I love life. :)
Note the sarcasm...
Welp. Got another MRI. Just waiting for the results!!
And well I'm in a pickle.
I'm starting to fall for my bestfriend and I think he like's me too. But idk.
Help me!
Anywhore. Let's get this chapter started!
-----------------------------
Jack
I groaned as I heard my phone ding.
"What the hell people." I mumbled as I used my hand to feel around my bedside table. "I'm trying to sleep here."
I finally found my phone and hit the home button.
"Shit!" I yelled as I dropped it and covered my eyes.
Stupid bright light...
After finally being able to see again, I unlocked my phone and saw that I had a new message from River.
I smiled as I typed him back.
I put my phone down just as it dinged.
I hate when that happens.
I finally decided and got up to get ready.
I groaned as I brushed my hair.
I hate morning.
Getting ready didn't take very long and I ran to the front door when I heard the doorbell ring.
I stopped running though when I saw a note on the table.
Dear Ms. Banks.
You were out of groceries so I left this morning to go get some. It won't take long and I will be right back.
Have a good day.
-Hank.
'Aww Hank.' I laughed to myself.
Too bad you're a bad guy.
I heard the doorbell ring again.
"Oh crap!" I yelled as I ran towards the door.
"Hey." River smiled as he saw me.
"Hey." I smiled back. "You can come in. I need to grab my purse."
River nodded and closed the door behind him.
"You're house is beautiful." River smiled.
"Thank you." I smiled back. "I'm glad you like it."
"I love the whole country design going on. It reminds me of my house." River smiled as he looked at everything.

I was about to answer him, but the doorbell rang again.
"What the?" I muttered confused as I walked towards my door.
River followed me, but stayed off to the side.
Damn River.
He was watching me like a hawk.
"Hel-oh. It's you." I sighed as I saw Derek standing there.
"Damn Jack. Don't look too excited to see me." Derek muttered as he looked at me.
I sighed. "What do you want?"
"I came here for my sweatshirt." Derek says.
"Sweatshirt?" I asked confused. "I gave you that back when I dumped your sorry ass."
Derek sighed and looked at the ground. "I know. I just wanted an excuse so I could talk to you."
"Nice try Derek." I said getting angry. "We are over. We have been over for a long time. That isn't going to change anytime soon."
"Why not?" Derek asked as he turned around and started to pace on my porch. "Why can't we just-wait. Did you get a new truck?"
"No." I said as I crossed my arms.
Why the hell won't he leave yet?
"Then whose is it?" Derek asked as he looked at me in confusion.
"Mine." Someone said from behind me.
Derek froze and clenched his fists.
He turned to his left and met a smirking River.
"Who the hell are you?" Derek asked as his knuckles started to turn white.
"The name is River." River smirked as he held his hand out.
Derek didn't move. He continued to glare at River.
"Well okay then." River laughed as he retracted his hand.
"Why are you at Jack's house?"
"We have a date. Which you are causing us to be late at by the way." River shrugged like it's no big deal.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed River's hand and pulled him out of my house.
Yep. Sparks again. And they feel amazing this time instead of feeling weird. I must be getting use to them or something.

I locked up the house and turned to see a shaking Derek and a smug looking River.
River was clearly enjoying this way too much.
Oh Lord please help me.
"A date?" Derek spat.
River nodded. "That's what boyfriends take their girlfriends out on."
"Girlfriend?" Derek and I asked at the same time.
River winked and made a rolling action with his fingers quickly so Derek wouldn't see it.
I laughed to myself as I got the hint.
Oh River. I like you my friend.
"Yes. River and I are dating. And you are making us late for our date." I smiled as River grabbed my hand.
"But." Derek said. "You miss me. I know you do."
I held up my hands as Derek took a step towards me. "Don't flatter yourself there boy."
"Boy?" Derek scoffed. "I'm not a boy. I'm a man."
I laughed. "Real men don't cheat."
River smirked and walked up to Derek.
I gulped as River towards over him and got in his face.
Please Lord. I really don't feel like bailing River out of jail.
"Listen here Derek." River said as he narrowed his eyes down at Derek. "You need to stay the hell away from my girlfriend. Don't talk to her, look at her, or even think about her. Or else you will need a fucking hospital."
Not gonna lie. That was pretty hot.
River smirked as Derek gulped in fear and pulled me along to his truck.
I said a thank you as River opened my door and shut it once I was inside.
"His face was priceless." River laughed as we backed out of my driveway.
I looked ahead and saw Derek stomping towards his tiny truck.
"I should have known that he was bad. He drives a Toyota truck." I shivered in disgust.
River nodded. "That is a disgrace to truck kind."
I laughed. "That is true."
We kept talking and before we knew it, we were in front of IHop.
"IHop!" I yelled as I threw my door open.
River laughed at me as we walked inside. "Damn girl. You really do love this place."
I nodded. "Yes. If I want to eat, I eat. And I'm proud of it."
River placed his hand over his heart. "Where have you been all my life?"
I giggled and the waiter sat us down at a table.
"Thanks for the whole Derek thing by the way." I said once the waiter left to go get us our drinks.
River waved me off. "No prob Jack. I'm just glad that I could help."
I smiled. "I think he might try and leave me alone now."
"I think so." River laughed. "Hey Jack?"
I looked at River confused as he turned serious.
"What's up?" I asked.
"I like you." River said suddenly. "I mean I like like you. A lot actually. And I really like going on dates with you. The first one was so much fun. And I was hoping we could keep doing them. So Jack. Will you be my girlfriend?"
Oh wow.
I did not see that coming.
Shit. What do I say?
I should probably stop talking to myself and answer the poor guy.
I looked up at a nervous River was playing with the edge of the menu.
"Yes." I said.
"You will? Really?" He asked smiling.
I nodded laughing. "That's why I said yes."
"Oh. Right." River blushed. "Thank you Jack. You won't regret it."
Let's hope not.
Oh shit. How am I suppose to protect River from Hank?
I need to think of something.

Hey Faithful Shifters.
I'm really sorry for the short chapter. I have to go and I had to end it somewhere.

Mana Tank Magus
Jonathan Orville has had a thoroughly enviable life, completely devoid of pain or suffering. Though his life is tragically cut short due to a sharp rock, he would never regret his perfectly positive life where nothing bad ever happened to him, ever.Even though he doesn't regret it at all, he still finds himself summoned to the netherworld for a new adventure as livestock for a needlessly attractive demoness who is totally probably in love with him. This is a story about using the power of positive thinking to overcome adversity. Demonic forest fires, consumption of souls, rivers of blood and rampant carnage; none of these can get in the way of a dedicated effort to think positively.Newest chapters at: https://manatankmagus.wordpress.com/This location is likely to stay a bit behind. I am very lazy. :DDISCLAIMER: My primary purpose here is Comedy rather than badass skills and righteous adventures (although there's some of that too). The main character can be a little bumbling at times and has a much higher opinion of himself than justified. If you really dislike that kind of thing, this is probably not for you.
