The Estes Method usually gave us our best proof and interaction. The hope of the Estes Method is to further isolate and concentrate on the random radio feed. One must have the SB7 Spirit Box tapped into soundproof headphones, (so they cannot hear the questions being asked) and be blindfolded (so they cannot guess/read lips at what is being asked. Once this has been established, the other investigators in the room, not the person listening, ask questions and see if the radio snippet of the human receiver match. The human receiver says out loud any words or phrases they can make out. It was time now to try this out.

"Do you want me to wear the headset?" Sam asked seeing me eyeballing the headset. It was as if I was already catching sounds and voices.

"Nah don't think I am ready for that...." I said shaking my head. I could see the worry in his eyes. My best friend was an incredible guy but I got this. Although I appreciate his concern for me.

"Remember dude, clear head..." he said gently, smiling at me before he took a seat to get comfortable. I got the blindfold on him and helped him with the headset. Once he was all set I began asking questions.

"Hello, is anyone there?" I asked, watching his body language, seeing how he was reacting.

"Hello," he said quickly his body still rocking gently back and forth to keep focus.

"Hello! Are you okay with us being here?" I asked, as his body stopped and he began to speak, quietly, almost as if he was struggling to hear what was being said.

"Yes.. followed..... help...." He said suddenly after a few seconds and began rocking again.

"Help you with what?" I asked.

"Set Free..... trapped...." He answered still focused on the music and voices in his ears.

"Who did you follow?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.

"Colby...." He answered quickly making him sit up straight and making my eyes widen in shock. Oh my god!!!

"You followed me?" I asked confused. Nothing, no answer.

"Help," he repeated after a moment. He then repeated my name and help over and over again.

"I know you need help.. with what?!" I asked, getting frustrated. I ran my fingers thru my hair and was getting tired of no answers.

"Colby," he said. I tried again for a good fifteen minutes but I was getting nowhere but those two words. Nothing else was happening till he paused for a second and he put them together in a weirder way.

"Help me how? Why do I need help?" I asked.

"Help Colby," he said. After a moment I patted his shoulder. We were stuck in a word loop.

"Dude.. what the hell?!" he asked just as confused, "They sounded so confused, it was SO WEIRD! It wasn't mechanical, almost like an actual female voice," he said.

"Really?! That's so odd! Why was it my name? did it mean it followed ME here?! I don't have an attachment!" I said confused.

"Oh! maybe they want to talk to you!!!" he said, offering me the headset., making me put my hands up.

"My thoughts and focus aren't clear..... it won't work.." I said.

"We gotta try dude.... the words sounded frantic...." he said. I sighed and took them in my hands. I took a seat and he got me blindfolded before helping me with the headphones. Once he turned them on I tried to relax the best I could, and focus on the sounds and possible words that may become audible.

It was quiet for a while, till I heard the static changing.

"Colby," a voice said. It was so weird... that voice.. it sounded, almost familiar, but I said it out loud, making sure Sam was hearing the words as well.

"Colby, help," it begged again, and this time it was more noticeable. I quickly stood up and practically flung the headphones off my head. That was not okay, it was so messed up. Jennifer's voice... it was identical to her voice, but it wasn't possible.

"Whoa whoa, dude, are you okay?" Sam asked rushing over to me, to try to steady but Tears were streaming down my face, and that voice was imprinted in my mind.

"I need to take a break," I whispered shrugging him off of me and exiting the room.

"Colby! Colby, wait!!!" he begged, trying to pull me back.

"No man, it's not funny... This ghost or demon or whatever is just fucking with my head!" I said, then turned back to the room shouting, "And it's not fucking funny!!!"

"Colby man, talk to me, what did you hear?" he asked, grabbing ahold of my shoulders.

"Jennifer, it was her voice, I heard it... I know her voice...." I said, shrugging him off once more, and pacing, "It's fucked up.... maybe I came out too soon!"

"Colby, I heard it too, I just thought I was going crazy," he reassured, nodding his head.

"Why tho?" I asked, shaking my head, still completely confused at what was happening, "Why that voice, how would they even know?"

"Dude I know it sounds crazy, but it could be your energy or they were listening! we talked about it," he suggested, running his hand thru his hair.

"Outside, before we came in!!" I said, trying to think clearly, "How would it know? dude, I can't I need a break." Then I made sure to storm out and leave things behind, going out to get some fresh air. I wasn't ready. It was too soon. I felt a cold breeze again and then I heard it.

"Colby," the voice came again thru the wind.

"What the fuck do you want from me?! this isn't funny!!!" I shouted, tears rolling down my cheeks, my arms spread open almost like I was asking something to end me or this crazy dream.

"Please, leave me alone!!! Stop using that voice!!!" I begged.

"Colby," it whispered again, but from behind me, causing me to jerk around so fast I thought I'd slip on the mud in the yard. I swear I saw a shadow by the building. I blinked a few times and it disappeared. This was so fucked up and I didn't have any way to explain it. I believed in this sort of thing, of course, it was my job, but THIS! My dead fiance's voice and a shadow figure... all the week after I picked up her ring.

Then it hit me. I slowly removed the ring from around my neck, the diamonds catching the light from the outside building lights. I felt a warmth from it, then looked in the direction where I saw the shadow. Nothing was there but it was almost like I could feel a presence. HER presence.

"Jen," I whispered, sinking to the ground.

I am loving this story, I am trying to take it slow, not rush too fast, but the images and the dream were fully played out in my head. I am anxious for everyone to see, feel, and read my vision. :D please let me know what you think of it so far!
