Your whole life seemed to be around Taehyung. Being his maid, being his partner, you really needed a break from all of these things, but you couldn't do anything.

You needed money non stop, there was no break in that. Even if the hospital offered a free month for your mother to stay there, you still had to afford other things in the house.

The only way was for time to freeze. Only for a while. Only to take a breath.

The only day you managed to smile, the day you became taehyung's partner and he made you feel so safe, you had no idea that when you would go back home, you'd receive a call from your brother.

He was in the hospital, because he broke his leg at work.

You couldn't believe it.

You just wanted to breathe.

You hugged him tightly, your heart hurting like crazy just by seeing him lying on the hospital bed. His eyes were teary as he cupped your cheeks.

"Y/N, I'm sorry, an accident happened. I'm so sorry"

"What are you sorry about? Just stay here as long as you need, until you're perfectly fine again" you told him, trying to hold your tears.

He'd just feel worse seeing you weak. He needed to know you were okay to live alone, to work and to take care of yourself, him and your mother. You wanted to be a person he could rely on.

"Staying in the hospital is an expense itself. I'm so sorry sis, I keep causing problems I could have avoided..."

"It could have happened to anyone, Namjoon, it's okay. I have enough money for this month and I'm working hard, I can take care of our matters until you discharge." you said smiled sweatly at him.

You spent hours with him, keeping him company.

The moment you left the hospital, you stopped smiling. You were alone, and didn't have to put up that face anymore.

You were feeling like everything was getting worse and worse. You were trying so hard only to see things not improving in your life. School? Work? Family? What was even okay?

Even when you arrived at your house, you realized that even your house was a burden in your life. An expense, a debt your father left you.

You were about to enter, but you noticed Taehyung standing at the doorsteps. He locked eyes with you and he stood up, uproaching you.

Why is he here... He'll definately see there's something wrong with me, I want to stay alone, I want...

"Are you okay, Y/N? I've been calling you, you didn't show up for work." he said in low voice, concerned about you.

Have you ever felt being in the verge of tears, and thinking you can hold it? But as soon as someone asks if you're okay, or what happened, yeah, that's enough to make you break down.

You cried your eyes out just like that, once again in front of Taehyung. He embraced you without giving it a thought, as if he wanted to hide you from the world.

You stayed there, crying in his embrace. Many minutes passed, till he finally talked.

"I'll take you to my house. You'll sleep there tonight"

You were about to protest, but he put his finger on your lips, preventing you from talking. His eyes were glaring at you, pointing out he wouldn't take no as an answer.

"Don't you dare to say no. It hurts so much seeing you crying in my embrace every time. Whatever is making you like this, I want to protect you from it for a while, okay? You're coming with me"
