhhh." Milani dragged and as I pulled in there were decorations every where.

I pulled into my driveway and we all got out of the car and Milani was looking around in awe.

"This is freaking awesome." she says barely above a whisper. "You guys can come outside in a little bit." I said and she nodded slowly still taking everything in.

I unlocked the doors and peeked inside then open it for them to go in.

"Why it's so dark?" she mumbled and I turned on the lights "HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYY!" Everyone yelled making her jump

"Y'all scared the hell out of me." she mumbled holding her chest and I chuckled shaking my head

My mom came over and gave her a "Birthday Girl" sash with money pinned to it and Arlene put a Tiara on her head

"Thank you guys." she smiled "Let me take your pictures then you guys can go play." I said taking the yogurt from her.

"Say cheese"

"Do this." I said doing duck lips and peace fingers and she did "You so pretty." I smiled

She started doing more poses then her eyes widen and she ran behind me making me spin around and catch her tiara and see Messiah.

"Happy birthday." he chuckled picking her up "I thought you wasn't here stupid." she said hugging him.
