"Yeah, you can be the greatest, you can be the best

You can be the King Kong bangin' on your chest

You can beat the world, you can beat the war

You can talk to God, go bangin' on his door

You can throw your hands up, you can beat the clock..."

Heaving, I brought the dumbbells up to my shoulders and squeezed my muscles. I was in my gym room working out since I had nothing to do today.

Sweat dripped my body, and I continued my biceps curl. All the work you have to do to get a good body.

"You can go the distance, you can run the mile

You can walk straight through hell with a smile

You can be a hero, you can get the gold

Breakin' all the records they thought never could be broke-"

I groaned when a call interpreted my song. I placed the dumbbells down and picked up a towel. Wiping the sweat off my face, I walked to my phone and took it out of the speaker. I rolled my eyes when I saw Louis's name on it.

"If it's about your stupid party, then I'm hanging up," I said as soon as I picked up.

"Drew! My friend, of course, it's not about that." He let out a nervous chuckle.

"Then?" I asked, and he paused.

"Alright, it's about it the party-"

"I'm hanging up."

"No! Please listen, it's really important!" He pleaded, and I sighed.

"Be quick." I glanced at the time and saw it was around six in the afternoon.

"Alright. It's a really serious problem, so listen carefully."

"Say already." I groaned.

"The problem is that on Valentine's everything is red, but it's for couples since I'm doing the opposite only for singles. I need a different color for the balloons and I don't know what to choose."

"You called me to ask for a... balloon color?" I said deadpan.

"Yes."

"And I'm the only one you could think of?"

"No... I asked Brittany, and she said red, which I can't do. Maddie said to pick black, but that's too dark. I don't want the singles to feel more alone with the dark vibe than they already are. Jordan doesn't know. I didn't call Tiana and David because I know they'll be busy doing stuff..." I rolled my eyes and he continued. "... Nate and Ben are not picking, so yeah, you are the only one left."

I sighed and shook my head. "What's the opposite color of red you see in movies?"

"Um... Blue?"

"You have your color." The line went silent for a minute, then Louis burst out laughing.

"Dude, you are freakin' genius!" I was about to hang up but halted when he spoke to someone in the background. "Hey, Chloe, we are going with blue!"

"Wait..." My brows furrowed in confusion. "Chloe is with you?"

"Yeah. She's been helping me out all day. Isn't she amazing?" He adored.

"Yeah-but... Is Lillian with you too?"

"No, she's not."

"Where is she?"

"I don't know."

"Then ask her."

"Who?"

"Chloe dumba**," I grunted.

"Oh... Wait... Hey Chloe! Do you know where Lillian is?!" He asked her in the background and I heard Chloe's voice.

"No! I talked to her in the morning and she was at home. Must be busy reading her books!" She answered.

"Chloe is saying-" Louis repeated, but I cut him off.

"I heard her." Before he could say anything, I hang up.

I leaned on the table and ran my finger through my hair. Lillian said she was hanging out with her friends and the only friend I know of her was Chloe, but Chloe is with Louis... And Lillian is not with them. That means...

Did she lie to me?

But why would she do that?

Shaking my head, I walked to my bench and sat on it. I scrolled my phone to look for her number and called her, but it went straight to voicemail, making me frown.

Why the f**k is her phone off?!

I raked my brain and an idea to call Toby came because he was also her friend, but the thought of calling the jerk made me scowl.

She said she was hanging out with her friends...

Sighing, I massaged my forehead, and out of the blue, Mark's face came to my mind.

He's also Lillian's friend!

Suddenly feeling angry at the thought of that a**hole with Lillian, I jolted up from my bench and paced the room. I recalled when that jerk of a face said that Lillian would never go for a guy like me at the fan match. Because of him, I froze, and he took the chance and ran to Lillian.

She can't be with him...

Feeling frustrated, I walked out of my gym room and went to the bathroom. After taking a quick shower, I wore my black hoodie with blue ripped jeans and a check shirt over it.

I jogged downstairs and walked out of my house. My parents and Abigail were at some family friends' house for a dinner party. I ran to my car but slowed down when I heard AJ barking.

"I'll be back in a minute, buddy. Take care of the house!" I said, getting in my car while he stood watching me. I turned on my car and drove towards the main road.

~•~ • ~•~ • ~•~

Counting the house on the street, I stopped in front of the twelfth house. It was easier to identify Lillian's house like this. Parking my car in the driveway, I ran to the door and knocked.

"Coming!" Mrs. Smith opened the door and her eyes widened when she saw me. "Andrew! What a big surprise! Come in!"

"I ah-" she yanked me in before I could say something and took me to the living room where Mr. Smith was sitting on the couch.

"Look who came honey!" She exclaimed and Mr. Smith turned to see me shocked.

"What is he doing here?"

"He's here to have dinner with us, obviously!" She turned to me. "You should have told me before, I've made bean chilly and would have something good for you."

I opened my mouth, but Mr. Smith beat me.

"We can still order something." He said, looking hopeful.

"I'm not here for dinner Mrs. Smith," I said, and they looked at me, disappointed.

"Oh..." Her shoulders slumped and the way her face fell made me guilty.

"I mean... I'll be here for dinner someday and let you know before." Now that made her happy.

"Good." She patted my shoulder. "Come on, sit down."

"I uh... I'm actually looking for Lillian."

"Lillian?" They both glimpsed at each other.

"Uh um..." I should have come up with an excuse. "I uh... I'm failing my history. I thought she would help me with it."

"She's a junior." Her father pointed out.

"But she is good with studies," I said and internally groaned.

I feel like an idiot.

"Of course she is." Mrs. Smith giggled and sat beside her husband. "But she's not at home."

"Do you know where she is?" I asked cautiously.

"She's in Hidden Hills with her friends." She said, and my eyes widened.

I was right!

She is with Mark!

"Where in Hidden Hills exactly?"

"She's at clu-oph." Mr. Smith began but was cut off when Mrs. Smith nudged him in the stomach.

"We are not sure where she is." She sweetly said.

"Huh?" I tilted my head.

"And she'll stay the night there." She added.

"Alright..." Walking backward, I gave an awkward laugh. "I'll leave and think of someone else to study with." I didn't want her parents to be worried about her.

"Don't forget about the dinner!" Mrs. Smith said, following me.

"Sure." I smiled at her and hurried to my car.

I drove out of their driveway and headed toward the highway.

F**k this is bad... That guy doesn't give me the right vibes. He could do anything to her!

"Hey, Siri call Austin."

"Calling Austin..." The bell rang a few times. Then my brother picked it up.

"Austin, I need your help."

"What? Everything alright?"

"Yeah- No- I mean... Are you still in contact with that friend of yours that does the hacking and all stuff?"

"Yes. I am." He answered suspiciously.

"Can you ask him to track a number?"

"Andrew..." He sighed. "He does that to help in the cases for police, not for your personal use-"

"It's important, Austin." The line went silent. "I swear this is the first and last time I'm asking."

"Fine. I'll see what I can do."

"Love you, bro." I sent him Lillian's number, and he told me to wait.

After a few minutes, he sent me the address, and I put it on my screen for directions to see it was of some club. I geared up my car and drove towards Hidden Hills at full speed, making sure there weren't cops to arrest me.

~•~ • ~•~ • ~•~

I parked my car in front of a club named 'Know us' and took my fake ID from the glove box. The line was big and impatiently waited for my turn. I dialed Lillian's number, but it still went straight to voice mail.

I showed my ID to the bouncer and walked inside. Frowning, I opened the closet-shaped door. The music blared, and I took in my surrounding. Guys were grinding to each other on one side and girls on the other. A few guys walked past me down and gave me a wink.

Wait...

It's a gay club!

I stood on the steps stunned and looked around when I heard commotion towards the stage. My eyes darted to the stage and widened when I saw Lillian with some people taking her shirt off.

What the f**k is she doing?!

"Lillian!" I shouted her name, but the music was louder and she couldn't hear me. Pushing people out of my way, I ran to her. "LILLIAN!"

Giggling, she threw her shirt in the air. I was glad when I saw her wearing a camisole. She looked around and saw everyone in their undergarments. Shrugging, she began unbuttoning her pants.

Oh no, she's going to regret this in the morning.

I jumped on the stage and yanked her towards me.

"Ouch!" she yelped when she bump into my chest.

"What are you doing?!" I scolded.

I put my hand on her waist to steady her and took a sharp inhale when it touched her bare skin. She slowly angled her head and looked at me with her wide green eyes. I gulped and darted my eyes over her flushed face.

"Am I dreaming?" She whispered, looking at me in disbelief and I got out of my daze.

"I wish you were," I grumbled and took my shirt off.

"Hey! Get your hands off of her, you scumbag!" I turned and saw a blue-haired girl yelling at me.

"She's with me," I shouted and wrapped my shirt around Lillian.

"Like hell she is!" She stalked toward me, but Toby stopped her.

What is he doing here?

Oh, wait... It's a gay club.

I saw Toby calming the blue-haired girl while I took Lillian off the stage.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"What are you doing here?" I retorted.

"I asked first." She said in a sassy tone, making me pause near the bar.

"Where is he?" I asked, ignoring her.

"You know about him?" Her eyes widened.

"Yes, I know. Now tell me where that a**hole is." I fumed.

"Don't call him that. He's an innocent guy." She pouted.

"Innocent?" I scoffed, gesturing towards the dance floor. "I can see how innocent he is to bring to you this place,"

"You shouldn't be angry just because he's different." She murmured.

"Different?" I frowned, then it clicked in my mind. "Wait... Mark is gay?"

"Huh?" She tilted her head.

"Mark... The dude from the soccer match." I tried to jog her memory.

"He's gay?" She questioned, surprised.

"That's what I'm asking you."

"How would I know that?"

"I don't know... Aren't you friend?"

"We talked a few times in high school that doesn't make him my friend." She crossed her arms.

"Then why are you here with him?"

"With who?" She asked, looking interested, making me confused.

"Mark."

"Why would he be with me?"

"Because you came here with him."

"I didn't." I opened and closed my mouth in confusion.

"Then who were you talking about?"

"The one you were talking about." She answered nonchalantly, and I groaned, rubbing my hand over my face.

She's wasted.

"What did you drink?" I asked, and she gave me a sheepish smile.

"Tequila."

"How many shots?"

"I forgot the number." She grinned.

"What do you think you are doing party popper?!" I turned towards the voice and saw the blue-haired girl with toby. "She was having fun."

"Fun?" I sneered. "She was getting naked in front of hundreds of guys. You should have stopped her."

She burst out laughing and gestured towards Lillian. "Does she look naked to you? I'm sure you must have seen more naked girls than her."

I cleared my throat and stood straight. "She doesn't go around doing this type of stuff and is wasted. Someone should have stopped her."

"It's a gay club, Andrew." Lillian giggled. "I bet they'll be more interested in you than me."

"That's not the point, Lillian."

"Who are you to order her?" The blue-haired girl eyed me. "Her father?"

"I'm her..." I trailed off, not sure what to say. "... friend."

"Oh, yeah." She raised her brows and gave me a once over.

"I brought Lillian with me, Andrew." Toby intervened.

"Why did you bring her to this place?" I growled.

"He didn't drag me." Lillian rolled her eyes. "I came here myself with his boyfriend." She said, and I snapped my eyes to horrified-looking Toby.

"She's a third wheeler?" I raised my brows.

"No... Um... Well..." He shuddered to look around. "She is not. We all came to have some fun."

"And where is this 'boyfriend' of yours?" I inquired, and he gulped.

"He's somewhere here. You don't have to worry about him."

"That's it. I'm taking her home." I extended my hand to grab Lillian's arm, but nothing came. I looked to my right and saw her place empty. "Where's she?"

"She was right here a second ago." The blue-haired mumbled, looking around.

"We need to find her," Toby said, and we split up.

Bouncing on my toes, I searched for her on the dance floor but couldn't find her. To my left, I saw a hallway leading to a bathroom and followed it. I opened the door to the only bathroom and there were three stalls. Peeking down, I saw black shoes in one and knocked on the door.

"Lillian?"

"Yes?" she answered, and I blew a breath in relief.

"What are you doing in there?"

"What do you think?" She answered, amused, and I felt my face heat.

"Right... I-I'll be outside." I mumbled and walked out.

Why the hell am I feeling this embarrassed?!

I heard a flush and tapped my foot, but Lillian didn't come out.

"Lillian...?" I asked, peeking through the door and saw her leaning toward the sink. "Are you alright?"

"I'm feeling nauseous." She answered, adjusting her glasses and whispered, looking dead in my eyes. "I think I'm pregnant."

"You're not pregnant. You are drunk," I muttered.

"But I can be pregnant too."

"Did you ever have sex with someone?" I asked, and she tapped her chin.

"In dreams, yes. In reality, no."

"Then you are not."

"You're right." She beamed. "Guess you are a pretty face with a brain,"

"This is the second time you are saying," I smirked. "But this time as a compliment."

"Well... You are pretty no doubt on that." She smiled, and I gave her a toothy grin, feeling thrilled, but it didn't last when out of the blue she asked. "How many girls did you have sex with?"

"I will not answer that," I said in a monotone, grabbing her hand and we walk outside.

"Why?" She wiggled her brows. "Too many to count."

"Let's drop this for now." I cleared my throat when she interlocked our fingers.

"You are so cute when you are nervous, Andrew." She pinched my cheeks.

"Will you stop that, please?" I grumbled as I felt my inside getting warm.

She giggled and pointed in front. "Look, there's Trixie and Toby!"

"Where were you?" Toby asked, looking relieved.

"I drank too much and had to pee. You all were babbling and weren't stopping, so I went by myself." She shrugged.

"Now I'm taking her home," I said and was about to walk, but the blue-haired girl stepped in front of us.

"You can not take her." She crossed her arms. "Not without his permission."

I frowned, and she pointed behind me at a bartender.

"Jonathan!" Lillian shouted and waved at him.

He looked up and frowned when he saw us. Jumping from the bar, he came to us.

"What's going on?" He asked, eyeing Lillian and my interlocked hands.

"I'm leaving now," Lillian answered. "Andrew came to take me."

"Andrew?" He raised his brows at me.

"I think she had enough fun for tonight and before she gets in more trouble, I'm taking her home," I answered, not sure why I was telling this guy.

"And why would I let her go with you?" He asked, crossing his arms. "She's my responsibility."

"Not anymore," I said firmly.

"Who are you?"

"He's a friend." Toby stepped forward.

"A friend?" He gave me a once over.

Why wouldn't anyone seem convinced about that?!

"It's alright, Jonathan." Lillian yawned. "I'm feeling tired, anyway."

"Are you sure he's not forcing you?" He asked her, and I raised my brows.

"No." She giggled. "He's a good friend."

"Alright then." He nodded and took a step back. "You can go. I'll let your brother know."

They hugged her, and I watched as they said goodbye. Toby whispered something in her ear and she gave him a thumbs up. I narrowed my eyes at him, but he ignored it.

I took Lillian out to my car and helped her sit in the passenger seat. Settling in the driver's seat, I drove towards West High.

"How did you find me?" She asked, looking sleepy.

"Long story." I shrugged. "I'll tell you that later. Why don't you sleep?"

She nodded and let out a cute yawn. "Good night, Andrew."

"Good night, Lillian." I chuckled and focus on the road.

~•~ • ~•~ • ~•~

After around an hour's drive, I reached my house and parked my car outside. I groaned when I saw my dad's car.

They're home.

I glanced at Lillian and saw her peacefully sleeping. I brought her to my house, not sure if her parents would be happy to see me bringing their drunk daughter home. Sighing, I got off my car and went towards the passenger seat.

"Lillian... Lillian..." I patted her cheek lightly to wake her up, but she didn't budge. I took her seat belt off and picked her up in my arms.

Damn, she's light.

Closing the door with my hip, I walked towards my house's back door. On my way, AJ got out of his doghouse and watched me. I gestured for him to stay silent. He sat down and tilted his head.

"Good boy," I whispered and entered my house.

The lights were off and I knew everyone must have slept by now. I tiptoed to my room upstairs, carefully trying not to wake my parents.
